Review 1：Huge and soul-less hotel out of season. Not the nicest location, felt a bit intimidating at night. Few derelict buildings around

Review 5：Information and description of the hotel on booking.com was inaccurate. There was no lake view from our room. Staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and difficult to identify as they wore casual clothes. The breakfast was mediocre. The hotel was continually noisy. All in all a very disappointing experience.

Review 13：The rooms are ok, the design is a bit outdated. Bed is hard. Everything costs money (cleaning, parking 10 euro/day, breakfast) only Wifi is included. Location could be better, for us this was no problem as we had a car with us.

Review 14：The pool is lovely and very nice after a hot day walking around in Verona/venice. A supermarket is close by (50 m walk). Rooms are very spacious. Kitchenette has everything to cook a simple dinner. There was in addition to the wifi an ethernet connection present in the appartment, it was slower than the Wifi but more stable.

Review 15：Bad breakfast - people who served breakfast should clean their clothes, and also wear uniforms, not dirty jeans, trousers etc. Variety of food very poor and coffe disaster. Sorry, but it's true.

Review 27：It was noisy, too far from anywhere and the breakfast was poor, with a little grumpy man sat at the doorway checking room numbers as you came in and to make sure you didn't leave with any food!!! Just needs some TLC.

Review 30：We had a family suite and it was really big. It had a kitchen but you have to pay if you use it. We did not but I can understand that sometimes it is nice to stay home and relax and make something simple to eat. We only stayed two nights after easter and wanted to go out. If we could sit on the big balcony that belongs to the room we would have but it was too cold. It has a A/C that also works as a heater which we needed and that was really good. The bathroom is nice and has a big shower. It also has a hairdryer. Breakfast is ok with some good specialities but not a huge selection. It is in Italy so I would say it is considered a good choice of breakfast.

Review 35：Socket in bathroom hanging out of wall. Plug lifter for sink not adjusted. Shower doors not adjusted so water sprayed out. No head between hot water tank and shower = insufficient pressure so unable to make shower hot.

Review 39：We did not have a car so spent a lot on taxi and bus fares. Do not ask Hotel to call you a taxi. We did that once and it cost twice what normal taxis cost as they use a private company. Free shuttle bus advertised on some website but this does not exist. Two bed apt has one spacious double room but second room is twin beds at opposite end of room. We were 2 couples so this was not great. Beds really uncomfortable. No lake view available from this hotel.

A basic information pack in the room might be helpful to save pestering the staff on the front desk eg for WiFi connections and we did not realise that there were some laundry facilities in the basement until the day before we left.

Review 45：Driving and parking the car gives you a summary why this hotel is not what it would want to be or even could be. I.e. Its not a pretty sight.

Review 46：On very short notice decided to travel and ended up here. If it was kept up this could be great. For a three night trip with low expectation it did the trick for us. Room was very big. We were very happy/lucky to have an inner side room rather than directly street facing.

Review 47：Not too much to do or see close to the hotel which means unless you have a car , you need to walk 7 km to Sirmione or catch a taxi. Beware with taxis as they try and start the meters on 13 Euros.

Review 52：Great hotel! The room was huge (would be correct to say that it is not a room, but a specious apartment) we stayed in room 106, had a balcony to with a view to the pool. Breakfast was good, but not as good as expected - looking at the other responds. it is very close to a place that you can rent a motorboat and just walk there for 5 minutes from the hotel, it is in a camping village San Francesco, and it upgraded our trip a lot - try it! Location wise - not so close to Sirmione if you don't have a car, but if you do it's not a problem at all to get there, only 10 minutes driving and then 10 minutes looking for parking.. I have to mention that the cleaning level of this place is extremely good! Overall opinion- would definitely go back there if I will visit Garda lake again.

Review 53：The staff were incredibly helpful even before we got there. We had made a couple of special requests and everything was taken care of with confirmation back by email. Location is great for both Desenzano and Sirmione (walkable if you're fit and taxis there in minutes as an alternative) There's a supermarket behind the hotel and kitchen facilities in the apartments. The swimming pool may not be Olympic size but it's quirky and great to relax in. I've already recommended Relais du Lac to a few friends and colleagues.

Review 59：Most of the negative reviews I read about the hotel were totally unfounded. The suite we got was great, large terrace, aircon, clean, kitchen box all equipped. Breakfast was great. The staff were very quick and friendly. Great fruit salad! :-) Next to the hotel there is a huge supermarket, so plenty of supply of beverages and food. The hotel is not at the lakeside but it is very close. Sirmione is 5 min. away and there you can get all kinds of views and panoramas. Free underground parking! Great value for money! I recommend and will definitelly come back.

Review 124：no heating except in the bathroom the pool was out of order we had to wait for 30-40 minutes for a second blanket the whole complex was scruffy and we could really see that is was mid-season or low-season. For a four star hotel we expected a really nice breakfast buffet. Unfortunately it wasn't nice at all. The coffee machine was absolutely dirty and when we arrive (30 min. before it closed) there were no croissants left and they didn't bring new ones. The honey and the marmelade were already expired. That is definitely a no-go for a four star hotel.

We had booked a suit, however we got a one-bedroom apartment that we really liked. We had to leave the next morning therefore we did not use any facility of the hotel. The atmosphere at the hotel was very nice. The reception lady when we checked out was very good in English and was extremely nice and kind. We had a nice stay at this hotel.

Review 132：Breakfast was very poor, cleaners forgot to clean room even if we had clearly left the sign to clean it, location is not very central and staff were ok but did not make you feel welcome. Would not stay at this hotel again.
