Reviews for Park Hotel Villa Carpenada
Review 1:Nothing.
Review 2:Nice setting for a really top quality hotel. Staff were attentive, friendly and very service oriented. Nothing too much trouble. At dinner I ordered a starter but my colleague did not. They still presented him some local sausage on the house so he would not be waiting for his main while I ate. A free glass of pre-dinner bubbly was a nice touch too. I'd stay again without a second thought - and will do so when I return to Belluno in February. Highly recommend this hotel.
Review 3:Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was done very nicely, enjoyable. While the bathroom was a bit cramped, we enjoyed our stay very much and would go back.
Review 4:It was a little difficult to locate the entrance to the hotel - the sat. nav. was confused by the driveway running parallel to the road.
Review 5:The staff were charming and very helpful. We tried to speak as much Italian as we could and they helped us. The location was useful for our visit to Venice and waking in the Dolomites.
Review 6:It's a bit far from Belluno city, so if you don't have a car, you have to plan to walk at least for 30 minutes to get to the restaurants, etc.
Review 7:Very friendly staff, lovely and quiet room, nice view.
Review 8:Evening meal was a bit mixed. Abit too formal for us. Delay betweeen courses. Crab starter briliant, but ravioli dish was undercooked. Room and bathroom smaller than anticipated.
Review 9:Reception staff were very helpful. The location was beautiful and also convenient for the centre of Belluno.
Review 10:Bathroom liked good but, 1) floor was tiled with wall tiles and therefore extremely slippy when wet. An old couple might have broken some bones. 2) shower head not fitted correctly so some water went down the hose.
Review 11:Location fabulous. Right away from the traffic. Room was gorgeous in an old carriage house. Air conditioning was a boon in the heat All the luxurys you'd find in a good posh hotel. Maitre d' found soya milk immediately.
Review 12:We were on a bike holiday. One of te best hotels we ever had : the kindness and the proficiency of the people ( reception and restaurant ) , the quality of the restaurant, the beautiful rooms, the breakfast... . Thank you hotel Carpenada!
Review 13:a bit difficult to find as well out of city centre
Review 14:Super dinner and breakfast .Excellent chief. Lovely breakfast, great choice of food and very helpful and friendly staff, Fabulous peaceful garden for meals out on terrace with wonderful views from room and terrace
Review 15:Shower enclosure was too small; plastic cups in the bathroom were cheap and ugly for such a beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms.
Review 16:The beautiful building, the gorgeous antique furniture, and calm and quiet rooms, perfect maintenance. The breakfast (on the terrace in good weather) was beautiful and tasted good, too. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed (every Sunday night).
Review 17:Unable to hang coat or dresses in room. Hanging space in wardrobe was only half length. Also no wall clothes hooks or pegs as you would expect in mountains - so no where to hang an outdoor coat at all!!
Review 18:Everything at the Villa Carpenada was perfect. A lovely location close to town but country setting made it quiet at night. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the restaurant served the best Italian food prepared by a gifted chef and served by two gracious and professional waiters. A class act all the way.
Review 19:Too far to walk to Belluno easily, but plenty of great places to stroll in the vicinity.
Review 20:The grounds, the rooms and the views are all spectacular. The staff was helpful and recommended some great local restaurants. A quiet, luxurious villa with all the amenities.
Review 21:We loved the drive up to the grand hotel lined with trees and opening up to a very special residence. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and the beds very comfortable, lovely grounds and building, with fabulous views. Not far from Belluno and the Dolomites.
Review 22:The only downside was there was a band playing at a bar nearby which was quite disturbing when trying to get to sleep. We couldn't see the bar, even in daylight, but the noise level was quite loud in our room (in the annexe). Unlikely to happen every night though.
Review 23:Very nice hotel...room was lovely, as were the staff and the food. Good location for exploring the Dolomites.
Review 24:The main negative was I couldnt get an internet connection in my room. I was in an annnex out the back (which I really liked) but the wireless signal there wasnt strong enough to work and the wired connection didnt work at all. I had to go to the bar area to use my computer and even there coverage was pretty poor. Dinner was expensive compared to elsewhere in Beluno and the portions small for us. The lighting and central heating control were not so good. No guest laundry available - hotel laundry rates too expensive to contemplate
Review 25:Staff were lovely. Breakfasts were great. Lovely character hotel. I would stay there again for sure if in the area. I was there for a cycling holiday and the location for this was great.
Review 26:Somewhat hard to locate - drove past the driveway twice. Wifi didn't reach the building our rooms were in. One of rooms we occupied had a dead ethernet plug, but the other worked. So we set up the laptop and shared the internet from there via a wifi hotspot. Tiny showers, and the temperature was either scalding or too cold - had to fiddle with the temperature often.
Review 27:Hotel staff were friendly and spoke good English. Restaurant in the hotel was excellent. Clean and tidy rooms with a mountain cabin feel. Good breakfast.
Review 28:nothing to say
Review 29:Wonderful location inside a park, very quiet and relaxing. Great room (n.213) and breakfast. Perfect place where to stay for a regenerating weekend.
Review 30:Internet connection was poor
Review 31:Fantastic place!
Review 32:Unconfortable pillows.
Review 33:Great Historic Building with nice view over the town, great staff, excellent breakfast.
Review 34:Very quiet and comfortable staff were nice
Review 35:The entrance to the hotel from the road downhill was not too well indicated.
Review 36:Very quiet. Hotel personel very professional. Great breakfast.
Review 37:the roads leading to hotel were narrow and scary.
Review 38:No wifi in the room.
Review 39:Very friendly and nice waiters. Fantastic breakfast. Beautiful terrace.
Review 40:The location is bit far avay from the town centre.
Review 41:Impressive estate, beautiful buiding, very nice hotel, good breakfast.
Review 42:We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were especially helpful .
Review 43:Design and location Very nice service of the staff Ambiance perfect
Review 44:Very friendly, and efficient staff. Exceptionally clean. Excellent breakfast. Overall - one of our favorite places.
Review 45:Nothing
Review 46:Easy to park the car and good bus service into town from the end of the driveway
Review 47:Loved the room, bed, restaurant Loved the location near town and hiking Loved the relaxed surroundings
Review 48:Mattresses
Review 49:Excellent staff, especially Marco and Elisa. Richard Wagner
Review 50:Staff were friendly. The staff in the dining/breakfast area were fabulous as was the dinner. Best meal and service we have had in Italy.
Review 51:resturant doesnt open until 8:30pm. bed matress and pillows hard.
Review 52:breakfast good. tower room nice and quier
Review 53:Excellent hotel with amazing facilities and location, jacuzzi in our toilet waz the highlight, had a really comfortable and pleasant stay
Review 54:Excellent value for money Spacious modern rooms Great breakfast Friendly and attentative staff
Review 55:Excellent food and service in restaurant
Review 56:Everything
Review 57:The only minor problem, the shower offered a range of complex options, but the simpler options did not function as effectively as hoped.
Review 58:The interior decor is of an excellent standard throughout. The hotel generously upgraded us to a suite, to avoid the noise from a function, and the room was very well appointed. All the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful - the Hotel Restaurant was not open, due to the function, but they booked us into a wonderful local restaurant, Al Borgo. The breakfast, with a wealth of fresh offerings, enjoyed on the terrace, was a delight; again enhanced by the friendly and interested staff. Highly recommended, and excellent value.
Review 59:Wifi was unavailable during our stay
Review 60:Fantastic views of Dolomites; glorious natural surroundings; breakfast served in the garden; comfortable and spacious room (top floor in the tower); great spot to explore the region
Review 61:The air conditioning didn't work and despite asking for it to be fixed we were advised to open the windows. However with a conference on, at each break guests seemed to gather under the window to smoke. For the price we paid, it would have been appreciated if the air conditioning worked or if windows are to be used to ensure there is a smoking area away from guest bedrooms.
Review 62:The restaurant is outstanding, the food was excellent and the waiter was attentive, very knowledgeable and made it a very pleasant evening experience.
Review 63:One minor complaint was that the room needed more lighting. The vaultedceiling did not have central lights and made some of the room too dark.
Review 64:The hotel is in a remote area of Belluno and situated on a hilltop. Itprovided a beautiful view of the Dolomiites. The room was one of two in their towers and was excellent. It was large with vaulted wood beamed ceilings. Although it was somewhat difficult to access (up an additional flight of stairs), the journey was well worth it. The bathroom was one of the largest we have encountered in Italy with a massive Jacuzzi tub (but no formal shower). The restaurant was excellent-food quality was top notch and the service was very attentive. All servers spoke English. Breakfast was very good with eggs, Italian meats, pastries, cereals, yogurt and great coffee. The check in process was efficient. We requested a room with a view and that was granted at no additional cost (this was the slow season, so such requests are unlikely when the hotel is busier).
Review 65:The city Belluno does not have much to offer. It is not a jump off place for hiking either.
Review 66:The front desk staff and the head waiter were the best pople for their jobs. Especially the head waiter who pays attention to the kind of wine we prefer and how we like our coffee. The second time he remembers.
Review 67:Tricky to find when arriving for the first time. Spa facility advertised but unavailable - still a 'work in progress' according to receptionist.
Review 68:Grand former stately home with Dolomite mountains as a backdrop. Attentive staff and well-appointed room.
Review 69:if you have a room nearby the entrance or restaurant it can be loud as people step outdoor to smoke and chat
Review 70:it's a beautiful hotel in nice surroundings an excellent restaurant
Review 71:It was so hot outside that a swimming pool would be preferable, but this was known upfront
Review 72:The staff was very friendly and gave perfect suggestions for visiting prosecco brands in the area as well as restaurants in Belluno
Review 73:Should be set in beautiful gardens but they dont seem to make much effort in that direction. There are stunning views that are unseen because they do not keep the trees pruned. There is nowhere to sit and relax in the sun!.
Review 74:Nice friendly staff who went out of there way to be helpful. Good breakfast.
Review 75:Air con had to be controlled from reception and it was too hot.
Review 76:The service
Review 77:No air conditioner
Review 78:nothing
Review 79:The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions to hiking. The breakfast was wonderful. The hotel was charming!
Review 80:Above all excellent hotel
Review 81:Better lights in the bedroom would be useful.
Review 82:The server in their restaurant named Marco was exceptional. Great breakfast.
Review 83:The reception staff was incredibly kind. And the waiter, Called Marco, was the restaurant soul.
Review 84:the room, the shower, the ambience
Review 85:Wifi signal wasn't strong in the annex but they provided me with a cable.
Review 86:Splendid room, all the comfort needed.
Review 87:Very luxurious, in a great location close to beautiful mountains and a lovely old town.
