Reviews for Echuca Gardens
Review 1:Late check in, not able to check in till 1600 hrs, and we were in Echuca at 1145 hrs. Had to walk around town with my overnight bags as we went there by train.
Review 2:The garden settings is lovely. The apartment is homely with beautiful paintings and photographs painted and taken by the owner himself, the bed rooms are well decorated with owner's personal touch, good experience.
Review 3:Bed was very hard for my liking and bench seat in kitchen/relaxing are too upright to relax but hard to do much about as space is small, because of this a tv in bedroom would be a welcome addition as you could relax and watch
Review 4:Quirky cabin well appointed great location, friendly host well equipped cabin
Review 5:Maybe just the couch.
Review 6:Our Host made us feel very welcome. The Van was amazing for something different and the grounds and garden where beautiful Over all a great stay..
Review 7:you need to have a frying pan and a toilet spray. and tongs and foil so I can use the grill. and perhaps a pizza tray . there were webs high up on top of the window sills and other high areas . other wise fabulous.
Review 8:it was really good having the separate areas for the kids and the adults to watch the boob tube, I will come back again.
Review 9:Poor Lighting to wagon Entry door difficult to open and breeze coming through door at night Lounge/kitchen ridiculously compact. Seating uncomfortable and cushions slide off Bed quite high. No where to hang jackets etc and no where to place objects such as bags, wallets etc Location a little isolated and too far from town to walk to the discovery centre Unable to heat anything in the microwave on crockery provided as plates are gold plated
Review 10:Nothing really
Review 11:I would have like a queen size bed instead of a double. But not a huge disadvantage.
Review 12:The atmosphere and gardens were amazing with authentic country styling right down to the home made ANZAC bickies... Great family get away....
Review 13:The couch in lounge area sags in the middle and is therefore quite uncomfortable..
Review 14:Great value. Excellent kitchen facilities and beautiful gardens. Will definitely come back and stay here again.
Review 15:We had a wonderful couple of days. The location was great, right on the edge of the forest and within walking distance of the old port. Loved the personal touches in the apartment too. Just a great place to stay. Will definitely return
Review 16:It was a bit cramped. Lacked little shelves especially near the bed for glasses, jewelry, mobile etc. Lacked a good comfortable chair. A long walk from the car with luggage.
Review 17:The quirkiness of the gypsy van, the beautiful timber floor, the comfy bed. Well equipped.
Review 18:The hotel owner was very helpful with information about local places to visit and some lovely nature walkways. The cabins were very creative and cute! I loved the Australiana theme and the wooden walls and floors. It was very cozy indeed.
Review 19:Nothing
Review 20:So many thoughtful, convenient inclusions, eg padded garden bench seats next to new bbq, in lovely private garden. Two tv's were a luxury. Two bathrooms! We were so grateful. So much more.
Review 21:In the off peak season maybe use Mortein spray bombs to eliminate the spiders and then get rid of the cobwebs, but this was overlooked by a wonderful host
Review 22:loved that it was clean with a well stocked kitchen also loved the Sunday morning entertainment in our pjs our host played the piano which was absolutely fab, made 2 old girls feel very special would absolutely stay longer next time.
Review 23:mattress's where not the best. All beds were bunks beds. Shower doors did not operate well, TV remotes did not work at all.
Review 24:pleasant surroundings. Kitchen was fully equiped. Laundry facilities good.
Review 25:Found the seating area in the kitchen end uncomfortable. A minor complaint.
Review 26:Liked the quirkiness of the van. Spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped. Home made biscuits a nice touch.
Review 27:Seating for relaxing and watching TV is uncomfortable. Height of the bed is very high.
Review 28:Quirky the idea of staying in Gypsy van is something different. They are well equiped and decorated. Great for a short stay. Good location for walking to river/port and most things in the town. Pub around the corner had good meals
Review 29:Owner very over the top -advising us how too sort recyclables and which lights too use No privacy walls too thin could hear everything owner was doing ceilings way too low Fire hazard building only one door out down other end of house from bedrooms on 2 story location Sensor light came on after my husband hit his head on the low deck above stairs!!! Bathroom door would not slide closed Lots of stagnant water lying around!!!
Review 30:Location Quirky building sunny deck separate spaces
Review 31:It was a little tighter than I thought it would be. Mattress was a bit hard for our liking but you can get that where ever you stay.
Review 32:Very unique, wanted to stay somewhere a bit different and the Gypsie Wagon certainly gave us that. We also liked being off the main road for the peace and quite. The setting was lovely, very pretty garden.
Review 33:it was in the owners backyard. The inclosed yard is not usable for kids.Very cluttered. There was no main bedroom just bunks everywhere and uncomfortable at that.It was also very dark
Review 34:The mattress's all need replacing. The kitchen extractor fan over the stove is way too low, even the short adults had to duck. The lounge suite has seen better days, very low and uncomfortable.
Review 35:The quirkiness of the property. Love the way they have given it character with all the furnishings but probably needs to have it reduced a bit to make it more comfortable.
Review 36:The older style metal bunkbeds have just a bit to be desired.
Review 37:Spacious wish we would've brought more people Kitchen was really well setup 2 full bathrooms helped with the morning rush Backyard fruit trees and gardens in general were bonus
Review 38:The size was a disappointment, it was the smallest place I have ever stayed in and to be comfortable you need to be skin and bones.
Review 39:It was cute and quirky but unless you are a size tiny, it was too small. Only a small hard bench seat that didn't fit 2 people. Otherwise a nice place and nice gardens.
Review 40:could not fault it
Review 41:The atmosphere It was a very enjoyable weekend the Host was very knowledge and entertaining.
Review 42:Space in the cabin just a bit limited, even there was storage under the bed.

Review 83:Close to town, quiet area, novelty accommodation, pleasant 'acting' host, reasonable price.
Review 84:Double bed was a lower bunk not a comfortable sleep for us I would think a nice queen size bed would attract return customers And a working tv
Review 85:Great quiet location Walk anywhere
Review 86:How our room was kind of part of the main house. Felt non private and we're uncomfortable hearing owners personal space and gurgling plumbing.
Review 87:It was roomy
Review 88:The gypsy caravans are really lovely and one of the best places we stayed at within this price range. Very clean and comfortable, a great little kitchen area and cosy bedroom. Very well designed to make the best use of the small space. Really enjoyed our one night stay here and would definitely stay again.
Review 89:*Decor (tassels upon tassels upon tassels EVERYWHERE you looked! Corn-inspired curtains (apparently supposed to look like Aussie wildflowers) with matching bed spread, pillows, tiles, shower screen and toilet cistern....*It was a stinking hot day outside and upon check in (4pm), we arrived to an even hotter cabin. Air con wasn't on, place was dark and uninviting.*Owner seemed rushed/scripted on arrival and we felt like he just wanted to get it over with.*Description which I booked under was '2 bedroom apartment'. We got a half a cabin SHARED WITH OWNER. After running through his speel, he then told us we were not able to access three doors as this was his area. He then opened a door off a kitchen and retreated to his area. Walls were very thin, no doubt he could hear us all kakking ourselves over the abundance of tassels in the place!*the lounge area was tiny. Apparently can accommodate up to five people but obviously not all at the same time.*there were cobwebs everywhere and dead flies on bathroom vanity and dead bug on curtain. A large cockroach even made a surprise early morning appearance (very unsettling whilst getting ready for bed...*Beds were not comfortable at all. There weren't even proper mattresses on them, just foam cuts or something similar to a futon sofa mattress. Pillows had buttons on them and even the plain ones were uncomfortable, hard, and had dog hairs on them.*the place was not filthy but not the highest standard. There was sauce(?) on the kitchen table when we had breakfast the next morning. The coffee supplied was in a jar and quite old. The water jug in fridge had black floaties.*the bedroom doors had locks not working and taped up.Overall, a real disappointment. So overdone. Would be nice if place was stripped back and modernised with neutral curtains and bedspreads-this would make such a difference. A bit more care in the way of cleanliness would also go a long way.
Review 90:Hmmm.... What DID we like?! Seriously, this place is overdone! So tacky it's laughable! I felt dirty in this place! The back garden WAS quite nice but overdone in places. It did have good shower pressure..
Review 91:The seat at the table was very uncomfortable when you wanted to relax at the end of a busy day and wifi would have been handy - minor issues in a good experience.
Review 92:Convenient location, peaceful, quaint, different experience in a gypsy wagon.
Review 93:Jamie and I loved the Gypsy Van infact we can't wait to come and stay again it was like stepping back in time you have done a fantastic job building the vans it was like a home away from home it was exciting to stay there we loved it
Review 94:Dark and dingy, very cold, very dusty. Shower had not been cleaned and empty shampoo bottles left on shower base from previous tenant. Ensuite basin hadn't been cleaned and remnants of toothpaste still present. Could hear owner in adjoining room, walls to thin.
Review 95:Loved the location, gardens were very nice.
Review 96:didnt like the check in time, needs to be earlier dooner needs to be bigger, should have a queen on a doulbe bed need insuction on who to use the tv and a list of the chanells
Review 97:the cabins were cute nice short work to a very cute pub
Review 98:Beds were way too small. Was a bit tight for space. Ceilings were very low which was difficult for my tall husband. Couldn't get some of the lamps to work as we couldn't locate the power sockets but that wasn't such a big deal.
Review 99:The quirkiness and the gardens. Had everything we needed. Was far enough from the city centre hussle and bussle but close enough to be able to walk there. The location was lovely. Had a great feel to it.
Review 100:I wasn't aware that it was shared accommodation the part we booked but that was my fault not reading it correctly But we had no issues at all had a great time

Review 111:It was so quaint and really memorable. Little extras that we didn't expect were a nice touch eg. Body wash and biscuits
Review 112:With three rooms and lots of bunks - having one standard double/queen bed would have made more sense.
