Reviews for Hotel Acquaviva Del Garda
Review 1:The indoor "SPA" whirlpool is a joke.
Review 2:Nice double room with balcony and lake view. The breakfast was super-good with perfect service. Location is right between Desencano and Sirmione. The outdoor swimming facilities are very good.
Review 3:Nothing! But if i have to mention anything, then maybe the (classical) music around the pool, I prefer no music but only watersounds.
Review 4:Big, quiet room with comfortable bed, nice pool/sauna area with tea/water and indoor/outdoor relaxing chairs, great diverse breakfast, friendly and so helpfull staff, tunnel to the beach.
Review 5:Very relaxed, excellent buffet breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. The room was lovely as was the beautiful view. Staff were very friendly and professional.
Review 6:Initially, their quota of passwords for internet access had been exceeded ( ehat's that about...?) and we had to call back later......
Review 7:Stunning location overlooking Lake Garda. Very helpful staff. Very good range of food for breakfast.
Review 8:But breakfast wasn’t good! We were impressed that variety of food was so small. Doesn’t looks like in Italy! Servers on breakfast were rude.
Review 9:Very nice hotel! Private beach with jacuzzi area was awesome! Rooms is quite big and bed are huge! Nice and helpful staff on the reception and housekeeping.
Review 10:There are a lot of spaces outside which are not used or look a little abandoned. Would be nice to have breakfast or coffee outside. Rooms should be refurnished.
Review 11:The common spaces are nice. The rooms are spacious and light. The garden near the lake is very nice.
Review 12:Beautiful pristine and modern hotel but the positives end there so far as our stay is concerned. Wifi poor to non existent. Hotel miles from centre where all the tourist activities are. Paid specifically for lake view with balcony and got a first floor partial lake view with more of a hotel car park view with odd glimpse of lake and very busy and noisy major road directly outside. No one wants to sip champagne on a balcony in the busy car park on their first wedding anniversary :-( The balcony is so close to the car park that you could converse with people getting into cars. hotel staff not interested when I raised this and maintained we had a lake view. Facing the direction of the lake is not a lake view!!
Review 13:The hotel was meticulously clean.
Review 14:For a 4-star hotel, there were a couple of disappointments--like what hotel doesn't provide an iron and iron board? Ridiculous. Also, breakfast included should mean breakfast is included (no matter room service or not). Whatever is in the buffet should be available to serve in the room at the same "included breakfast" price. Also, who makes guests wear pool caps to swim. Very weird. And we paid for a Lake View room but got a partial lake view--unacceptable; especially when they gave us a twin bed room and pushed the beds together to make one instead of one Queen like we requested.
Review 15:Due to our newborn, we had room service every evening, so we can honestly say that the evening room service tasted very good, but I don't understand why there isn't a menu in the room. Also, the gym facility suited my needs; although, they could probably provide a little heavier weights, I was still able to continue my workouts.
Review 16:Hotel is 35 minute walk to Desenzano Del Garda Port or 5 minute taxi which costs 11 euro. Also very few taxi's around at night time. Have to connect to WIFI every day by requesting new password from reception. Lunch menu in hotel very expensive but cafes nearby to have lunch.
Review 17:Private beach at front of hotel is gorgeous. Beach has access to water, amazing views of the lake, sun beds and a jacuzzi. Hotel is very nice and rooms are to a high standard. Nice breakfast every morning. Hotel Spa is ideal for relaxing with turkish baths, sauna, plunge pool and indoor swimming pool.
Review 18:The overall exterier looks of the Hotel was kind of poor and not at allas represented in pictures on line.
Review 19:Very good spa treatments, very comfetarble access to the lake
Review 20:No tea making facilities in the room.
Review 21:Staff were extremely helpful and efficient, particularly when our grandson fell ill and had to have an ambulance called. Outside pool the cleanest we have ever been in.
Review 22:WiFi was very poor and codes were only given for 48 hours and then had to get a new code but connectivitly was not good. Didn't like that I had to wear one of their bathing caps as I wasn't sure if it was clean as it was wet when given to me so didn't go in the pool again. Front desk staff were not overly friendly or helpful as experienced in other accommodation during our 2 week trip.
Review 23:Breakfast was fantatic. Private Beach and access was very good. Rooms were extrememly clean and well maintaned. Every time we went out we cam back to a clean room. The bar service was also very good as was the turkish steam bath.
Review 24:The location by the lake is lovely but the kiosk by the lake was not open until 12 and to get water you need to walk all the way back to reception, who calls someone to come to the bar to serve overpriced litte bottle of water! So if you want some water you need to walk around the hotel in your wet swimming costume ! Also to go in the pool you have to wear a hair cap. it's not a leisure centre ?! I've never seen that anywhere! Food : pretty ashamed as an Italian to be served a dry pre-packed sandwich when we checked in and wanted a snack. Really? really shocked a 4 stars hotel would serve that. is it not supposed to be a beauty farm spa hotel? surely they should have some healthy snacks available! On the Second day I found my nighty on a corner on the floor. Now I understand they might have moved it to make the bed but to put it on the floor is just unacceptable to me.
Review 25:Location although noisy by the lake because of road behind. free use of bikes.
Review 26:No major complaint - the decor in the room is slightly dated.
Review 27:Facilities were terrific! I made time to enjoy them every day and it was almost hard to decide whether I should go out or just stay at the hotel! The receptionist who assisted me with my check-in was very helpful and personable, and staff were generally very nice at the hotel. Depending on what you're looking for, I like the fact that it's at the fringe of Desenzano and Rivoltella has its own cute little town center with some good restaurants. The area's very peaceful and quiet.
Review 28:This hotel is not Pet Friendly. I booked the room with the panoramiclake view and noted that I was bringing my small pet. When I arrived Iwas put in a room on the first floor that was dark with no view andcharged the same rate as the panoramic room that I booked. The rate wasa lot higher than other properties in the area that were very nice whenI drove around and looked at the others in person. You need a car, it isa far walk from the city center.
Review 29:There is a nice pool area, but it is not heated so it was too cold to goin. The 'beach' is only chairs in the grass that have a view ofthe lake. The grass was not maintained and too high so there were a lotof bugs biting us.
Review 30:WIFI is a little clumsy to handle. we also had recpetion problem in our room on the first day, but it was resolved on the next day.
Review 31:a lot of facilities... need to make available time on your trip to enjoy the full features of the hotel
Review 32:Restaurant menu was poor and did not change. There are lots of nice places to eat outside so don't worry. No tea or coffee facilities in the room! Main bar area and terrace bar area was quiet and didn't seem to be used (may have been a bit early in the season).
Review 33:Spa, beach area (you walk under the road through a lovely tunnel). Rooms were well appointed and comfortable.
Review 34:No computer and printer for the guests. You would expect a 4 star hotel with 4 conference rooms to offer this simple option in 2014. Staff are ok, could be nicer and could speak better english. Breakfast is as expected plain old boring "continental" type with simple food and lots of unfresh products.
Review 35:The spa is nice with wet and dry saunas, inside pool with jets and other nice water features. Location is on the water of Garda.
Review 36:Breakfast was not stocked all three mornings we went. WiFi is a pain in the rear to use. you have to get a code from the desk that is only good for 24 hours and only for one device. you have to use that login and password eachtime you want to use the internet. the Spa never answered their phone. The AC barely worked and the room was really hot!
Review 37:The facility was nice, things were clean and modern. The shower worked really well. there is plenty of parking and you can walk every where from the hotel. there where lots of things to do in the area.
Review 38:Rooms with view on a lake are from a main street and parking side so youhave to decide - beautiful view or quiet night, breakfast was not muchItalian, and could be a bit more rich. Hotel is placed a bit in themiddle between two towns so car is rather necessary.
Review 39:Hotel is really clean, rooms are spacious with big balconies, spafacilities with two pools internal and external, fitness club, privatebeach with no access to the lake but with Jacuzzi, last but not leastamazing view on the Garda lake.
Review 40:Breakfast were litlle bit poor: small selection, a long time to wait for coffee and if some products finished there is a long time for fulfilment.
Review 41:The indoor spa and outdoor pool, entrance to the beach
Review 42:Lovely terrace by the lake, view from lake view room was spectacular. Staff couldn't be more helpful
Review 43:The spa area could be better, However the steam bath was fantastic.
Review 44:We were upgraded in a suite room, very spacious, excellent king size bed.
Review 45:Excellent location by the lake shore!
Review 46:there is no privet beach . breakefast the same all days .
Review 47:The beach actually does not have access to the water; the closest nice beach is not in the walking distance
Review 48:Comfortable hotel and nice staff
Review 49:Poor wifi and TV picture in room 310 also service lift noise
Review 50:Location and view, leisure facilities
Review 51:Very nice hotel and friendly staff
Review 52:Very nice hotel on quite location
Review 53:The wood facade of the hotel . Need a maintinance
Review 54:Facilities and location
Review 55:Very kind service staff Location hotel facilities large and silent rooms garden, pool and lake side
Review 56:Just a niggle about how the breakfast varied in standard each morning. One morning not enough bowls so had cereal in a cup and fruit salad on plate! Hot water stored in flask which was not hot enough for tea. Yogurt, fruit salad, eggs not available every morning.
Review 57:Loved the calm ambiance of the place. The pleasant scents and water features as well as spacious halls and rest areas contributed to tranquility.Great sized room with superb views of lake. Staff v.helpful. Having onsite parking was also ideal as we had hired a car.
Review 58:It was a pity that we were unable to walk down to the beach of the lake in the hotel grounds that were opposite the hotel, but this was because it was out of season.
Review 59:It was a very comfortable room and very well appointed. The desk staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Review 60:Shabby, needs to be renewed. I would say it used to be a strong 4 stars hotel but today it has only 3 stars.
Review 61:Location of the hotel seems to be attractive as it is situated near the lake, however, in front of the hotel there is a road with plenty of cars so it is rather noisy inside the room. There is a tunnel under the road so there is a private beach with its own sun beds. Good swimming pool with clean water.
Review 62:Spa , private beach and outdoor pool are closed after 8 PM . Private beach doesn't lay on the shore itself , but a little bit above . So the access to the lake is actually public and not very clean. The water in all Jacuzzi is cool, we were expecting it to be hot .
Review 63:Big spacious room with a big balcony . Spa facilities are very good - we spent a lot of time there . There is a private beach with 3 Jacuzzi overlooking the lake . Breakfast has a big variety of tasty food - in fact it was the best breakfast we had in our North Italy trip . Definitely would return there .
Review 64:The airconditioning did not cool the room well enough. All public areas of the hotel were hot. Complicated restaurant set up, open at different times and a very uninspiring menu. Not many places to eat nearby, the hotel is half way between two towns requiring a long walk either way. The towels for the pool are only available at certain times and you have to produce a card. All in all, too many strange rules.
Review 65:Our double room was spacious with a lovely view of the lake. The balcony was private and large enough to sit out and enjoy the view. The pool was sizeable and well maintained, surrounded by gardens. Staff were all pleasant.
Review 66:One of the breakfast waitresses made you feel she was doing you a favour when you asked for things ie more hot water for tea and to replenish the bread baskets
Review 67:where it was on lake Garda suited our needs,we have stayed here before.
Review 68:Limited quantites and assortment for brekafast with bad service, by the price of room
Review 69:Design and spacious of room, extremly big bed. Sauna and Turkish bath. Wireless in room.
Review 70:Nothing. The only observation I would make is that the outside of the hotel does not look anything special and that could deter some people, whereas once you get inside it is a lovely surprise to see how nice it is with great water features everywhere.
Review 71:Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very good modern decor, lovely gardens and excellent outdoor and indoor swimming pools and spa and lovely beach area.
Review 72:no dislikes
Review 73:Impressive modern hotel, excellent faciities/spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. well situated close to the lake side, beautiful lakeside view from bedroom balcony.Large outside pool with extensive sun bathing area, plenty of deck chairs, towels and towelling robes provided for use around the poolside.
Review 74:Had a lake view room (paid additionally), but from the first floor we had more like a parking view. And the road is very close and quite noisy. Wouldn't recomend a room with a "view on the lake". Breakfast was ok, but never chenged in six days.
Review 75:The stuff, modern design, rooms were quite nice. Spa area - also good, although I'm not a big fan. Swimming pool was good.
Review 76:i found the staff -particularly the receptionists, unhelpful when my phone was taken from my room, they just said "not our problem", even though we could pinpoint the exact hour it was stolen.
Review 77:the room and the view were excellent
Review 78:Wifi connection should be also included in the rooms. The room price is high enough that this service could be part of the price.
Review 79:A very modern house with a lot of nice details. For Italia a very good option and not the typical Italian old fashion hotels form the 70`s which take to much money for to bad quality. Friendly staff and a famouse view over the lake from the beach area.
Review 80:But Hotel staff were not friendly. Hotel Bar where you can get the towelon the Sea side were closed after 07:00 pm. The hotel is not on the Seaside but was connected by a Tunnel to the Sea. But after 08:00 pm theyswitched off all the light in this Tunnel. Unbelievable!!!
Review 81:Generally the Hotel was clean and well designed.
Review 82:I wasn't excited about the cards for getting towels at the beach and thepool. Perhaps many guests steal towels which then worries me.
Review 83:The hotel from the outside does not look as near as inviting as theinside. At first you think you don't have lake access but then you do bya nice tunnel to the beach. It is a very nice hotel with all itsfacilities.
Review 84:Although it had a large dinning room, the daily menu is very limited, with no options for vegetables, or pasta'S. Only a salad bar. The mealsare served with only one vegetable. The dinning room was usually empty, therefore a more varied menu would be welcome.
Review 85:The hotel is in a beautifull location, with wonderful views of lakeGarda. Set between Desenzarno and Sirmione, and a 30 minute drive fromVerona. The hotel is very spacious, good size rooms. The restaurant andbar area's are also very spacious. The staff are welcoming and helpful. There is a private beach and pool area accessed by a tunnel under theroad. Although on a main road you do not notice traffic noise. I wouldhighly recommend this hotel.
Review 86:Serviceminded Staff, nice rooms, well equiped, propper worling internet, breakfast OK, room cleaning perfect, nice bathroom
Review 87:Very nice location with a nice spa for a very relaxing weekend. Very reach breakfast and nice atmosphere.
Review 88:would be nice to be able to make tea in the room
Review 89:Ambience in the SPA area and the beach, the room was lovely, the area was beautiful
Review 90:SPA zone is not so well furnished.
Review 91:Even the standard room was really wide and conforable. One of the most rich and well served breakfast ever seen
Review 92:too much chloride in the pool-water
Review 93:we loved the breakfast and the politeness of the staff. the park and the garden were amazing
Review 94:No free and pay wifi in the room, sweeming pool open only till8:00 pm...
Review 95:Nice hotel, nice rooms, profesional service.
Review 96:Only a few staff members were less friendly, most were very friendly
Review 97:Everything
