Reviews for Hotel Al Gabbiano

Review 1:When we visited in late September Bosa Marina felt end of season especially in the evenings. The weather was starting to turn so would advise coming a bit earlier. No cashpoint in the resort.

Review 2:Absolutely wonderful view from room 310, hotel hugely convenient for the beach. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent.

Review 3:Loud music from the bar next door ,but this is italy and it was over by 1130 pm.

Review 4:The restaurant the food was very good and our waiter Riccardo was very good, also the view from the room .we were on the 3 rd floor overlooking the Mediterranean Sea very nice .plenty of activity at the beach ,,kite surfers & sail boarders

Review 5:Location is right on a street. Beds where very hard. Breakfast is in a dark room and limited selection. If you want beach it is a good location - just cross the street. If you want to visit Bosa you need a car. btw Bosa is not worth a stay- the city is pretty run down.

Review 6:Rooms where newly redone, new bathroom. Good for beach vacation. An excellent restaurant is across the street- Cielo.

Review 7:Breakfast was the worst I've ever come across . Poor selection andthat was at a first come first served basis , chipped bowls and glassesand no clean spoons etc. Advertises private beach but fails to mentionthat if you want to use you must pay € 17 a day to avail of umbrellasand chairs . Staff at reception uninterested and on some occasions justrude , asked about ordering a taxi and was pointed to a number on thewall . When I said I had no phone then the eyes were thrown to heaven .It is quite old fashioned but that doesn't mean bad standards areacceptable .

Review 8:Location beside beach and balcony and view from room . The room itselfis bright and cleaned daily .

Review 9:hard beds, harsh bright bedlights, terrible service at the pizzeria. poor breakfast

Review 13:The beds were on the small side and hard and breakfast was somewhat basic

Review 14:Excellent location, staff and value

Review 15:Nothing

Review 18:Room with fantastic views over the beach.

Review 19:Very quiet location next to the beach, a lovely big room with a balcony overlooking the sea

Review 20:Huge, corner room with terrace and views, nice breakfast, close to the beach.

Review 21:Very nice clean hotel in a good location across from the beach. Good breakfast and staff are very helpful.

Review 22:Very helpful & friendly staff, good location, with a private beach, good food & helpful waiters & waitresses

Review 23:Very Very helpful & friendly staff, I cannot leave enough praise for them after i was taken into hospital for 15 days with Pneumonia. The way they looked after my travelling companion helping her to & from the hospital, even charging her phone. lovely private beach. good food.

Review 24:We could not quite decide where to stay for our first night in Sardinia, as Bosa has so many hotels and B&B. We finally opted for the Al Gabbiano Hotel because of its position and facilities. As it turned out, we have made the best possible choice. The hotel is virtually on the beach, our room at the top floor had a terrific view, was large and very comfortable, and it had a balcony with a gorgeous view, plus a table on which we had a great pizza brought from the restaurant downstairs, accompanied by a bottle of local sparkling wine and grappa, all this whilst the sun was setting down right in front of us. The sea was so calm and beautiful, both at night and in the morning, and the breakfast was more than sufficient, great coffee, cakes, ham/salami/cheese, etc. It all worked out extremely well and very inexpensively. The picturesque Bosa is supposed to be a 2km walk - we did not verify that and preferred to drive, which we would do again, actually. And if you do, try parking before crossing the bridge to Bosa on foot, rather than driving, as there seemed to be no parking spaces in town. On the other hand, take your car to the top of the castle, where you can park for free.

Review 25:3 floor hotel but lift only goes to 2nd floor.

Review 26:Brand new spacious room on top floor with sea view and large balcony. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food from restaurant and pizzeria.

Review 27:Half board option was twice as expensive than if I had paid for dinnerseparately. I was a little angry that we were charged extra for soda; weasked if it was included, but no one understood us. Also, food optionswere very poor, pizza or one kind of pasta. We rushed back to eat dinnerin time, missed the sunset, only to be ripped off on dinner. Wish we hadeaten elsewhere...

Review 28:Nice large room, location.

Review 29:Room, decor and furniture, not particularly nice.

Review 30:Nice view of the beach and sea and Aragonese tower from our corner room. Watched the sunset seated on the balcony of the room.
