Check-in at 2am disturb till 3 am,only one socket either u use for TV or heater, charger.., they even knocked our doors many time
Review 2:Location is good
Review 3:I booked it online..reached there at 12 midnight...was searching for address called hotel they didn't responded I called more than 10 times....finally reached the destination.. Knocked or u can say banged door at least for half an hour..but no one opened the door..
Review 4:The room was a bit dusty.
Review 5:The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. We spent one evening around the fire in their zen garden and we had nice talks with them. The location and the set up is the best because you are away from the main street, and you have a garden in front of the rooms. The nature gives you a good vibe.
Review 6:A fair bit of hassle from the guys in khajuraho if you are a single female. Great to be able to come back to the hotel and get away from them all!
Review 7:Lovely place with a beautiful peaceful garden. Easy to get to western and eastern temples. Nice food in the restaurant too.
Review 8:1. No water supply in bathroom. 2. TV not working. 3. Beds were making horrible noise while changing side. 4. Poor appearance. 5. Photo on internet is entirely different from actual room.
Review 9:Location and attitude of staff.
Review 10:Privacy of guest is not secured as all rooms are having glass windows with loose curtain which does not hold properly. A/C are very small and having faulty location and fittings
Review 11:It is economical Hotel. Located very near to Visiting area. Staff was very cooperative
Review 12:The stay was not pleasant. The Hotel's main door gets closed in the night . You cannot go out and vice versa. There is no attendant at reception in night. The shower was not working in the bathroom. Overall my experience was very bad
Review 13:No towel or toiletries provided but OK, I always carry my own in India.
Review 14:Clean big room. Bright windows, look over garden. Dining table on my balcony. Quiet. Very accommodating staff. Perfect location for restaurants and shopping. 5 minutes easy walk to Western temples.
Review 15:The garden could be arranged to enable the guests stick around if they don't feel like going out.
Review 16:Very helpful and friendly staff and owner. Location couldn't be better
Review 17:No intercom or calling bell. To call for any service we had to shout.
Review 18:Very good location. Its proximity to the main attraction of Khajuraho makes it very beneficial. Very good Staff. Always at service.
Review 19:too kind and friendly staffs talking in your language (quite good actually) inviting you and so on and on. Some of them also try to rip you off when you ask for a rickshaw. Maybe Khajuraho in general.
Review 20:Beautiful garden with birds insects fish animals and flowers
Review 21:Ongoing work in garden.
Review 22:Friendly and generous owner, very helpful. Comfortable and clean room (room "Buddha") with 24/7 hot shower. Very good bed. Garden view. Nice Verandah for reading and working. Reliable wifi.
Review 23:They were a little unorganized, but that seems that standard in the region. They made up for it by being friendly
Review 24:The garden is nice, and the rooms are good. Good location walkable from all temples
Review 25:The bathtub in our room was a bit scary.... even to stand on. The finishings look a bit faded, but it's India and it's not at the 5 star price point.
Review 26:The gardens are amazing. Returning to this hotel after sightseeing was like a breath of fresh air from the dusty street where the touts are incessant. The bed was nice too. The food we ate from the restaurant was good, but maybe more expensive than the street. Worth it for the peaceful environment.
Review 27:No wi fi in room. Booking confirmation said room had an electric kettledrums and TV but it didn't.
Review 28:Great location for the western group of temples. Nice clean spacious room, pleasant garden.
Review 29:My room was on the third floor with a nice view of the garden but there's no phone (to reception) in the room, so had to shout over the balcony or go up and down for any requests. Otherwise, great!
Review 30:Banti and his staff made me so welcome and my stay was wonderful. I was thrilled to see a hairdryer in the bathroom (the first one I've seen on my travels in India). Food was okay and reasonably priced. Hotel is very close to the Western Temples and a short drive to the other temples. Great value for money hotel.
Review 31:Everything is OK
Review 32:Very conveniently located near the main temples and not far from the rest, this Hotel is really nice. The inner garden is really nice plce to chill and meet other travellers
Review 33:nothing
Review 34:rooms are big, named after Zen masters. I love the spotless bedcloth and smell-less washroom, which is rare among budget hotels in India. ten minutes walk to the western group temples.
Review 35:Bed was very hard.
Review 36:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Always a nice cup of tea waiting for us. Not a fancy hotel, but price was good and room was clean. Food was delicious.
Review 37:Everything was great
Review 38:Stuff is really helpful and owner is fabulous. Nice garden, specious, rooms, quite and relaxed ambience They have upgraded our room, and the owner cooked us delicious dinner..
Review 39:IT IS A CLEAN, CALM HOTEL SURROUNDED WITH NATURE AND TRANQUILITY. WE RECOMMEND THE PAKORA THAT THEY SERVE IN THE MENU. SOME OF THE WORKERS ARE CHARMING.
Review 40:the food in hotel sucks...(but Chai is fine.) The shower facility needs some improvements.
Review 41:the air conditioner and location is great. Wifi is available in lobby or room. Massage service is worth the price.
Review 42:I would clean rooms and bathrooms much better.
Review 43:The working staff is very kind, they will definitely look after you, respect you and help you whenever you may need it.
Review 44:the restaurant is more expensive than the other you can find just outside
Review 45:the hotel is in a good position, not so good
Review 46:It's simply the best place to stay, for price, warmth of service, location...
Review 47:Location of the property is good, Staff is nice and friendly. Decent value for money.
Review 48:the place doesn't look clean outside the rooms
Review 49:Great location, comfortable rooms
Review 50:Hotel owner and staff are very cooperative & courteous.
Review 51:To many bugs.
Review 52:Owner very friendly, the zen garden was beautiful, owner invited us for dinner. Really nice dinner!
Review 53:we where 1,5 month on holidays and we had stomach problems only in this place
Review 54:atmosphere, garden, nice staff
Review 55:Shared balcony with tables and chairs, garden, quietly, cheap, location, wifi
Review 56:food was sad but edible
Review 57:atmosphere
Review 58:staff was ignorant. No proper food.
Review 59:Location
Review 60:Very poor water supply. No hot water.
Review 61:Close to western temples
Review 62:The room is not corresponding to the description. Lack of toiletries, view is not corresponding to what is written.
Review 63:Breakfast, garden at ground floor
Review 64:Bed very hard and new pillows are needed urgently!
Review 65:Freindly staff, great view and value for money.
Review 66:Hotel facility is so poor that no hot water。最不喜欢的是我们一驴友要求和老板合影。他没有拒绝,但是很不真诚,想应付一般完成一件事情,- 给人感觉很不好。
Review 67:Actually I like the hotel environment and the garden.
Review 68:The room was quite dirty and seemed to have been last cleaned or renovated half a century ago.
Review 69:the garden the staff the location
Review 70:TV not working, Refrigerator was not working, Bath room light was fused, and not repaired for the whole stay. No breakfast was provided as mentioned during booking, No generator back up provided during lower cuts. No water purifier. No call buttons or telephone in the room, everytime you need to go out and shout. Food and services are very very costly........though the kitchen was closed and we need to buy food from outside. Not at all value for money......one can avail much better facilities @₹1800/night.
Review 71:Staff, location
Review 72:Food was not so tasty for its price
Review 73:Room was clean, with hot water in the bathroom Beautiful peaceful flowering garden Good location, 5-minute walk from the Western Temple Wi-Fi was available in the room and in other areas
Review 74:The owner, after offering a basic dish at dinner, almost obliged us to sit on his side for writing (helped by him) a good (and probably unfair) review of his hotel. This is inacceptable! He kept following me until the aiport insisting for the review! The wifi doesn't work at all.
Review 75:The position is good, close to the main temble. All the rest are drawbacks
Review 76:The location is very good near the western group of temples, staff is friendly and helpful, and the owner Mr. Rajesh makes everything to make a happy stay for the guests. The wifi works well on public areas.
Review 77:Owner is sometimes a bit brash. You cannot pass by without him asking if you want a fruit a tea or somerhing more! After some time we avoided him!
Review 78:Very friendly owner. Offers free chai, fruits, rhum and one free supper! Just 200m from the western temples. Over all we really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful garden with flowers and a lot of birds. There are even 4 or 5 mongoose there.
Review 79:Wi fi did not work in all areas,
Review 80:Great staff and location. Food was reasonable we were given a complimentary veg thali, fruit and waster were provided for our 6 hour taxi journey free of charge. All in all a good stay.
Review 81:Don't eat here, the food is horrible and they cook it in a place that can be hardly called kitchen. No WiFi in rooms, need to go to the reception.
Review 82:The room was nice and spacious, but make sure that you get one in the new building. The shower facilities were very good too.
Review 83:- The Wifi just work near the reception... - The shower wasn't so hot.
Review 84:- The garden is really beatifull and nice to stay there drinking a tea - Staff is helpfull and nice - It's 2 minutes walking to the main temples and 15 to the others
Review 85:A lot of "beach boys" as a hotel staff. The garden and outer part of the hotel would need some cleaning and then could look pretty good.
Review 86:Good location close to the temples
Review 87:None
Review 88:Very friendly staff in a nice and clean Hotel, well located in Khajuraho, in walking distance from the western group of temples. Lovely garden where you can relax, good hotel that I recommend for stay.
Review 89:Rock-hard bed, see-through curtains, wifi doesn't work, rooms a bit rundown, we were supposed to have satellite TV but there was no sign of a cable box and our TV didn't even work, very noisy at night because of religious/political broadcasts bleating out through a speaker on the street right outside and the family next door is up and shouting on their rooftop at 6.30 each morning. So many staff you don't know who works there and who is just hanging around and some of them are very pushy trying to get you to book massages and tours all the time, which gets very frustrating after a while
Review 90:Large rooms, very sunny, hot water, nice garden, if your room's not booked you can pay half amd keep it an extra half day if you have a late train, central location 5 mins from western temples and seconds from lots of restaurants
Review 91:The rooms are nice and clean. There is a wonderful garden where you can relax. It is located 5 minutes walking from the Khajuraho temples. It is the perfect place for backpackers.
Review 92:Hotel surprised me with a pick-up which I didnt arrange. Surprise wasalso though that the staff tried to sell me tours for the next day thewhole duration. And a even bigger surprise was that the tuktuk driverasked me for 150 rupees when arriving! First I think it's very wrongto provide something without asking and then charge for it afterwards.Second the prices, which after I got upset was quickly lowered to 100,was way too high. For the rest the staff was friendly by the way
Review 93:Nice interior
Review 94:The other staff is constantly trying to sell anything to you (rikshaw, massage, tour guide, excursion, entrance tickets etc.). This is very annoying though outside the street you have enough of that crazy behaviour! Also, the bathroom is leaking everywhere, what I told them. But nobody did anything. I think there are other places with a better price-value!
Review 95:Good location, only 5 minutes walk to the tempels; nice garden; the owner itself is friendly and also offered me a free meal the last day - thank you!
Review 96:There are some local hazards, like unscrupulous taxi and three-wheeler drivers and unlicensed touristguides. They failed to warn us about them and we were fleeced by these rogues. Tehy also failed to warn us about the hazards of street food and roadside eateries.
Review 97:Staff were very helpful and ready to make amends to any faults of problems pointed out. They were very lesant to communicate with and always willing to help if one had a personal problem, like I had.
Review 98:A lot of bugs in the room from the careless garden outside. The rooms are not very clean
Review 99:Wide of display of activities (yoga, massage). A good number of complimentary services offered (lunch, dinner, organic fruit, mineral water). Economic
Review 100:Once arrived in the hotel in the early morning our first room was not good (bathroom without water, room a little bit dirty); we asked and they changed it immediately with another one nicer. Our bathroom was really big but the bath tube was dirty and not so confortable.
Review 101:We enjoyed the location and the staff of this nice hotel in the main road of Khajurao. Staff was nice, food was lovely, position was perfect, room was big. Pick-up and drop-off were perfect and cheap.
Review 102:The only real disappointment was the Western breakfast we had the first morning. "Cornflakes with milk" came without milk and were obviously very stale. We would not even attempt to eat them. "Toast with butter and jam" came without jam, though we asked for it a couple of times. My wife's poached eggs had too much water and there was no salt nearby - just two pepper shakers. However, she was probably a bit ambitious ordering poached eggs, and my omelette was fine. Juice and coffee were also okay. If you do have breakfast here, I'd suggest you insist on Indian food. They really don't understand Western breakfast.
Review 103:Zen Hotel was a reasonably comfortable and peaceful place to stay. We were welcomed with a lemon tea and bananas - and a free massage, in the hope that we would pay for a full hour one later. The shower was a bit hit and miss, but we did get hot water when we asked for it. On the second day, we were given a free lunch, as part of some kind of festival, and the meal was excellent. The hotel is very well located and good value for the price. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Review 104:The room was not that clean and the toilet would not flush water!
Review 105:The location was great and close to everything important! The restaurant manu was splendid and diverse! Staff was very helpful!
Review 106:The garden/restaurant can use some maintenance and some time investment for keeping it a bit more neat.
Review 107:I had arranged for the hotel to pick us up from the train station. Even though our train was 3 hours late (I informed them by phone) the pick-up was there and they even cooked us dinner when we arrived at the hotel (at 22.30). We were offered complimentary water. We paid half the price of the room for a late check-out (22.00), wich we thought was good.
Review 108:Bed was exceptionally hard Fridge didn't work and wasn't repaired even after 3 different staff members told us they'd get right on to it. Air conditioning unit too small to handle the heat, room temperature very high even with aircon at full blast Room did not get serviced the entire 3 days we were there
Review 109:The initial reception was good, nice friendly staff, complimentary vegetarian supper
Review 110:Very friendly staff in a nice and clean Hotel, well located in Khajuraho, in walking distance from the western group of temples. Lovely garden where you can relax and possibility to get a massage in your room. The food in the restaurant is also tasteful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Khajuraho.
Review 111:at night too much mosquitoes. a man of the staff improperly phoned to the taxi we engaged to take us to the train station saying that we gived up and called a friend of him that wanted more money for the service.
Review 112:the manager is a very gentle lady. location near the west group temples
Review 113:The cleanless of the room which wasn't reconditioned for along time.
Review 114:We were nice impressed by the warm and forecoming attitude of the boysfrom the hotel staff. Also very tasty food and nice service.
Review 115:Nice place in the "centre" of Khajuraho, near the famous Western Temples. Relaxing Garden where having breakfast, free internet and special thanks to the front desk Pooran, very helpfull
Review 116:Dusty but this is typical for desert villages.
Review 117:Zen Hotel in the center of a relaxed village Khajuraho. Very relaxing atmosphere. Owner very friendly especially willing to serve you mint tea whenever you decide.
Review 118:Very friendly owner Rajesh who really struggles to fulfil all wishes of his guests. Also the staff is very helpful. Hotel is comfortably located, just few steps from Western Temples. Dinners prepared and served personally by Rajesh are charming and delightful. Wi-Fy in place.
Review 119:Evereting was ok -early morning meeting at the rail station, welcome tea, hot wather, dry bathroom, clear room with a large bad, very helpful and friendly staff , good location near to the west temples- what you expect for this money. And of course , very delicious home-made food in the garden. Thanks , Mr Rajesh!
Review 120:cleanliness is a real problem even in deluxe rooms (too much dust on furniture), property need maintenance
Review 121:Location, good price
Review 122:food
Review 123:location
Review 124:Family like treatment. Care
Review 125:good value for money, good position near the temples. nice atmosphere in the hotel and nice garden.
Review 126:far from Gaya railway station
Review 127:I could request a bathtub. It was answered. every stuff is kindly and their information is available.
Review 128:dirty and everything... We wanted this Hotel only to take shower and let the luggages there, but we run out from the Hotel, when we saw the room.
Review 129:Food is not the best.
Review 130:Friendly staff, good location.
Review 131:rooms don't have staff calling bells & intercoms
Review 132:greenry
Review 133:Horrible blankets.
Review 134:Quiet and pleasant atmosphere in the garden.
