Reviews for Best Western Soave Hotel
Review 1:Had no elevator to reach my room at 1st floor. So had to carry my heavy luggage through stairs. The air cooler was shut down centrally. When I asked the front desk to turn it on, they replied that it's not possible. I found it rude.
Review 2:I liked the room amenities, bathroom, Breakfast.
Review 3:The AC is controlled form the reception and on the first night the room was terribly hot 37C. I tried to call reception during the nite but no one answered. We also asked for extra pillows for the children and although they promised to deliver in 10 minutes these never came and had to ask again in the morning. At night its quite noisy as the room is overlooking the train rails.
Review 4:The room is spacious and nice design.
Review 5:Room was large, clean and we had good night sleep. Welcome drink was nice and restaurant and staff were excellent. Breakfast on the veranda (4 Euros) was very good...from eggs to excellent fruit and everything in between. Cannot fault the hotel or staff.
Review 6:They charged us an extra 20 euros a night for our 8 year old and another 20 euros a night for our 4 year old daughter. They also charged both kids for breakfast. How many other hotels charge for kids like that? It makes it extremely expensive for a family.
Review 7:Nothing
Review 8:I like everything and the pool and bar area are lovely. The staff are all friendly though mr. Soave could be a bit more well mannered, he lets the side down !
Review 9:We stayed here for a softball tournament and it is very close to the field. The hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable. The restaurant at the entrance to the hotel is quite good!
Review 10:The surrounding area around the hotel are not so nice, but we don't care as we just stayed in the hotel or drove to the other locations.
Review 11:Very good location to drive to Verona, Venice and Lake Garda. Hotel is new and clean, we love the bathroom and the shower with LEDs. The breakfast buffet is great and a good deal.
Review 12:This hotel is a dream come true for travellers. I liked that it cost very little to upgrade to the 'Emotion' (luxury) rooms and that the incredibly varied breakfast was included plus everything in the mini-bar. I liked that there was a complementary drink and that you could have this at the poolside in the evening while snacking on a wonderful free buffet. I liked the service. I liked the fact there was so much attention to detail in this beautiful modern hotel. The tea/coffee area with fruit and croissants. The snooker table. And then there is the breakfast which is simply OUT OF THIS WORLD for variety and quality. Go to this hotel, visit nearby ancient Soave with its city walls and castle and, and, and, enjoy the food, the ice cream, the Soave wine. You won't regret your stay and will wish it was longer believe me. *) And all at a VERY modest price.
Review 13:When front desk staff rotated we encountered less helpful staff. We were offered a welcome drink on the evening we arrived but were unable to take this up as we had booked the opera in Verona Arena (a must) When I tried to exchange the voucher on the second evening the staff member on the desk was not prepared to exchange the voucher which I considered petty in the overall context of our stay.I
Review 14:We stayed here for two nights in July '15. We got a very good deal on two rooms which were small but clean and comfortable and fine for our stay. We were offered an uopgrade for an additionall fee but declined. The hotel has an excellent pool and we took breakfast for 4 Euro per person which was excellent value for money. The hotel is conveniently located by the railway station but not so close as to be affected by the noise. This is extremely convenient for trips into Verona and we used this quite a bit. The female staff on the desk were very friendly and most helpful. I would recommend this hotel as a value for money hub to visit Verona and really enjoyed the down time around the pool when it was really hot.
Review 15:really nothing
Review 16:the breakfast, the bed, the reception area with a computer and coffee, the restaurant and the outside area with a swimming pool and park.
Review 17:We are couple with baby, it is super hotel. Super friendly staff, super breakfast and super nice room. We had super relaxation before flight in this hotel. thanks
Review 18:My only issue was with the air conditioning which turned off but we couldn't get it back and the room was very warm for sleeping. This may have been partly our fault but am not sure,
Review 19:The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
Review 20:The pool area is right next to railway and every time the train is passing it's like you are on the railway station. Except that, everything else was ok.
Review 21:The room was quite large and really clean ( we took superior double room). The female receptionist was really friendly & gave us advice on where to eat ( thanks to her we ate really excellent sea food). We liked the breakfast especially that there was organic and gluten free food choices
Review 22:Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Spoke very good English. Free wifi worked well. Spacious rooms and great breakfast included. Would highly recommend this hotel,l
Review 23:Room was a little small. I was offered to upgrade for extra money something I dont like.
Review 24:nice hotel. Very good service. We also had dinner there and was Ok. They have a welcome drink every evening between 6 and 8 pm. Don't arrive late as you wont get one. Half an hour drive from Verona. But on a very nice country side. Worth the drive.
Review 25:The hotel is on the outskirts of the small town which seem an unsafe location. Free parking option only includes parking spots between the hotel entrance and the street. If you want to park somewhere safer, you need to pay 9 EUR for the place in the garage.
Review 26:Staff was friendly, Wi-Fi was good and the room was clean.
Review 27:The hotel is located in a run down industrial area, which looked a bit like a ghost town. Scary until you see the Best Western sign.
Review 28:The location was very for putting in a quick night near the highway. The price was right, and the pizza in the built in restaurant was amazing!
Review 29:Its long story. We have never met with this type of strange rules. 10 points how to "use" swimming pool. We were eyewitnesses of 3 conflicts with pool manager in 20 minutes. It doesnt make good atmospehere for relaxing and its absolutelly bizarre.
Review 30:Ideal hotel for one night. Comfortable bed, clean room, quick wifi, tasty food, very kind service.
Review 31:The water in the bathroom was not going very well and the air condition didn't work as is supposed to.
Review 32:Pool, breakfast, room, bed, location. It is on the perfect place if you travelling and want to visit Verona, Venice, Gardaland..
Review 33:We stayed for one night, just passing through. For that the location is good. We picked this hotel because after a long drive we could take a dip in the pool. NOT POSSIBLE. 'due to maintenance you can't use the pool', this was in late July. First room we entered, leakage. We got another room. Spotted a HUGE insect in the bathroom. Rooms are small and very dark. We apparently were in the old part of the hotel. Pool table in the lobby seems to be for show, we couldn't use it because there was a room directly above we were told. It was 09.00 p.m. (21:00). I would not stay here again, at least not in the 'old' part of the hotel.
Review 34:Staff was good and kind and spoke English. Free parking. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special but ok. A Hotel for a quick stop and go on your way to other parts of Italy/Europe. But not for more than a night.
Review 35:in the pool you have to use swimming caps :/ but you can buy them at the reception
Review 36:the hotel is elegant and clean, very nice and helpful staff, delicious and varied breakfasts buffet, swimming pool offers a cool opportunity to relax after the journeys, in the main lobby coffee maker which you can use at any time, quietly and peacefully
Review 37:The hotel is very well placed with ample parking. Facilities are good and breakfast is really good italian style.
Review 38:The staff are Super and really nice. We were very welcome and also enjoyed the breakfast which was fantastic.
Review 39:friendly stuff
Review 40:The shower cabin is not comfortable
Review 41:Professionali, cortesi, discreti
Review 42:Noisy airconditioning
Review 43:Excellent breakfast, with huge variety of choices Nice dinner at the restaurant Quite big room
Review 44:Wi-fi funktion good only near the reception
Review 45:The room is clear und funny for the children
Review 46:Breakfast was not as good as previously. Closed restaurant and disco on Sunday.
Review 47:Was offered upgrade as breakfast was not included. Extra was not good value.
Review 48:Location and facilities. Breakfast good.
Review 49:Aria condizionata troppo rumorosa. Eccessivamente rumorosa
Review 50:Breakfast was good. Nice staff and clean hotel.
Review 51:We accept offered upgrade, and we didn't regret at all. Superior room (junior suite) was spectacular.
Review 52:kitchen staff snatching food in the breakfast room before all guests had eaten
Review 53:very friendly and helpful staff
Review 54:Excelent breakfast. We stoped while traveling from France to Slovakia so we appreciated locality close to highway.
Review 55:noisy fan of the A/C
Review 56:Great breakfast, nice personnel
Review 57:Air conditioning noise during night.
Review 58:Nice hotel with good location.
Review 59:slow wifi
Review 60:The rooms and bathroom can have a little update
Review 61:The breakfast is the best!
Review 62:Reception and internet, airconditioner...
Review 63:Breakfest
Review 64:The first 2 days the water in the pool was bad. It was cleaned during our stay -
Review 65:Good clean room.
Review 66:location is not the best if you dont have a car.
Review 67:book the rooms called emotions. They are like suites.
Review 68:The location is 'fair' because whilst we chose it because of its close proximity to the train station, the immediate environs were poor and run down and the walk to the station would feel unsafe for a lone person.
Review 69:The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the San Bonifacio train station which has direct trains to Verona and Venice; the hotel itself was very modern; the staff in the onsite bar and restaurant were very friendly although the receptionist was just ok; the on site restaurant was good value and very tasty and they allowed us to take away our unfinished pizza at the end of the night.
Review 70:We like the location also the service and the breakfast . The woman in the lobby helped us to find some info we needed . In adition the free parking
Review 71:Location. Some of the things make the hotel look cheap: blue lights outside hotel, table soccer and billiards in the lobby, the nightclub.
Review 72:The value fir money.
Review 73:Shower pressure was a dribble at best Photos in hotel show newlyrefurbished rooms, but ours looked nothing like it
Review 74:Breakfast was great - heaps of choice. Restaurant food was very tasty
Review 75:About the location: it is close to the motorway, but the area around the hotel is not the nicest I could imagine. I would be happy to have an indoor swimming pool when it was raining.
Review 76:The breakfast was amazing - very wide selection, especially when the weather let us have sit outside on the terrace with view to the swimming pool. Ideal for discovering the area Veneto. Do not miss Soave! We stayed in a classic room which was bot too big, but was OK. Altogether very satisfied, good value for money.
Review 77:Hotel very well maintained. Rooms comfortable and clean. They offer a small snack in the afternoon. The pool is very good, as well as the location to visit Verona. Large rooms and an excellent cost-benefit ratio. My family loved it. Excellent standard of hotel. I sure would.
Review 78:The hotel is great for overnight stays whilst visiting other places in the area. It has a nice pool and staff is very friendly. Room was furnished with aged furniture but was totally clean and functional.
Review 79:Was offered upgrade on arrival from 12 yr old furnishings to lovelybig room in new wing. An extra 10 euros a night but free non-alcoholicdrinks in the mini fridge. I doubt the old rooms are used so wouldsuggest you try to get the new room when you book. Location looksawful when you arrive but suited us. For scenery go up into Soave andsee the Castle.
Review 80:The breakfast was very good, choice of fruit, meat, pastries, cerealand english breakfast. 24 hr reception and very helpful staff.Restaurant was good, if a little slow. Room was efficiently cleanedevery day and bed was comfortable. Good air conditioning and quiet.Swimming pool was great.
Review 81:Absolutely no remarks :)
Review 82:Excellent hotel: professional staff, rooms are well designed, big andclean, swimming pool and really good breakfast served (continental) withgreat variety of food. And most important it's pet-friendly: wereceived a pet welcome package with a toy, food and informations aboutactivities to do. The room had bowls for food/water, dog's bedand a fleece to enjoy the dog sleeping on the king-size bed
Review 83:Very welcoming staff on arrival. Hotel is an absolute bargain, feels more like a 5 star than a mere 3 stars. The value for money is simply astounding. The room was modern, spacious and luxurious. We ate in the restaurant which served excellent Veronese cuisine. The free welcome drink was also a great plus. The swimming pool looked good too, but we arrived too late to use it. I couldn't recommend this hotel any higher, absolutely amazing value for money with amazing views of the Soave vineyards.
Review 84:location is a bit "industrial" which is pitty due this is a wonderfull area with winards and castles
Review 85:Great big room, very tidy and nicely designed. Very easily to reach, next to main road to SBonifacio.
Review 86:for us night to this hotel was absolute perfect room was ok clean bath ok breakfast was absolute perfect parking place was big enough for our 2 trucks staff was so kind that let us to park one trailer till we come back when sure we shall stay again one night
Review 87:Only some annoying trifles: a few sparkling lamps (air condition, TV) prevented to sleep; too narrow pass to the room, not enough for the double room; only Italian TV channels; a passway to the railway station is like a village track.
Review 88:Directly on the high-way and in a few steps from the railway station (but absolutely quite), exactly between Verona and Vicenza, in the heart of the famous vine region. Only ten minutes by city bus or by car to the marvellous Soave castle. But the real gem of the hotel is its gourmet restaurant with a great choice of refined dishes.
Review 89:I rather disliked the bed matress and absolutely abhorred the pillows. They did not fit me at all and I woke up with strained neck.
Review 90:A hotel in the right place with the right setup. I liked it very much: the location, staff, interior, services were all top value for money. I hope it is the value of the BW chain. And the breakfast - rich and diverse - quite untypical for italian hotels. I am used to being offered a dry croissant, a synthetic jam and curare strong-coffee as Italian breakfast. Best Western Soave breakfast was very different.
Review 91:Internet access available in room and the reception was very good. Staff was helpful. I stayed in one of the older ("classic") rooms rather than upgrading to the new area and had no problems with it. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was extensive and good and we received complimentary welcome drinks from the bar on our first night. There was plenty of parking. And the train station was very close to the hotel to get to Verona.
Review 92:I liked everything at the hotel.
Review 93:The room was excellent, the staff friendly and the restaurant was superb. Guiseppe the Head Waiter was the consummate professional, and the food beautifully presented and a very reasonable price.
Review 94:This is a roadside hotel so you definitely need a car.
Review 95:Value for money. Restaurant and inclusive breakfast were good. Definitely upper 3 star. Close to countryside and near enough to Verona.
Review 98:The adjacent nightclub was a mystery to us and we are glad of this judging by the very none descrete posters outside near the carpark although this did not interfere with our stay and no noise could be heard from it at any time of day or night. For people wishing to travel by train to any of the larger cities from San Bonaficio we would recommend driving to the station and using the car park, as when walking through the subway it was full of grafiti and looked very unwelcoming.
Review 99:Good Facilities: Swimming Pool, free internet, nice restaurant, nice ambiance, great staff, clean comfortable and well equiped family room. The hotel is in our opinion usefull for business travellers as it is located in an area where several large business's are located or for holiday travellers stopping off overnight. We used it as a base with the intention of travelling to more scenic locations during the day, but interspursed this with a couple of relaxing days at the pool.
Review 100:Wifi speed strongfly fluctuating restaurants pricing railway stationdirectly behind the hotel (feels like trains drive through the pool, very loud) extra costs for pool towels regulation and prohibitions foreverything
Review 101:Free wifi in most public areas, breakfast good a/c in the rooms, freefitness room well designed room (a bit unlovely but modern) quiet roomminibar included in the room price
Review 102:Very nice rooms and swimming pool. This year was the second time we visited this hotel, just on our way. We were recommended by another traveller last year and we agree with his opinion that this hotel is an excellent stay on your trip to whatever place in Italy.
Review 103:We felt a sofa in the room would have made a big difference, also somedrawers, but it was still good.
Review 104:We chose the hotel as it was centrally located to explore Venice, Veronaand the Italian lakes. It was very comfortable, the staff went out oftheir way to assist, and mostly spoke English! The swimming pool was areal bonus.
Review 105:We stayed in the "Emotion-area" where we had a beautiful room with a view on the swimming pool. This room had everything we could wish for. The lightning was beautiful, especially in the bathroom. The happy hour was very well organised with a free drink and delicious snacks. Our daughter loved watching the Disney Channels on TV. Breakfast was one of the best we ever had.
Review 106:Good hôtel for a quick stop during a travel! Hotel restaurant was alsogood. We enjoyed the pool, even though the train noise is a bitsurprising the first time...
Review 107:We ate in the dining room 4 of the 5 nights we stayed (Sunday closed). We were impressed with the menu, the wine list, the quality and presentation of the food, and the ambiance of the restaurant. We would particularly like to commend the head waiter, Guiseppe, for his patience (translating the menu), knowledge, and his elegant, charming demeanor. As well, his assistant, Vanessa (who we also met in the breakfast room and parts of the hotel) was efficient, vivacious and congenial (despite our language difference). All the staff were helpful and efficient. The pool and patio area was well used but always clean. We were surprised and pleased to receive extras such as the welcome drink and antipasto, the wine with dinner, and the bar fridge supplies. All and all, we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay off the beaten track. Thank you.
Review 108:Part of personal unfriendly (including two ladys from reception desk, one from restaurant..) other employees non-professional (man who preparein the morning the beds to outdoor pool work with the cigarette in mouthsmoking and afther drop the butt directly down ... it was a beautifulmorning and just 6 from 16 tables was prepared on the terrace to thegarden to serving breakfast...) better hotel and investment than theemployees..
Review 109:Room and facilities very good, best breakfast for Italy
Review 110:We stayed only one might. This is my advice if arriving by train. Arrive with money and supplies before arriving. Train station and bank machine are in sketchy part of town. Big store for supplies is difficult to reach as requires long walk 30 minutes along busy road with no sidewalk. Hotel staff very helpful and you must make sure you know exactly which train you need to take to next destination as staff at train station speaks 0 English and automated machine was not functioning. There is a tunnel that crosses under tracks that leads to hotel. A kind local girl told us that it was risky at night. I reccommend this hotel if u arrive by car only.
Review 111:Pool & breakfast
Review 112:On our way to France, we stayed at Best Western Soave Hotel for onenight. It was nice that positiion of hotel is close to Verona, sovisiting Verona was easy, and also hotel was close to motorway, easy getin and get out. Hotel was very clean and knowing that is so close tomotorway, it was very quiet over night.
Review 113:Just an ordinary big hotel...
Review 114:Nothing negative at all
Review 115:friendly efficient lady receptionist, invitation to free appetizer, well equipped, lighty rooms, excellent breakfast buffet.
Review 116:That I had to go back to work :-)
Review 117:I was surprised the breakfast was so varied and good.
Review 118:nothing
Review 119:everything is ok
Review 120:location a bit weird if coming on foot from the train station.
Review 121:breakfast, staff, room
The Fine Print
