Country House Fattoria San Lorenzo sells fast on our site. Fattoria San Lorenzo is a 450-hectare estate set outside Grosseto, 7.5 miles from the beach. It offers traditional Tuscan apartments, an outdoor pool and 2 restaurants.
The San Lorenzo's apartments feature terracotta floors and exposed wooden beams in the ceiling. They are located in different buildings around the estate. All are air conditioned and have a balcony and a separate seating area. Kitchenettes are fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, and fridge.
On request, a basket of continental breakfast ingredients is provided in your apartment. One of the estate's restaurants specialises in local cuisine. The other offers Bavarian beer and German dishes.
Sun loungers and parasols are provided around the pool. The grounds also include barbecue facilities and gardens. There is an on-site bicycle and car rental service.

Review 1：Our flight was delayed and therefore the reception was closed (planned) at the time our arrival at the evening. But the staff organized a very warm welcome also in their absence. Great! It was a very nice vacation for us (2 adults and 2 children (15 + 18 years old). We recommend this accommodation.
Review 2：Equipment let down by poor maintenance - cooker failed to worry remedial attention, two light not working. Location noisy at times. Probably good for adults with children but not sole travellers.

Review 5：The property was double booked and so for 2 nights we had to stay in a hotel by the sea as it was such short notice, which wasn't as nice as the apartment. The staff were so apologetic and did sort out the accommodation and recompense us with meals etc so we couldn't really complain, as in life mistakes do happen and we had a fabby holiday anyway. We had two meals in the restaurant and the staff were great, just found on one night the meat dishes were very salty but we didn't know if they were supposed to be like that as the bread has no salt in Tuscany?
Review 6：Staff were very friendly and kind. The apartment was perfect and the pools gorgeous - great place for touring the area. Staff in the restaurant were very kind too and was a good place to meet other families, from all over Europe. Great wifi connection which suited our teenage girls. It was all so perfect, I felt very spoilt..

APARTMENT WAS VERY DATED AND EXTREMELY UNCLEAN, STILL DRIED FOOD ON FRIDGE HANDLE AND COBWEBS AND LITTLE INSECTS IN CORNERS OF CEILING! FACILITES FOR COOKING ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT SUFFICIENT IF STAYING FOR MORE THAN A COUPLE OF DAYS, STAFF MEMBER ON RECEPTION WAS VERY UNHELPFUL AND OFFERED NO APOLOGY AFTER WE ADVISED HIM OF OUR PROBLEMS WITH THE ROOM WHEN CHECKING OUT

The area is calm surrounded by greenery but it is 5 min by car from a supermarket and shopping centre. We had a perfect stay with friends excellent value for money!

Review 18：The grounds of this accommodation are so well kept and beautiful! There is a very large swimming pool! The manager, Zacco, was very welcoming and helpful. We had an upstairs 2 bedroom apartment in a lovely renovated farm house. It was decorated very nice. Very clean and spacious. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. It was so quiet and relaxing. The location is about 10 minute drive out of Grosseto so We also paid for half board which included a 3 course meal in their restaurant with delicious food! And a large basket of breakfast delivered to our room with pastries, panini, and hot coffee :) we highly recommend this accommodation to future travellers of Tuscany.

It has a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff are exceptionally helpful. We had a problem with our car hire and they went above and beyond what would be expected to help us. We had a super meal of local delicacies in the restaurant on our last night. The wifi signal was not great which disgruntled our teenage boys a bit but this would not be a problem for most. Review 24：Low service level. Our apartment no 306 was 800m away from main building. Only twice a week it was cleaned. We had to ask for toilet paper at the reception. Often Wifi didn't work properly. Imagine this Fattoria is located in Italy-Toscany and the Fattoria could not provide us with Italian cafe - what we got was "Café Americano"!!! And even the delivered breakfast was not included in the high base price. So for espresso cafe we had to take the car and drive to tho shopping centre or to Grosseto .... Facilities outside were cleaned in a superficial way only after one week and the day we left. Overall the price is much to high (or value much too low) compared to services delivered and quality of facilities. However place is ok if you stay max 3 nights.

The facilities were great as we were on a cycling holiday for our rest day, fantastic large swimming pool, bbq area and large apartment with 3bed rooms and kitchen. Friendly staff and shops (food and town centre) a 5min cycle, how ever i won't want to walk on that road as there's no path and the cars are travelling fast.

Review 46：We stayed here for a few days at the end of our holiday travelling around Italy. We had such a wonderful time here we wished we had stayed longer. We stayed in a superior one bedroom apartment although considering it was all on 1 floor and how spacious it was it resembled more of a villa. The resort is comprised of 3 complexes, as it was the start of the season we were in the middle complex. The pool was very well maintained as were the grounds. For the superior apartment we only paid £70 a night which we thought was considerably reasonable given the amounts we had been paying elsewhere. For anyone wanting a relaxing few days away we would definately recommend Fattoria San Lorenzo.
Review 47：We stayed for a weekend and it was a very pleasant experience. Our apartment was larger than expected (intended for 6 and there were just 2 of us). Our dog was more than welcomed by the helpful staff that gave us precious hints as to excellent restaurants in the area.

Review 57：There is such a big difference between a pleasant outside environment(swimmingpool, bbq...) and the inside of the apartment. We went in Apriland it was very humide inside with the company of a rat ! On top of itthere was no hot water in the shower on the 1st day and the people werenot nice at all. Once the problem fixed, we discover with surprise thatyou can only shower for 5 minutes after that the water is cold. That wasexplained to us as something "normal" ! Who would have knownthat such a place is saving money on their clients by forcing them tohave a 5 minutes shower ?... Clean place, good bed and hot shower arethe minimum requirements. I would not recommend this place.

Review 59：The staff was incredibly helpful during our staff making special accommodations for us pertaining to internet use. They also did a great job with recommending places to visit and restaurants to enjoy.
Review 60：The information we got on arrival was rather poor i.e. about where to dispose of the garbage! We were told that this was not at hotel, but no information about the apartment itself, what was inside or what we had to buy! On the website the place looks absoutely gorgeous, also the pool area! But the place has probably been wonderful when new but really needs "updating". It didtn't really match the photos and we were rather disappointed. The apartment was very dark and the grass outside constantly wet (even tho' it didtn't rain). So sitting outside wasn't very tempting unfortunately. This was very disappointing especially since the weather in October was both sunny and warm and this was one of the reasons why we booked an apartment rather than a hotel. We also trired the restaurant on the premises but unfortunately it didn't live up to the good reviews either. All in all we had a nice stay but were disappointed both of the Fattoria and the restaurant because we had quite high expectations since they were given such high scores on many websites!
Review 61：The Fattoria was in a quiet spot close to Grosseto and also close to the wonderful Nature Reserve of Alberese which also had a lovely beach! The area around the pool was bright and nice, even tho' the pool itself had seen better days. We thought it was nicer sitting there rather than outside our apartment. A big Conad shop was very close.
Review 62：My only complaint is that you could hear the neighbours from the other apartments. Unfortunately I am a light sleeper and that was a bit of a bother for me.
Review 63：We stayed at the Fattoria San Lorenzo at the end of September 2012. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very helpful lady at reception. The check in two only few minutes and we were provided with a wealth of good and useful information regarding the Hotel and the area. We were given a 2 bedroom apartment instead of the 1 bedroom apartment we booked which was nice of them. The apartment is within a nicely converted old stable block which is not far from the Reception but provides a good degree of privacy. It is surrounded by fields, there is a nice pool, private verandas and BBQ available for the guests. The whole area looked vey nice, well appointed and the Staff were just great.
Review 64：Hard for us to get to because we we're arriving from Rome by train.Though the staff we're extremely helpful on getting us to and from thetrain station. The location was amazing, the hotel was a little bit ofluxury in the middle of no where. We will definitely recommend toeveryone and will be returning our selves, hopefully next year.

Unfortunately it was a bitcold to enjoy the outdoor pool, but the grounds were beautiful and madeus feel like we were staying on our own private plantation.
