Reviews for Albergo Diffuso Borgo Santa Caterina

Review 1:Very small badroom and shower, not very clean. We only stayed for one night. You probably get a better room if you stay longer (based on other reviews)

Review 2:Very friendly staff For only 15,- p.p. you can taste a proper sicilian dinner. Very good breakfast

Review 3:The bathroom, although okey, could be updated.

Review 4:This B&B is a little different from other places where we stayed in that it is a little old-fashioned with dark wooden walls and ceilings. The 3-person room we stayed in had a small balcony with a small table and 2 chairs and a fabulous view up to the Castello and over the valley. We had a marvellous Sicilian evening meal made by the courteous owner couple.

Review 5:Very friendly owner, good breakfast and supper. Clean and comfortable room. Quite near to the center of the town. Very simple to find the hotel, no problem with parking.

Review 6:The owners were a very polite and attentive couple and produced great local food in the evening. They added to the ambience of staying in a traditional Sicilian hill town as beautiful and interesting as Castaglione.

Review 7:Although Castiglione is very nice. It is challenging to find anything open in the evening. The shower box was very small and hot water run out very fast.

Review 8:The "Albergo diffuso" concept is ideal for those who want to avoid standardized hotel rooms and enjoy the atmosphere of a very nice Sicilian village. Rooms are cosy. Breakfast was simple but good. Very good value for the money we spent.

Review 9:The bed was quite uncomfortable: 2 matrasses put together with very hard springs of which one was relatively worn out.

Review 10:we had a nice big room with ample space. It was a bit too cold at night mainly because the buildings in this area are not built for temperatures below 5degC The owner was quite polite on the whole (but very stressfull) The little village is a nice location to find some rest..

Review 11:Wonderful old village located a very pleasant place to stay. The old building is authentically designed. Nice, friendly staff. Breakfast, home-cooked dinner, excellent and plentiful Very good starting point for car excursions to Mount Etna, the sea beach, or city visits. Good wi-fi connection.

Review 12:Nothing

Review 13:The hotel is located in a small town. The room was really nice with a nice balcony. There was a lot to choose from during breakfast. Due to the location, we saw lavastreams at night from the Etna. The family really tries to make you feel at home. Definitely worth going!

Review 14:The stuff couldn't speak English. Hotel’s building is very old, so the stair are narrow and rooms are not too big.

Review 15:Hotel is located in old city of wonderful Good B&B located in three buildings in the middle of a nice calm little town Catsiglione Di Sicilia. Hotel has no parking, but it is possible to park car for free on the street. Nice and clean but small rooms. The location was peaceful.

Review 16:Nothing much. The location was a bit out of town, but not bad.

Review 17:Fantastic old house. Great breakfast. Very patient, competent staff.

Review 18:Breakfast was great. You have to ty the dinner. The location is good, there is a parking place near the hotel.

Review 19:All the narrow steep stairs and paper thin walls

Review 20:The host was very pleasant and helpful

Review 21:Dinner average

Review 22:Nice view from balcony, pretty shaded terraces for breakfast

Review 23:Perfect service. Nice quiet village.

Review 24:Tha price of the meals is expensive by comparaison with quality and other paces in town

Review 25:Location, privacy, familiar ambiance

Review 26:Need Garmin

Review 27:Kind staff, good authentic food, clean rooms, authentic environment

Review 28:We had to think about it for some time, but we found something: the doors of the showercabin were crap.

Review 29:Good B&B located in three buildings in the middle of a nice, rustic little village. Staff helpfull with information, decent breakfast.

Review 30:Good value for money. Hotel is located in old city of wonderful calm little town Catsiglione Di Sicilia. Hotel has no parking, but it is possible to park car for free near by. Hotel’s building is very old, so the stair are narrow, rooms are not big, but I think it is an advantage- you can image how lived people earlier. In reception there are maps of city with hotel place, but staff don’t offer it. Host Valentino speaks English well, but staff no speak English, but it isn‘t problem. Coffee cups – plastic. In breakfast room isn’t cosy atmosphere- maybe it is too small. The breakfast is not very good.

Review 31:The breakfast is really not good. I would only recommend it for peopleon a budget.

Review 32:The staff was welcoming and trying to be helpful even though none ofthem spoke English. The location is perfect if you want to experiencethe life of a typical Sicilian small town (Catsiglione Di Sicilia isgorgeous!). Very close to everything there is to do without thedisturbance of mass tourism.

Review 33:Access would be difficult for anyone with impaired mobility

Review 34:Excellent value for money, helpful staff

Review 35:The stuff couldn't speak that much english and they weren't that helpful.

Review 36:Nice and clean rooms. The location was peaceful.

Review 37:I didn't have any negatives

Review 38:the location, price and staff were great!

Review 39:Card was not accepted due to connection issues.

Review 40:Especially city. B&B was also OK

Review 41:rooms where small but did fine.

Review 42:The staff and Valentino where very helpful, tiped us on where to visit. Breakfast was excellent.

Review 43:Difficult to find amongst the quite extensive higgledy piggledy houses.

Review 44:Quaint, unusual location with very friendly, accommodating staff.

Review 45:Wifi was only accessible in the lobby. The water was very poor and we had no shower doors.

Review 46:Close to center and good value for money.

Review 47:Fantastic breakfast and nice and helpfull staff

Review 48:No one speaks even three words of a different language but italian.

Review 49:Cheap b&b, cute breakfastarea.

Review 50:The location, the staff amability and information, the fact thet it was near the etna Nord
