Reviews for Canaan Spa Hotel

Review 1:A large crowd of older adults in the lobby is what greeted us when we arrived...we wondered: are we in the wrong place? But by next day, they were gone--a bus group perhaps? Also the view from our room was in the far distance, the mountains--lovely . In the short distance, an old truck--left for garbage-- in a field--not very appealing.

Review 2:The classic Israeli beauty, and the care taken to keep the hotel beautiful. The pool area was so serene and lovely.

Review 3:Shame not to have wifi in the rooms. But they do have it on the ground floor public areas.

Review 4:The double beds of the mini suites are very comfortable. The views from the balconies are worth sitting and enjoying. The staff are very helpful, friendly and know the area well.

Review 5:Out-of-the way location, comfortable rooms, some wonderful views, reliable food, relaxed feel, empty swimming pool (out of season). Wi-fi in lobby only, enforcing rest elsewhere.

Review 6:The room for disable was not well equipped. No handles in the bathroom.( if you get handles there is only a bathtube,no separate shower)Few steps without handles to get to the tea room.No water jets in the pool as they used to be.

Review 7:the whole hotel is very quiet and relaxing.Food is good and served from 7 AM to 9 PM with short breaks.

Review 8:Dirty dishes not cleared away from outside hotel. Cats walking all over the plates eating left over food

Review 9:Size of bedroom choice of food in restaurant

Review 10:Food is average Israeli hotel fare, white rice, potatoes, pasta. Not spa food. No interesting salads. Service is unimpressive as is the Spa.

Review 11:Quiet. Comfortable bed. Generally pleasant.

Review 12:No proper bar to get served a drink on the terrace - what a shame! Poor quality manicure / pedicure Staffing levels too low, often no one around to ask questions to Wifi didn't work

Review 13:The 25m pool is good, you can have a proper swim - with a great view over the lake of Galilee. Included food is reasonable quality and plentiful. Rooms are comfortable with nice towels and robes

Review 14:Staff did not speak English. Didnt get a map to help us learn where things were. Lumpy pillows! Handicapped access to spa was complicated to find..not clearly labeled where ramps were to be found.

Review 15:Food was good and plentiful. Room was nice, clean and roomy. Turkish bath was exceptional. Pool was lovely. Etia the massage therapist was perfect. Water yoga was great. Tea Bar was wondefu

Review 16:There was a poor welcome and the bedding was shabby and beyond reasonable use. No chairs on the balcony which overlooked a rubbish dump. Our room was not cleaned the day after our late arrival and when we offered 50% for that day we were accused of not having the means to settle the account. The police were called and they were exonerated us.

Review 17:Very little.

Review 18:The room had a broken toilet, broken lock and no phone line. We needed to walk to reception multiple times until eventually they changed room. the spa fumbled our reservation and had to change it a few times.

Review 19:The pool was nice. the food was plentiful, and most of it very good.

Review 40:Wifi not in rooms

Review 41:Relaxing Food Pool

Review 42:Only wifi near desk. Poor everywhere else.

Review 43:The food need a bit of improvment Specially on saturday lunch

Review 44:The spa The view The place The room 409 was wonderful

Review 45:The atmosphere, very calming, quiet, decor was nice, lectures were great.

Review 46:atmosphere, food, facilities.

Review 47:food', swimming pool with very cold water, everything need some kind of renovation (it was much better before 8 years ago)

Review 48:silence

Review 49:I didn't know I would have to specifically ask for a room with one large bed versus two put together. The hallways and lobby were cold - almost as if the heat was not turned on in those areas on purpose? I think this hotel was nice but expensive for what you received.

Review 50:The general atmosphere was nice. The hamam and pool were attractive features. The spa services were good.

Review 51:Entertainment was a sad experience, it should cease. Coffee and tea area closes at specific times of the day, this was weird and should remain open at all times.

Review 52:Turkish bath was amazing and the pool was a great size. Treatment was excellent, my therapist was very, very good. Food was plentiful and quite good.

Review 53:Many members if the staff did not speak English. This is a problem in the hotel business. Many signs and documents were also only available in Hebrew. Saturday lunch was dairy and that, in my opinion, was a big let down. The masseuse was decent but lacked social skills.

Review 54:Room was incredible. The price was incredible considering it was full board. The facilities were excellent. The staff was very nice. Dinner and breakfast were incredible with a wide variety of food. Great spa facilities! Decent massage.

Review 55:We wish it would be Wi-Fi in the room. Inconvenient to go to the lobbywith computer and work there and go back to the room to put it away. Also we would like to have some Russian tv channels.

Review 56:In restaurant and bar we like the selection of food, cleanness, service.Excellent management.

Review 57:-Carpets were not clean -hallways to sauna etc from pool dangerouslyslippery -food was so/so--fish was overcooked (left out on thebuffet x hrs) -deserts--not very imaginative

Review 58:-Pool and spa very good -salads & variety good

Review 59:Cards attached to food in dining room, giving names , should not bewritten by hand but typed or printed. It is very unprofessional. Toiletseats and covers in rooms are the cheapest I have ever seen, certainlynot appropriate for a luxury hotel.Take a look at Yaarot Hacarmel to getan idea how things should be. If you improved the few items I haveitemizes, you would vastly improve the quality of your spa...and make itmuch more attractive.

Review 60:Very good food but too much noise which came from, ironically, the staff. The workers shout at each other in the dining room and lobby making fora very unpleasant environment especially sine we are told :No cellphonesNochildren under 14 ostensibly to create a quiet spa like setting. Andthe spas own workers ruin this. Not to mention that they smoke in publicareas where there is absolutely no smoking> I guess what applies to theguests does not apply to the staff!!

Review 61:There is no address for the location of the spa. There was no phonenumber on the receipt for the spa, only for the booking office who wereannoyed that I rang and who could not give me driving instructions fromwithin Sefat. We spent over an hour driving around the streets of Sefatlooking for you. We are not Hebrew speakers and found navigating thestreets difficult. The front office staff have poor English and did nothave a map of Sefat to give or sell to us so we missed out on seeing thesights. If you want tourists to visit, you have to offer basics likeEnglish speaking staff, maps and knowledge of the facilities of the spa.Honestly, I will not be coming back to you.

Review 65:The bed was terribly uncomfortable---I couldnt sleep and was tired the next day--the whole purpose was to rest

Review 66:I liked the view and the price

Review 67:We like the quiet the atmospher the food the pool

Review 68:nightlife was for an older crowd.

Review 69:the food was great! pool was nice!
