Review 2：There was a really nice view to Como lake. The room was clear and the space is enough. We had one of the best breakfast in this hotel during our trip in Italy.

Review 4：Hotel offers a fantastic view – over and over again I came out on the balcony to admire the mountains and the lake that are incredible. The room has everything you need. Breakfast is quite good. From the center of Como, It is easy and cheap to rich the hotel by funicular. Free shuttle service from the funicular to the hotel makes the hotel a perfect place to stay on Lake Como. In addition, 200 meters from the hotel you will find lighthouse, which again offers great views. The staff willingly gave recommendations on where to go for a walk and what to see. Sense of humor of the owner made our stay even more fun. So, I would like to thank him for our excellent staying in Como.

Review 6：The owner familiy is very friendly and helpful. Great views. There is a good restaurant nearby (it's the red house 200m down the road). Thanks to the hotel's very efficient shuttle service to the cable car, it's only a short trip into Como.

Review 7：The hotel was quite cut off, very few restaurants and bars open nearby (we were slightly out of season so that may be why. Also slightly disappointed that the swimming pool was shut- but again I think this was due to going slightly out of season.

Review 8：Stunning views over the lake. The staff were great, willing to go out of their way to help us get to and from the funicular stop whenever suited us. Room was cosy, with everything we needed. The breakfast was great, huge selection and served in the dining room with great views.

Roberto and his son Alisandro were more than welcoming and great assistance and gave us great tip that made us stay for an extra night in the area!! Make sure to pass by Bar Alice and to eat tiramisu in the next door Ristorsnti :)

Review 11：The View ! and all the rooms were delightful, management and staff super, breakfast generous. Also getting down to the Funicular was fun, staff drove us part-way and picked us up.

Review 12：The hotel rooms are bit small, with a tiny TV. Not much to do in the hotel and nearby. One would need to go down with funicular everyday to towns and the lake.

Review 13：The hotel is up in the hills with a nice view over Lake Como. But driving up requires skills, and coming down to towns will need to take the Funicular, a bit of efforts but definitely worth it. We all enjoyed the funicular rides--going straight down with breath-taking views!

Review 14：The room is very simple and quite small. Make sure to book one oriented towards the lake. If you travel by car, your drive to the hotel will be an adventure. The way is narrow, in many places doesn't fit 2 cars.

Review 16：Really helpful staff, great service with drop-off and pick-up to/from Brunate. You can rent the jacuzzi for a 10 € pr. person including a glas of champagne while enjoying the stunning view from the hotel - doesn't get any better. Great breakfast.

Review 17：Great hotel with a wonderful view and fanstastic staff. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk (uphill via a rather tricky path) from the funicular railway (runs until midnight in the summer and 10:30pm in the off-season), but this is not a problem as you can be driven there/picked up immediately upon request (takes less than 5 minutes). Review 19：The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable after a long trip and were very attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was really great and full of variation. The shuttle bus from the hotel to the cable car (for access to como) was also incredibly useful; the hotel staff would drop us off and pick us up from the entrance which is a short drive from the hotel.

Review 20：Beautiful view from hotel to Lake Como. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast. There are also several nice places to eat in walking distance. Road from Como to hotel is narrow, but not that bad as some people wrote (and its additional adventure). For sure we will come back next summer

Review 21：Tökéletes! One of the most special places ever :) The staff was very kind and attentive, the hotel is clean, the breakfast is great and the panorama is magnificent!! The winding road upwards just added to the excitement and wonder of the area, and Lake Como is definitely a must-see! We loved everything about the accommodation, and the pizzeria nearby is also worth the visit because of the food and the kind waitresses, too :)

Review 24：Small family run hotel, great service and really friendly. Clean, quiet and away from the main town of Como. Easy to reach (5.50 euro for return on funicular adn then hotel pick you up from station). Plenty places to eat all within 3 mins of hotel.

Review 25：Roberto and his family were gratious, helpful and friendly. We would recommend anyone going to Como to stay in Brunate and, especially, this hotel. There is a 1.2 km distance from the funiculari and the hotel but Roberto or one of his family is there at a moments notice to drive you there or pick you up. The view from the pool side patio is the best we've ever seen. If you can book early make sure you get a room with a balcony overlooking Lake Como.

Review 30：Excellent everything. Very friendly staff in this family run hotel. Nothing is any trouble. The amazing terrace and pool overlook amazing views of the lake. One of the boys will happily drive you to and from the Funiculare at any time - all you need to do is call. We loved our stay in Brunate / Lake Como and highly recommend this hotel. Get a lake view room if available. There are some fantastic restaurants close by.

Review 31：Very difficult access by car. Very narrow two way road (bit dangerous). Best is to leave your car in the check in and get it in the check out. To explore the area you can either walk or get the funicular to go down to the lake Como. No air conditioning.

Review 35：Beds were not comfortable and even fell apart, lot of noise when the window is open, the swimming pool is just from plastic and the grass is also plastic. Photos are a bit betraying. Breakfast is typical for hotels. Might be good for some people but not for us. Overall we found the price too high for this kind of accommodation.

Review 49：We booked for 3 nights after previously seeing this hotel 2 years ago when passing through Brunate and were adamant that we must stay one day. Roberto and Gina made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived and could not do enough for us. We were there to hill walk and this hotel proved to be a perfect base for this. The rooms and hotel are extremely tidy and clean and the breakfast was amazing. The outside pool was a welcome relief after a long day on the hill and I am sure that we will try the hot tub on our next visit. Beautiful hotel with amazing views and wonderful owners.

Review 66：1. great view from the hotel terrace. what a life just to sit there with a drink, while the sun warms against a cool wind. 2. very friendly and helpful staff (owners). he even offered to drive us to the funicular to get down to como town at an unscheduled time for 5 instead of 10 euros. I am sure he have us a lift as a helpful gesture. 2. because the hotel is on top of the hill/mountain, driving up and down is quite a challenge. so I find the twice scheduled (am and pm) shuttles to and from the funicular very useful. 3. there is a small convenience shop, other hotels, a church and a restaurant within 50 m from the hotel. you can also walk about 100 m up a series of gradual steps to the lighthouse. the view there was also fantastic. 4. breakfast was also delicious with plentiful choices. 5. this hotel serves both as a base for sight-seeing and hiking and as a place to seek the quiet and slow pace of life. definitely, we have no regrets for choosing this hotel over one in Como town.

Review 77：The hotel is located at the end of a very small mountain road, it was very difficult to access with a bigger car. The rooms looked very old and dirty. We had a room on the third floor with young children, some window had no protection, if opened someone could fall up to 10 meters, most of the plugging system was hanging loose form the wall, very dangerous! Some tiles were missing on the wall. We had to pay almost 200€ for one night, it was wrote 40€ max. The booking score was is 8 and it should be 4 max. I spend half of the year in hotels for work, this was a very big surprise, I would absolutely not recommend this hotel, and ask booking to check on the score!

Not having been to Italy, we didn't realize the area had such narrow, winding roads up the 6.5 km hill to the hotel. It was an adventure for sure. Had we had more time, we would have felt more comfortable exploring the area, probably more on foot! However, it was a great hotel and I wish we would have had more time to enjoy it!

The Fine Print

The hotel's shuttle bus to Brunate is available from Monday until Saturday. On Sunday there is a public bus, and the hotel provides free tickets. The service should be booked upon check-in.Please note that the hot tub comes at extra charge. The outdoor pool is open from 15 May until 15 September.Taxi discounts are offered for transfer to/from the airport or train station. Such discounts should be requested at the time of booking.
