Reviews for Villa Santacroce
Review 1:Poor breakfast, the staff was not enought attention to refill the food. Cheap quality food, mainly for Italian taste (dolci) and not thinking for the international requirements for breakfast. :-(
Review 2:Nice, warm, cosy place.
Review 3:A little hard to get to, thank goodness for Gps coordinates. Daniela is a fantastic host. San Giovanni overall is a very nice area with a gorgeous historic street.
Review 4:Breakefast - only for Italian maybe, no real bread, or meat, or chees. Totaly no vegetables allthought Italy's famous from tomatoes and olives.
Review 5:Quite good location, clean and quiet. Parking places on the street (free).
Review 6:Not a bad experience but it would have helped if the hotel had left baggage area and printer for printing needs of guests.
Review 7:We were allowed early check-in and place was very homey and clean.
Review 8:Clean, spacious room with large double bed, within a couple of minutes' walk of town centre yet in a quiet location. Friendly reception with good English. Extremely good value.
Review 9:Nothing unexpected. Been for 5th time here, everything as it was last time. Good rooms, comfortable bed, good rest after a long trip. Breakfast very ok, owner kind and helpful. As usual. For sure we will come back.
Review 10:We had a wonderful stay & the owner and staff were very friendly & helpful. The location was close to the historic centre of Pietrelcina but also in reasonable distance for visiting the Padre Pio Sanctuary complex. Would highly recommend this B&B especially for the very reasonable price.
Review 11:A little bit of an older facility.
Review 12:Great location- close to downtown and about a 15 minute walk to the Shrine. Try to plan you trip to include a Saturday overnight stay since there is a Sat evening Rosary at 9pm which is wonderful. Daniela was very helpful.

Review 33:Daniella is a darling hostess/proprietor. She referred us to the best Italian restaurant we have ever experienced ('Cassia'). She also had a little store with St Padre Pio religious articles that were very reasonably priced. She made fresh croissants/buns for breakfast. Our room was spacious compared to other hotels in Italy.
Review 34:Location was great both for the town (everything in easy walking distance) and the surrounding countryside...staff was very helpful....very peaceful and quiet.
Review 35:The only thing that was a bit not in line with the rest, was the size of the shower cabin. Truth is that, I am a very fat guy anyhow, my wife wich is half my size, found the cabin more than OK...
Review 36:We were already third time there, so we found everything at the same place, right like home. More, one year ago we stayed in the same room, so...you can imagine. Very friendly host(thank you Daniela), good, tasty and quite complete breakfast (remember, is Italy...). Clean and very pleasant environment. Very close to the pilgrimage places (we were there for that). And, not to forget, the picture of Padre Pio above of the bed, wich was found very interesting by our 8 months baby (and we were happy for that!!!).
Review 37:The location very close to the basilica was a plus. We were able to park our car at the front door both nights. This avoiding paying 5 euros per night in the garage. Daniella was lovely and very helpful, her breakfast cakes were really good. Our room was spotless and we had a terrace.
Review 38:Nothing. All was good!
