Review 1：We had to walk up very steep hill to bus stop with all our luggage as its about 100 mtrs right above hotel on checkout but that was our choice.

Review 2：It was a very peaceful spiritual hotel, waiters and staff were very helpful and tried there best as I spoke very little Italian, always helpful and at breakfast especially placed English Breakfast tea on the Breakfast buffet table on our second morning as well as scrabbled eggs. Always there to help

Review 4：we felt warm in spirit soon we entered the building. It is a very nice environment !Friendly receptionist; nice beautiful bed room. We were lucky that we came in the right time of the year. Quiet and Preiswert. We will come again.

Review 5：Beds in our room where a little hard. Some nightlights in walls stay on all night and it can be a little annoying. More variety at breakfast could have been good, like a choice of warm food.

Review 12：The staff at their dining place. My family went to the dining room past 9:00pm and did not realize that the hotel restaurant was only until 9:00p.m. There were no signage outside indicating the hours of operation of the restaurant. The restaurant was almost full when we arrived and there were many families dining at the restaurant. My family waited at the table for over 30 minutes to order. Many waiters saw us arrived but not a single one approached to inform us that the place is already closed. The least that could be expected from the restaurant staff is to inform us that the place has closed so that we could go elsewhere for dinner. The only time we learned that the restaurant was closed was from a family member who went to the reception for another purpose. In our 6-weeks of pilgrimage throughout Italy, this was the worst experience we ever had on resturants.

Review 14：Only coming down the slope from the bus terminus to check into the centre, we struggled with our suitcase n damaged it. But the cheap taxi facility available to go back to the bus terminus for 5 euros was an excellent idea

Review 18：The breakfast was mediocre and it was impossible to obtain a really hot drink from the machine in the breakfast lounge. Remember the restaurants in this location close very early about 10pm so it is impossible to buy food late at night.

Review 19：The location was very good for visiting Il Santuario di San Pio which sure is why modern day pilgrims go to San Giovanni Rotondo. To be in the presence of San Pio is an incredible spiritual and emotional experience.

Review 20：+ The mixer tap of the shower was probably broken, the water kept going from cold to hot. When informing the staff someone came to look at it said it was normal and blamed the "system", then left and did nothing. So no solution for a three day stay... + Beds a bit small (in the twin room) and too light (when sitting in the bed and trying to rest your back against the wall the bed moves away from the wall, so no sitting up in bed, and I am not a heavy person) + Wifi was not working for about 1 and a half day (the second person of the staff I asked explained this was only the case for devices connected after a certain moment). After that it worked ok, but quite slow. + All in all an ok place to stay, but no 4 star hotel experience. More like a 2/3 star experience.

Make sure to go to Monte Sant'Angelo that hosts another beautiful shrine and it a stone's throw from San Giovanni Rotondo.Great place for a pilgrimage and if you are looking to be spiritually recharged.

Review 42：The hotel is located close to Padre Pio's Sanctuarium and the hospital he built. It's mainly aimed at pilgrims and clergy, offering comfortable large rooms with air con, mosquito nets in the windows, fridge ( with two complimentary bottles of water) small tv (italian channels only) bathroom with toiletries, bidet and hairdryer. The room also comes with safe and ample wardrobe storage as well as luggage rack. There are buttons by the side of the bed that let you control the light as well as let the staff know that you don't wish to be disturbed, quite handy. Breakfast is included in the price, its typically continental with ham, cheese, bread rolls, selections of teas, coffees and juices plus cereals, yoghurts etc. The hotel also offers lunch and dinner service, the menu is on display at the reception. We enjoyed one dinner in the hotel and it was good value for money at 16€ each for three courses, including a litre bottle of wine and a litre bottle of water. In the vicinity there are several restaurants and cafés however please note we struggled to find a decent supermarket. There is one close to the hotel however it sells souvenirs and local food produce plus some toiletries but you will not find ready meals or sandwiches or fruit and vegetables there. One has to bear in mind that San Giovanni Rotondo is not an easy place to walk around as one has to climb up everywhere, including the area around the hotel. The hotel's exterior is a pleasant one, with a fountain and lots of greenery plus a small courtyard at the back with tables and chairs. The centre of San Giovanni Rotondo is located approx 1.7km away. There are buses available should you choose not to walk. Town's main bus station is located close to the hotel, we arrived on bus from Foggia (there are plenty during the day) and walked to the hotel. Just be mindful again of all the steep hills if you have plenty of luggage with you.

Review 43：Most of the staff did not speak Most employees did not speak English, or spoke very little. Most staff were not very helpful. To get to the Padre Pio Shrine, you must climb a very steep hill. This could be problematic to people with physical limitations.

Review 91：The location is good, BUT because San Giovanni Rotondo is in the mountains, the roads were either downhill or uphill. Hence, when it rains (and it was raining whole time we were there), the rain water was like river/waterfall on the roads. Prepare to wear rainboots to keep your feet dry.
