Review 1：The facilities are available but unfortunately they are not well maintained. It might be due to short of staff. But a top hotel chain such as this should have not let the quality of facility and cleanliness slip. One scary thought was the swimming pool lights were dangling in the pool. (Electric shock hazard??)

Review 2：Reception staff, Reception Manager and the Bar Manager were friendly and attentive when we were not very satisfied with the initial welcome. (Rooms were not clean!!) They quickly reacted by giving us an upgrade and made sure that our remaining stay was enjoyable. We had good meals in the Chinese restaurant. Good dim sum.

Review 3：The only thing was that it was difficult to get away from the hotel without own transport. The hotel taxi company charges way over the odds to its captive clientele. Apart from that, I was at a loss to understand the various negative comments I have seen and which had worried me once I'd made my booking. This is not a 5 star property, but it is a very nice one and I would definitely recommend it within its price bracket - and hope to go again

Review 4：Lovely, large, room with attractive balcony onto pool and sea view. Very friendly, welcoming and efficient staff. Great pool, gardens and beach right in front. Excellent traditional massage in spa. Good food, reasonably priced. Pleasant and relaxing atmosphere all round

Review 5：The hotel must have seen better days some years ago. It was relatively clean, but the room had mildew in the bathroom and on the ceiling, and everything's starting to show its age. Housekeeping was inconsistent, the staff would forget things like towels one day, a toilet roll the next, bottles of water the next. There were also the odd cases of a towel or a sheet still having stains on it. A call to the front desk usually took care of it quickly, but after the first couple of times, we just stopped bothering. A lot of the prices seemed too steep for the services offered.

Review 6：The staff was very polite and helpful. The food was really good, with a wide selection for breakfast and dinner. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful, even though the sea gets muddy during monsoon season. The hotel is very child-friendly, for families traveling with kids.

Review 9：1.Staff not at all helpful - did not explain anything about the resort when we checked in 2.too many children in the pools meaning we had to run for cover 3. the pub/club had a yelling woman singing in it meaning you could not hold any form of communication within 50 metres of her 4. the lobby bar shut early each night whether you liked it or not - staff here were the friendliest 5. whole hotel is a throwback to the 1970's and needs serious money spent on it. as an example the balconies had very old sliding doors which needed to be man-handled by a man - women would not be strong enough to operate them!! 6. the food was average and when there was a sea food bbq the lady who was bbq-ing only wanted the guests to have what she had bbq'd despite us wanting some different fish which we could only assume was there for display only!!

Review 11：staff was never friendly. e.g. : i called to order some crossants at tea time to my room. i was rudely told to come down to coffee shop. i cannot call it 4 star. surely 3 star of less. i travel this part of the world so much. most of the nobs of the baths in the toiler was coming out. the towels looks old. i will not recomend swiss garden kuantan to any one else.

When I asked for it then they added whiskey. -not worth for around 600MYR per night for the family room with this kind of service

Review 31：Really upset on the front desk / check in counter staff on duty prior my check in , room was not ready until 4.30pm without any courtesy attention from front desk staff . Booking was made 1 month before check in date with special request of connecting room as I m travelling with your children's. But the front counter staff still unable and not being helpful to allocate the room required , worst part I have to be separated with my young children's. I've received check out note at my door the night before check out date and mention guest have to check out have to sharp at 12.00pm and any extension will be charge RM100/ hour. Its really unfair to customer who only got the room ready at 4.30pm upon check in without any proper attention and fair treatment from the staff or neither from your management. I never had this type of experiences with other hotel or resort .

Review 56：We stayed in a family room with a King bed and 2 single beds, for the price we paid we could have gotten a a connecting room instead with a proper bathroom for each room rather than having to share the bathroom which was a major inconvenient. The most annoying thing was the family room is llcated right above the pub and the noise was unbearable, none of caught any sleep till past 2:45 after I called to complain to the manager.

Staff tried to make things right - we were given nicer rooms after we were checked in as the original rooms were outdated, overlooked the car park, and were on the smoking floor (even though we had requested non-smoking).

Wifi in the room need to pay if i wish want to use wifi. So embarassing because i stay at budget hotel no need to pay for that facilities. There are plenty of local restaurants outside the hotel's compound. Good food and with plenty of choices. Cherating is not a long drive if you would like to visit the Turtle Sanctuary. We missed it because it was close on the day that we planned to go.

Review 88：With deluxe room garden view, small bed size, not valueable for the money. The night we check in 29/08/2015, the hotel blackout. You may imagine i was took a shower with the light on & off. My daughters scared & the worst part is the hotel management push the visitor to check out on time 12pm or they will charge RM100 per hour late. The result, too many visitor check out at 12pm & we queue for up to 1 hour while my old parents & my twins baby waiting in the lobby. Very regret staying in the Swiss Garden Kuantan. Now i know why other hotel already fully booked but Swiss Garden still got room available. Swiss Garden is the last option if we 'desperate' to go to holiday.

Review 90：There's no laundry bag, a must-have item in a hotel room, bathroomis in a bad shape and time to change the old bed. Not enough generatorto back up the entire hotel during a black out situation left us indarkness for a gud 30 mins. For rm500+ paid for one nite stay in astandard room is definetely not worth it. Review 102：Staff: Very unfriendly, irresponsible, rude, There are many incidents for my above rating but I would like to highlight one such incident. I had a meeting at 8.30 a.m at 20 min taxi ride from the resort. I requested for taxi service at 7.30 am, hotel taxi service said 15 mins its coming but taxi came after 40 min and another staff gave that taxi to other passenger who requested for taxi 30 minutes later than me. The hotel staff ask 5-10 ringgit commission from taxi drivers( this was mentioned by taxi driver who took me to my meeting place and the last day to the airport). Finally after 1hr, I got the taxi at 8.35 a.m and reached to the meeting 9 a.m and so I lost the business opportunity for the irresponsible behavior of the hotel staff. Cleanliness: The room bedsheet does not look white it has turned gray from white and with blood spot at bed sheet and pillow covers. The blanket is bobbled and look and smell like they never clean. Hotel arena look like 1 star hotel does not look like 4 star hotel. Wifi: Such a poor wifi that I can't imagine such poor wifi in 2015. I do understand its complimentary wifi but it was like finding sweet sport across the resort where my iPhone 6 can catch the wifi. Inside room wifi was available only at the door. I had to put chair at the door to connect to meagre wifi service. Even phone showing wifi connected but wifi data transfer automatically disable and I have to reconnect again to the wifi after rebooting my phone. I have traveled over 40 countries and stayed in over 100 hotels from 1 star to 7 star but I have never found such a poor 4 star hotel. If I have to rate this hotel then it should get 1 star hotel for bad service throughout every area of hospitality.

Review 103：Food at Swiss Deli(one of the three restaurant inside the resort) was excellent. It was expensive 7-8 times than local food but it was worth paying 40 Ringgit for the food and 15-20 Ringgit for the drinks er meal.

Review 104：Could have given a better score if not for the very nasty bed bug bites that my husband and 2 children suffered. My daughter's case was particularly bad with more than 15 bites, leaving her hands and face swollen, extremely itchy and unbearable. Was very disappointed especially for the room rates that we paid. Can't imagine how long ago the beds were thoroughly cleaned??!!!

Review 121：Hotels nowadays allow u to check in as late as 3pm. Even with that, ours was 2 hours later than that, 5pm! Swiss-Garden lack housekeeping staff, that couldn't cope with big volume of visitors. Reception told us to wait, but didn't call us when our room was ready. We only found out when we asked! One staff (bell boy) couldn't even speak english, couldn't tell us where the bathroom was. Sheets were dirty even after we waited for so long. Floor felt sticky (melekit). Cleaning was not thoroughly done. Book cabinets could use an update.

Review 131：The beach was not dirty per se, but messy with litter. My husband and I picked up about two plastic bags of rubbish between the two of us - plastic wrappers, baby's bottle, balloons, plastic shards. I think as part of the resort's CSR, you can assign somebody to go and pick up the rubbish daily. It only takes about 5 minutes. I didn't pay nearly RM500 per night to be frustrated by garbage on the beach. There were sandflies. I was bitten, but thankfully my kid and hubby were ok. Wifi was free for all our devices, but we had to enquire about free Wifi. Staff should have offered us wifi without asking. Would I return? No, because it wasn't value for money. There are newer properties coming up in the area (the Mandurah Hotel looks promising and Samsuria Residence had a much cleaner beach - I would have returned there if TV and wifi had been stronger. Tanjong Jara offers full board and 5* luxury for about RM300 more per room per night). Customers are spoilt for choice so this hotel should clean up its act.

Review 132：The hotel was old but very clean and well-maintained. Staff were pretty efficient and polite and friendly. Breakfast was pretty decent - we went early by 7.30am to beat the crowds. Parking was limited (school holiday season) and there was a steep climb to the lobby up the stairs.

Review 133：We felt uneasy with the staff at the pool towel counter. He should respond really well with the visitors.

Review 134：Great location for a short escape with family, very calm environment and easy excess for great cheap fresh seafood!

Review 135：For family room, the toilet should be situated in the middle of room rather than in a corner. That reduces the inconvenience of disturbing the members when someone needs to go to toilet especially in the middle of night.

Review 136：1. The toilet bowl overflow. It was at 9pm. Called maintenance. They fixed it and called the housekeeping to clean it. 2. Quality of Samsara Spa is declining. Probably the Masseuse are not experienced enough. 3. Too many flies at the breakfast area. Asked for candle, did not have any in stock. 4. You can hear the loud music from the Malibu bar after midnight even if you are staying at the 4th floor (the highest) 5. Funny, I did a last minute booking. Tried to call the hotel directly and they say it was fully booked. Then I went to Booking.com and I got the room booked...I guess the front desk person at the time was just too lazy too entertain customer.

Review 137：I have been coming to this hotel from time to time for the last 15 years...It is not too bad and it has never been excellent. My kids enjoy the pool and the beach. Blossom still serve great Chinese cuisine. Still one of the great place to stay in Kuantan if you want the "resort" feeling.

Review 138：My first room problem with bed, sound kriok2 for every movement. After change the second room the bed is ok but sliding door problem. Demmit.

Review 140：Didn't follow booking request for double bed and never care to inform of non availability, room very dark because half of the light bulbs not working, tv reception is poor thus blurry. Water not hot enough.

Review 141：Bad food arrangement, dirty restaurant, management don't care their guests, suck... Was trapped in lift, kid inside, 7 persons inside, emergency bell not function, press 5 min also no respond, unsafe.
