Reviews for Hotel Delfina

Review 1:Rather sad view from the window

Review 2:Very friendly staff Super location Big parking nearby Cosy and very clean room

Review 3:Parcheggio insufficiente

Review 4:Tranquillita

Review 5:No internet which was a deal-breaker for me - I moved out after 1 day; No TV - not good.

Review 6:Easy going and good value for the money. Very friendly staff

Review 7:If you prefer breakfast with cheese olive etc the breakfast is not for you

Review 8:The staff was friendly and kind eventhough his little english. They were helpful. The place is peaceful

Review 9:My wife and I stayed at the Delfina for two nights to attend my nephewswedding in Artimino. We tried in vain to get a taxi to the venue. Thelady on the reception desk took us there in her car and we were verythankful to her for this.

Review 10:The breakfast is quite poor. If you like sweets for it you will find it but if you prefer something salty the only offer is cheese and hardly eatable sausage. Room where it is served is small so you can expect some crowd. For coffee or milk you have to wait the receptionist to serve you (a coffee machine would make it much easier). At the end, all of this can be accepted for a couple of days stay but what cannot is what happened during our stay. More than one hour before official breakfast ending things were started to miss: first no clean plates, than no more bread, after that no coffee and finally no tea!!! We somehow passed over it but there was a family with small children and when a lady asked how to feed the kids the only answer she got from a rude black hair receptionist girl was “Finito, breakfast is finished!” I have to mention that the other stuff was quite polite but this is when an exception spoils your stay.

Review 11:Hotel has a very popular price compering to hotels in Florens, but also to those out of it. It is located in Signa, some 15 km from Florence centre and is easily reachable by car. There is a free public parking around it with enough space but they even allowed us to park in front of the hotel door. For visiting Florens take a local train from the station that is about 1 km away from hotel. Trains run often, and for 5 euro you will get a two way ticket for 18 min ride to city centre. The rooms are rather small, but with all necessary equipment (AC and TV also). Satisfactory clean. Wi Fi working well. On the other side of the street you will find a nice restaurant where you can have a proper Italian diner for less price than in Florence.

Review 12:Quite a distance out of Florence although there is a good train service but it was a 15-20 minute walk to the station. There was a strong smell of smoke in many areas of the hotel, including some of the bedrooms

Review 13:The rooms were clean and spacious. One of the staff members went out of here way to be of assistance in giving directions. A very good breakfast. Excellent wifi.

Review 14:Didnt stay long enough !!!!!

Review 15:My stay at The Delfina was a very pleasent experience,, the staff were very helpful ,, location is about 10/15 minutes to walk from the station going up the road from the station and turning right you will find delfina about 1 mile on the left along that road ,, travel from pisa is cheap and frequent 6.5 euros as was travel to Florence,, 2.5 euros eating out is cheap and i do recommend the resturant opposite the station,, very good pizzas and always busy ,, a good sign,, hotel breakfast was what you would expect in italy and there was enough of it to get you going for the day,, my room was clean and exactly what i wanted as a single room,, all in all the hotel gave me all i wanted even the use of a umberella on the sunday of the cycling race in Florence when it rained all day ,, A God send !!!

Review 16:Staff is friendly and polite, but doesn't speak English very well.

Review 17:Excellent hotel as base to visit Florence by train (just 20 minutes and cheap). Free parking space. Comfortable and clean room. Breakfast was reasonable, nice coffee. Value for money.

Review 18:Situated half a mile from local railway station and a further 15 minute trip to Florence but not a problem if you are reasonably fit.

Review 19:For a change this hotel did deserve three star rating. Staff were friendly. accommodating and eager to please. There were supermarkets very close by and a very nice cafe called Oliviero which serves wonderful lunches. A fridge and air conditioning in the room. Room was quiet .

Review 20:The travel to Florence city center by car takes 45 minutes. Better takethe train.

Review 21:Very friendly and helpful staff. Simple and clean rooms. Good breakfast.Good base camp for exploring Tuscany.

Review 22:I stayed for 9 days and everything was OK. The hotel is calm and quiet and good located (10 min walking to a railway station from which you can get to Florence in 15 min and also to Pisa, Lucca, Siena and Ligurian Cost). The staff was friendly. My room was small, but equipped with everything I need, with a great terrace to use in common. The bed was very comfortable and rather big for a single-room. Quiet in the night. The breakfast was nice with a wide selection of simple fresh food and a good coffee. I definitely recommend it!
