Reviews for Podere Chiaromonte

Review 1:Very hospitality owners, delicious breakfast (both sweet and Intercontinetal brekfast). Apratament clean and comfortable with a terrace and a beautiful view of the hills. Peace and quiet, the perfect place to relax.

Review 2:It's a bit difficult to find, however we got an email explaining the route to the place.

Review 3:Really friendly people and amazing pasta!! The breakfast was also really nice

Review 4:Air conditioner didn't work in our room. Pool was not so clean: many dead bees & flies floating. Although it was not so big problem.

Review 5:The view from the Hotel is amazing. Pure-Relaxation. The room is nicely decorated.

Review 6:This property has an relaxing atmosphere, clean, quiet, great view, friendly staff and a super pool for the kids and to cool off the warm temperatures. Highly recommended for children who benefit from a calming atmosphere.

Review 7:As others have mentioned the roadway to the property is extremely rough and we did worry about the underside of our hire car. Fine if you've got a 4 WD though.

Review 8:The actual location is delightful, overlooking the beautiful Tuscan countryside. It is excellently situated for Pisa and Florence and other interesting towns. This gives the opportunity to drive through stunning landscapes. The apartment and was finished to a very high spec. Made to feel very welcome by the family.

Review 9:There is nothing to dislike about this stay

Review 10:Everything! From the warm welcome by Alberto to the fantastic breakfast, the great swimming, the airconditioned mountain view room, the sun-shaded parking places,... It is located at the end of a gravel road offering all the quite you could wish for.

Review 11:Beautiful location, quiet, everything was very clean, the whole property had been developed to a high standard. Alberto, Mauro and family provided outstanding service. The breakfasts were excellent, especially the cakes. A real find, would definitely go again.

Review 12:We had excellent weather during our stay of one week in early June. If this had not been so, then a communal lounge would be usefull. That said, our room was a good size and had 2 comfortable chairs if we needed them.

Review 13:The location, the view from the terrace, the quality of everything to do with the building and the very friendly and helpfull owners.

Review 14:That we stayed just for one day!

Review 15:The staff are amazing family we had a great chat with during breakfast. The location is a bit hard to find and right after you pass the yard of the weird neighbour you will arrive in a fantastic house with a beautiful garden around it. The room was prepared with a lot of attention and love and we felt truly special. The breakfast was delicious and we are looking forward to going back! :)

Review 16:the road to get there is a single track. If you find another car coming the other way it might be a trouble

Review 17:breakfast, comfort, silence, view,cleanliness

Review 18:The place is a little out of the way to find but Mauro did send an extensive email to describe how to get there which was absolutely necessary.

Review 19:We booked the apartment which had a full kitchen and all amenities that go with it and fantastic view from everywhere. The breakfasts were great and the hosts very helpful but left you alone to self cater if you wanted.

Review 20:Nothing!

Review 21:- Breakfast was good. Better than other Italian hotels or country houses - Friendly and helpful owners - Large rooms and bathrooms (including refrigerator) - Geat view from our room and the pool - The swimmingpool is a great place to relax - Dinner (by appointment) was great

Review 22:we did not manage to find the hotel for an hour despite the navigation, the private road to the hotel is in very bad condition

Review 23:A cosy and nice hotel, cool rooms (even without the aircondition on) with beautiful view, perfect silence, nice breakfast on the terrace

Review 24:Beautiful breakfast on the terrace. Food and the food were great

Review 25:Owners are nice and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The view is very nice. Grate pool.

Review 27:Perfect location, breakfasts, view, pool.

Review 28:Small Agriturismo with high standards.

Review 29:Small bathroom Place is hard to reach, tou have to take a dirtroad, and there are no lights at night.

Review 30:Great pool

Review 31:Nothing

Review 32:Amazing and peacefull place. The accomodation and the breakfast was perfect. We can recommand to everyone

Review 33:Superb location , great service ,

Review 34:Great stay, very relaxing. Road to the house can be interesting, but just keep going on:) It's worth it.

Review 35:This place has it all. Location; staff; surrounds; decor; facilities. All excellent. I can't wait to return some day.

Review 36:The staff were courteous and polite. The breakfast was fantastic, and the bedrooms were very comfortable.

Review 37:The only SMALL dislike was the fact the the pool had flies landing in it, and they had no net to get rid of them. They were gone by the next day (pool crawler at night), but it really put us off swimming.

Review 38:Room was really lovely: clean and comfortable, with a fantastic view down the valley. Lovely breakfast, and really helpful pleasant staff, who went out of their way to make us comfortable. Really beautiful place to stay - we didn't hire a car, and managed fine by getting a taxi from Pontedera. We ate at night in the nearby village. Loved our stay there, will recommend to our friends!

Review 39:The panoramic view was fantastic whether from the room or the terrace. The accommodation is lovely and well furnished the bed was very comfortable. The owners and staff could not do enough for you. Breakfast catered for all tastes. The wine is pressed from there own vineyard delicious and cheap. My wife and I only stayed for two nights wished we had stayed for a week or more as it was the most relaxing place to stay.

Review 40:The breakfast was delicious with a nice variety of options which included at least one homemade baked good along with fruit, yogurt and frittata. The family that runs it are very friendly and helpful. It is in a beautiful and relaxing setting.

Review 41:The setting is beautiful, the breakfasts were fantastic! Always some sort of handmade goody to make you're mouth water! The staff were pleasant and accommodating. Property was a little challenging to find initially but perfectly located for adventuring to different parts of Tuscany. It's very quiet and peaceful. We would highly recommend it overall.

Review 42:There is no restaurant in the hotel so be prepared to drive to the village nearby or take some food with you. The kitchenette is well equipped so if you don't mind cooking on your holiday, go for it. We did and enjoyed a lot.

Review 43:A lovely place on the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Nice, spacious room, good pool, tasty breakfast. Would have loved to stay longer, will certainly visit Podere Chiaromonte again.

Review 44:We weren't there long enough!

Review 45:Well, we've (my girlfriend and I) read some reports that were nottoo complimentary about Podera Chiaromonte (do a google and you willread them). Our report is that the Hotel was everything we could have wanted and more. We had 8 days in Tuscany and it was amazing! Mauro and his mother and father run the hotel very well. The rooms are very clean. The location was amazing! The directions emailed were spot on - but we would add in, opposite the Bank in Forcoli is a wall with a figurine - this is where you turn right. Forcoli is a friendly town. The restaurants were great - but for us the take away Pizzeria was the best (as well as very cost effective considering the quality of their pizzas!) we had a favourite Gelato as well (Antica I think was the name). But getting back to the hotel, clean swimming pool - we spent a couple of days by the pool relaxing. And it was amazing. No other words can really do the place justice. My girlfriend and I both agreed, you could head to a named hotel brand - but we doubt you'd get the high level of service that Mauro and his parents provided. The breakfast was 5/5 Italian continental. Mauro makes a mean cappuccino. Would Josie and I return? Yep we would. We loved Tuscany and we loved Podera Chiaromonte. Exceptional. 5/5.

Review 46:Location ,rooms breakfast and host made for a perfect Tuscan vacation. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking picturesque rolling hillside and pool was fantastic. We will return.

Review 47:Exceptional staff, fantastic view over the Toscana valley, located just ouside a small village on the hill, surrounded by natural forests and vineyards. You can taste some local wine from the owner. Only 5 rooms in the hotel makes it excellent place to relax and get away from daily busy life. Swimming pool is available. 1 hour drive from the sea. Thanks, and would love to come back again.

Review 48:Would be good to advertise the fact that you can have dinner if youorder it in advance

Review 49:Very helpful owners Modern and clean furnished rooms Lovely poolBeautiful views Fantastic fresh food for breakfast Quiet and effectiveair conditioning

Review 50:Wifi not everywhere in the room, but there was a cable connection.

Review 51:Everything! Spacious room, friendly host, nice view, clean, comfortable, delicious breakfast with homemade and local specialties.

Review 52:nothing

Review 53:big room with really comfy bed. nice view. feel of being isolated from city for couple days. some villages around for dinner ( pizzeria in focoli must try)

Review 54:Clean, cozy, clean, stylish place. Good breakfast with a view to beautiful surroundings. Very kind owner. Road to there through San Gimignano, Voltera is very scenic. Nice place, many thanks!

Review 55:Everything was great! Beautiful views over the tuscan hills, verytasteful and new interieur, delicious breakfast! Great way to relaxafter an exhausting day of sightseeing. Nice pizzeria in town!

Review 56:Podere Chiaromonte is a gorgeous farmhouse on the top hill looking over the towns, countryside nearby. A 35-40 minutes drive to Pisa Airport meant a lot to us without rushing to get up too earlier in the morning. Sunset was amazing in particular and I think it is a real gem hiding in Tuscany. We were very welcomed by the owner at the reception and were given a lovely Tuscany style room to stay in. Room was spacious, clean, I loved every details inside. (There is kettle if you fancy a cup of tea or coffee-superb for British-lol . There are many international channels on TV-bonus) Bed was very comfortable, shower was great too. After a long day drive, it’s time to chill out. In the evening I went out to take some photos in the garden and near the swimming pool. I bet in the summer, it is even better place to enjoy the countryside, the views and the swimming pool. The breakfast looked lovely and the owner and his son( I guess) insist we should not worry about driving and have breakfast before checking out. It was our first time drive in Italy and we felt very sorry that we could not stay longer . Great hospitality. Highly recommended to Tuscany lovers, it is a great place to start or finish point of your Tuscany holidays. We love to return~

Review 57:I enjoyed my staying in Podere Chiaromonte very much. The bathroom looked extremely clean and fresh. The location is good, very quite and at the same time is close to the attractions

Review 58:We loved the country setting in Tuscany! It is a nice respite after a hectic day in Florence or Pisa. The apartment was adorable and had all the necessities. Husband fell in love with their coffee, and I was smitten with the fresh choices at breakfast! This is family run, and they make you feel incredibly welcome!

Review 59:What a fabulous place to stay!! The people were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. This is a place we will return to in the future.

Review 60:Forcoli is the nearest village but we found only one pizzeria. You needto drive to villages like Palaia and Bientina to find a choice ofrestaurants and pizzerias where to eat.

Review 61:We have just arrived home from our holiday at Podere Chiaromonte inTuscany :( The host, Mauro, is very helpful, speaks English and made usvery welcome. We booked the junior suite which is quite cosy andcomfortable and equipped with fridge and kettle as well. The areaaround is very quiet and quite secluded, but Mauro gave us the gps co-ordinates and we arrived at the doorstep without problems. The place isalso within easy reach of Pisa Airport and places like Firenze andLucca, and is a good base to reach most of Tuscany. Breakfast is wellpresented and the home made items such as the egg 'frittata'and cakes are delicious. Looking forward to visit again in the futureduring the summer.

Review 62:Excellent location, nice staff, Mauro and his team creates perfect breakfasts and coffes. Bright, well furnitured rooms with nice view, cosy pool.

Review 63:Nothing.

Review 64:Lovely. Very relaxing, beautiful views. Highly recommended

Review 65:difficult to find, but that has its advantages also

Review 66:excellent service great location best in the region extremely relaxed and quite

Review 67:we had room on the ground floor and it has smell of oldness poor breakfast like 3 star hotel

Review 68:Nature Very kind staff

Review 69:A bit off the beaten path.

Review 70:Very quiet. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
