Reviews for Masseria Baroni Nuovi
Review 1:Room not totally clean (eg dust/dirt on lamps, sockets ); old worn fittings in shower room & awful shower: ran scalding hot then cold; head would not stay in position; broken, rusty trim outside tray; very poor lightining (but this was sorted); neglected garden.
Review 2:Convenience for Brindisi airport; on site restaurant (not lunch) in the old house; helpful staff; courtyard and garden (but see other comments); comfy bed.
Review 3:We were three couples visiting southern Italy. We booked 3 doubles when 2 were available and the 3rd was in a 2 bedroom suite. Booking.com prevented them from making any accommodation in the fee for a very expensive 2 bedroom suite (249 Eu.) when we needed only the one bedroom. The doubles were priced fairly.
Review 4:The setting in a former winery,, the landscaping, the furnishings, the beautiful pool, the outstanding food and service, .
Review 5:The masseria is a surprise treat , everything was nice, i dont know how will it be in winter but definitely during our stay was beautiful, breakfast was good, friendly staff , clean room and very good food in the restaurant, not to mention the romantic ambiance in the evening.
Review 6:Staff fantastic especially Claudia and the owner very welcoming, fanatic size apartment's, good base to explore from knowing you can come back in the evening to a nice meal as they also have there own restaurant its a set meal but only cost 30 euro which is brilliant , would recommend this place to stay
Review 7:Fantastic surprise! A short travel outside Brindisi, and we wondered what we would meet. The hotel was an oasis, nice surroundings, nice rooms, nice personnel....and the dinner was something like "the best dinner in Italy"!
Review 8:Dinner served much later than hoped, but was for opening evening so may be different on other days.
Review 9:Staff very accommodating and pleasant. Swimming pool very lovely & rooms exceptional.
Review 10:The room was a little dark, as the window was situated high up on the wall.
Review 11:The food was fantastic, we were served several good dishes. The room was in an old country house and very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a good swimming pool.
Review 12:That we didnt get to sample the food! I'm sure it was delicious
Review 13:Cycling in the olive groves and vineyards, spacious, authentic, jasmine everywhere, birds
Review 14:Service was phenominal and the breakfast was fresh and plentiful. I enjoyed to grounds, the cleanliness and the overall experience. Great staff that are friendly and care about your stay! I would stay here again...good for solo business as well as vacation with your spouse.
Review 15:Nothing - it was all lovely .
Review 16:This is a beautiful place to stay at . The room was huge , as was the bed , and very comfortable . The young receptionist took us around the estate and showed us lemon , orange and pepper trees . They didn't do an evening meal as it was Sunday and they had prepared an authentic Italian Sunday lunch . We went into the nearby mediaeval town of Mesagne and ate there .
Review 17:that we stayed only one night.
Review 18:A wonderful arranged place with many opportunities to relax, swimming pool, ball field, the smell of Mediterranean.Clean, friendly staff and owner.Very good food in the restaurant.
Review 19:Perhaps better coffee at breakfast ..but only a minor point !
Review 20:Room, location , food , staff and grounds of hotel all great . We had driven across France and Italy to spend 4 nights here . Just what we wanted .....place to relax and well located to drive out to different places . Also bought 6 bottles of their Primitivo wine ...excellent after having with one of our meals in the restaurant .
Review 21:Excellent staff, very helpful and accommodating. Food serve at the dinning room was very comforting, tasty made with organic local products grown in their premises .Try their olive oils and wines. Looking forward in coming back soon.
Review 22:We didn't use the pool, but it was strange they placed a note in the room saying you couldn't use room towels at the pool and had to pay extra for a pool towel. Not sure if they really do charge for it - hopefully not. Otherwise no complaints.
Review 23:Very friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing location - the pool and grounds are beautiful. Too bad it was too cold to use the pool.
Review 24:Bathroom a little jaded, shower poor.
Review 25:Being able to share the two bedroom suite with friends made our stay all the more enjoyable, a large outside terrace to relax in the sun during the day and a very comfortable lounge for after dinner. We ate in the resaurant, excellent food, service and house wine only 9 euros a bottle.
Review 26:The location can be reached only by car and the roads and countryside in the surroundings are a bit sad.
Review 27:The owner-family was very welcoming when we arrived at midnight (after having informed them before). The buildings and the courtyard are very nice. Restaurant and their own wine were excellent (need to book in advance), with very good local food.
Review 28:The first night we had kind of insects in the bed sheets or in the room. We had bites on our legs. They changed the sheets but we had the whole week bites on our body. Where the come from, no idea but very annoying.
Review 29:Very nice location in the nature. Warm welcome, tasty breakfast. We got a nice upgrade to a duplex room. Amazing good room. Nice swimming pool and green area.
Review 30:The money is worth for the room, however some of them might be a bit tight (number 10).
Review 31:The Masseria Baroni Nuovi is an excellent place to chill out and relax. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful anytime and for everything. The surroundings are amazing and if you go with young children you can walk through vineyards, fruit trees and a amazing garden, where you can enjoy the nice swimming pool or taste fresh fruit from the trees.
Review 32:All very good. Only sorry we had to leave so early in the morning to catch our plane. Staff were kind enough to provide us with a packed breakfast. no hesitation in recommending Masseria Baroni Nuovi.
Review 33:We went Into Brindisi for food on the first night which was a mistake . On another night we went Into Mesagne which was lovely .
Review 34:The accommodation , food and pool were all excellent . We did not find the location especially interesting but it was fine for a few nights . It is luxurious and very special . Breakfast was lovely and the evening meal exceptional .
Review 35:Not working A/C Ants in the room Bathroom in need of repairs Attitude of receptionist when requesting repairs
Review 36:Location Breakfast Working staff Amenities Grounds Parking
Review 37:230 eur per night for a 19 century old and very dirty rooms ? smell from kanalization, all rooms full of insects - ants (emmets) broun little = everywhere !!!
Review 38:Nothing
Review 39:This was our first overbite after an international flight. Near airport in Brindisi. Nice dinner, and efficient airport pickup.
Review 40:Not easy to get refreshments in the middle of the day.
Review 41:Calm environment, lovely rooms, good restaurant
Review 42:We came there for one night (the day we got married) and it was magical. The eating area outside and the property are just beautiful.
Review 43:Nothing.
Review 44:A small oasis in the middle of nothing.Beautiful, spacious rooms, great atmosphere, nice common area, absolutely excellent breakfast!
Review 45:A bit difficult to find.
Review 46:Ambiance, food (including suppers), swimming pool, gardens
Review 47:The set menu for dinner was disappointing and we had an infestation of flying ants in our bathroom
Review 48:Very welcoming staff and kind owner of the masseria. Amazing family suite in room 14. Huge rooms, high ceilings and very clean.
Review 49:Difficult to find, food not so good in a very competitive environment.
Review 50:General ambience, rural setting. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 51:free wifi was slow and not stable.
Review 52:large and beautiful rooms
Review 53:Mattress too firm
Review 54:Location, Location, Location
Review 55:Did nit have Tea and coffee in the room.
Review 56:We liked everything! The kindness and friendliness of the stuff. The breakfast, the wines and lovely pets (especially the Dog :) Thank you!
Review 57:Everything was perfect !
Review 58:The breakfast is with a wide variety of dishes. Personnel with an excellent Customer care.
Review 59:position difficult to find without a good navigation system
Review 60:staff, quietness, food, swimming pool, garden
Review 61:The wifi didn't work in the room. So I had to go and sit in the lovely seating area outside.
Review 62:Just about everything.
Review 63:The noise of cars when you are at the swimming pool
Review 64:OMG - this place loomed out of the rainy night like a beacon of comfort. A beautifully restored Villa with pool, walled garden and citrus grove, ivy clad walls, in the country with only bird calls to wake you. Beautiful breakfast, best in Italy (although not cooked), charming ambience - recommend for everyone from honeymooners to older active couples - this is a major find, don't tell too many people!
Review 65:Bed was hard. room was small. Might be a little difficult to find. Must drive a short distance for restaurants.
Review 66:Sweet farm residence in a lovely setting. Staff were very helpful. Wine made on site was excellent. Location was perfect for exploring.
Review 67:Disliked TV on upper level, lounge layout did not have comfortable furniture, needs more furniture! We paid for a junior suite at 1000 Euro, but the room we had felt like the worst suite, as the room and patio never got any sunshine due to the large tree's, which would be great in the heat of summer perhaps! Did not rate the area much and found it hard to find a nice place to eat. All in all loved our stay, but this is a very expensive B&B!
Review 68:Liked quiet area, helpful friendly staff and a comfortable bed. Liked breakfast, but would have liked a change of options through the week.
Review 69:It is really a lovely place in the middle of the olive trees, not far from the airport, a very quiet place, I would recommend it also in low season (but of course, the swimming pool is not available!). Use GPS to get there.
Review 70:limited evening menu, no tea/coffee facilities in room, having to go downstairs to the bathroom.
Review 71:friendly staff, room size, pool, breakfast choice.
Review 72:I love this place! It is like a castle, fortified countryhouse, very romantic, big rooms, good bathrooms, lots of cats to keep our boy busy, great food, lovely breakfast buffet, wonderful swimming pool in a huge park, easy to reach from the airport of Brindisi, away from it all.
Review 73:The warm water was smelling very unhealthy! Our complaint has been ignored by the chief The shower was mouldy and the fittings were dirty! You need your own towel! Its forbitten to take the room towel outside( 5 euro for rent beach towel per person)
Review 74:Near to the best Beach , Torre guacetto!
Review 75:Evening meal quite expensive.
Review 76:The hotel is secluded, relaxing and quiet and has great facilities. Breakfast is included in price with a great selection of food. Evening meal excellent but extra.
Review 77:The buildings are old and so the rooms are a little quirky. For example is our room the shower was not always hot. However, this did not bother us too much as overall it was great.
Review 78:Very friendly staff and fabulous rooms. The restaurant is also good. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere.
Review 79:The perfect place to stay while travelling in Puglia. Nicely renovated farm house, romantic place close to Brindisi. Quiet and restfull place. Good breakfast. Restaurant was closed on night we stayed there but we drived car to the nearest place (cca 10 mins) where we got excellent food base don recommendation of hotel staff. I would really recommend this hotel.
Review 80:Cannot think of anything we did not like.
Review 81:Very helpful, friendly staff. Large room; beautiful setting. Excellent breakfast. Good dinner with wines and oils made on sight. Very quiet.
Review 82:I. Love. This. Place. I came for a mixed business and liesure trip, and had just finished a long and hectic vacation in Nepal trekking to Mount Everest. Spending the weekend relaxing in the masseria seemed like a great idea. I was simply amazed by my experience here - the scents of the flowers, the chirping of crickets and cheaping of birds were pleasantly overwhelming. Running through the olive grove, sitting poolside while reading page after page of books, eating like a king and sleeping like an emperor were just a few of my positive experiences. I can truly say this was one of the most enjoyable weekends I have had in a very long time
Review 83:The private gate that only hotel guests have access to did not seem to close properly when using the hotel key. This was very minor.
Review 84:The staff was incredibly helpful. They suggested retaurants in 2 different cities that we were travelling to and the food was AMAZING. They also allowed us to check in early.
Review 85:Great hotel, best staff, nice experience. Brindisi is not bad, we had anice stroll, but I wouldn't stay in the city. To be in a masseria was agreat option and Baroni Nuovi is very close to Torre Guaceto, a parkwith the best beaches around.
Review 86:Very pleasant, quiet and almost serene. I was like spending the time in a monastery garden (but no monks). Charming rooms, clean. Beautiful loggia facing the inner yard where breakfast was served. Pool. The restaurant of the masseria was closed both nights we spent there but that is perhaps understandable in the beginning of October. Instead he owner gave us very good recommendations of restaurants in nearby Messagne. (4 km)
Review 87:The amount of flies by the pool. No towels for the pool area and the fact that it wasn't heated.
Review 88:We stayed in the suite and it was massive. Most probably too large but very good. All olive oil and wine at dinner was produced by the Masseria themselves.
Review 89:Arriving at the Masseria overwhelmed us as it was even more beautiful than shown on the website in every way. After a very warm welcome late at night, the friendly waiters stayed to offer us drinks. We stayed in the stunning two-bedroom suite which was a huge apartment with a 100 foot terrace. The beds and furnishings were superb of such high quality and extremely clean. The grounds are stunning with well-kept garden, beautiful plants and the most relaxing of swimming pools. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet of fresh fruit, juices, pastries, pies, savouries, cereals, anything you might want and in the beautiful dining room. Sadly, we were unable to sample the amazing dinner menu as we were only there for one night, but I am determined to return. Grazie mille e arrivederci!
Review 90:There is little not to like except if you are expecting hotel service, there is no facility for lunch and the evening meal is huge and a setprice so you can't just have a small meal. Towels for the pool are notprovided and there are no safes either in the room or at reception.
Review 91:A beautiful and peaceful place to rest. The staff are extremely friendlyand go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. TheJunior Suite was clean, spacious and comfortable.
Review 92:There is not much to dislike. We stayed for 9 nights, with most other visitors staying 2 to 3, nights, so striking up conversations with other (non English speaking) guests was not always easy, but a worthwhile challenge. The location is why I scored it "fair".
Review 93:The Masseria Baroni Nouvi Hotel is an "oasis" in a sea of agricultural land, it is quite remote and the nearest town is approx 10km away. This a a working farm, producing olive oil and wine, with 13 rooms.Breakfast and Dinner are excellent, partcularly dinner, with the chief using local produce. There is not a pool bar, or snack facilities, so this bit is a little "self catering". A car is essential and we found it ideal as a centre to take explority trips to Lecce, Gallipoli, Ostuna etc. If you are looking for a quiet away from it all type of holiday this will make an excellent choice of location.
Review 94:10 min drive from Brindisi Airport but in a country side. Very quiet. Nice pool (unfortunately to cold to use it). Perfect to start our trip in the Puglia.
Review 95:We appreciated the authenticity of the location as well as the respect for the guests and the local traditional food of Puglia. The whole staff was very friendly and service minded. Now that we came during the season of the artichoc, we asked the owner if he could arrange for this on the menu. The next day artichocs were one of the possibilities on the menu. And the taste was superb. We can surely recommend this masseria to everybody who likes a quiet, authentic stay, with a very good kitchen. Thanks to the entire staff ! Marcel and Gilberte , Belgium
Review 96:I'm already planning my next visit. I was in Puglia for work but managed to relax in the comfort of this wonderful place. Heaven!
Review 97:Nice and quite rural environment, close to Brindisi's airport. Rooms are ample and well furnished, staff very friendly.
Review 98:Despite our satnav sending us through the fields to get there, absolutely beautiful place, staff superb and lovely romantic setting and suite!
Review 99:Simply everything, all the facilities (gardens, courtyards, pool and restaurant) and the amazing suite; excellent cousine, very friendly staff

Review 105:Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.. The hotel and its landscape were beautiful.
Review 106:Very helpful and welcoming staff. Everyone friendly, even their cats and dog greet you on arrival. Loved the room (junior suite).
Review 107:Everything. Great staff, nice room, lovely grounds. Had a great stay.
Review 108:Location, (car essential or bike!), uncomfy bed (foam type).
Review 109:Accommodation, environment, staff, pool, food, wine, eating outside, cute dog.
Review 110:No tea or coffee facilities for the morning when waking up.
Review 111:Liked the location and all that was offered
Review 112:Peace and quiet
Review 113:Good cooking, excellent breakfast, nice pool, good room, very good value for money at the "offer" rate
Review 114:the location from the Brindisi airport, the architecture, the pool, the flowers, the cats, staff very friendly and helpfull
