Reviews for Casa Vacanze Elianto

Review 1:Beautiful spot with gorgeous view. Desk clerks spoke no English but we managed. Not sure what happened to breakfast. We signed up but by 8:30 there was no sign of any food so we checked out and were on lir way. They helped us find a local laundry which worked out perfectly. Would definitely return and recommend.

Review 2:The room smelt (previous occupants must have smoked in room - not good if you suffer from asthma like me). A bit far away from shops centre if you don't have transport

Review 3:View

Review 4:You have to have a car as the local transportation is very bad.

Review 5:Very close to the sea. The personnel and the hotel owner are great! Thank you very much for everything you did for our comfort and see you next year!

Review 6:We had been to Elianto five years ago and loved it then . I just feel the rooms could be updated now . I would still go back as its has a great location and definitely value for money . You have to make sure you know the bus timetable to and from Anzio as there can be some wait .Thankfully there is a supermarket near the Elianto and some local shops otherwise it would be a struggle if you did not have a car .The staff are very helpful . Loved our stay.

Review 7:We loved being right on the beach and that there is a lift to take us down . The beautiful sea view . the expansive apartment which probably could have taken a family of four . A table and chairs outside the apartment so we could eat outside .

Review 8:No wi-fi, no breakfast

Review 9:Close to beach

Review 10:the whole object needs repair

Review 11:excellent location outstanding terrace easy entry to beach

Review 12:Big terrace with a great view to the ocean. Staying at the hotel feels very special also due to its design and unique charm.

Review 13:Restaurants and beach were within walking distance

Review 14:No washing machine. No oven. Hot water sometimes. No taxis in area. Hotel arranged taxi driver for last day who overcharged us. I would have been happier paying the hotel staff to drive us to station. Local pub only opens 7.30pm. (Good food though). Going through booking.com is a good idea. No hidden extra charges. Otherwise they do charge seperately for gas and electric, tv and air conditioner. Wifi only at reception and very slow, dont bother downloading anything.

Review 15:You can take a lift straight down to beach. Very quiet. You can hear the sea. Roof top and views are beautiful.

Review 16:The hotel is rather far from the city of Anzio, about 1 h walk from the center with shopping and restaurants. The is now any transport except taxi to go there. The nearest ATM to receive cash is at 20 -30 minutes walk at the Post Office in Anzio Colonia rw station. The nearest supermarket is at 7 minutes walk but it is better to pay cash there cause if you pay by card you pay a commission. The hotel is more suitable for old people or for Italians who come there for week-end with their cars.

Review 17:The most positive is that the hotel is situated just on the beach! The little kitchen is rather well equipped. The stuff is very polite and helpful. Melania, a youn girl at reception gave us two towels for free.

Review 18:We booked a room for four and had two or three towels to work with for the nights we were there. They charge for beach towels, but I believe that is stated in the fine print so we brought our own. Be very wary of the taxi services offered at the hotel. We forgot it was Sunday and that the train to Rome would be on a limited operating schedule. We had about 45 minutes to get there and by the time we were in the taxi the driver informed us we would not be able to make the train and was hesitant to even try. Looking back now, I doubt this as the receptionist had stated it was a 5-10 minute walk. If I remember correctly we paid 70 Euro for him to drive us to our hotel near the Ciampino airport with many detours along the way including a stop where he told us we could take our bags out and that he'd return for us in a half hour. Yeah, right. It was very shady and I'm curious what the hotel would have to say in response to their "suggested driver" of the trip, if anything.

Review 19:After running into problems at our previous hotel we arrived at Casa Vacanze Elianto at about 2am and the hostess was helpful in getting us situated. The beach was beautiful and we had it all to ourselves, which was amazing. The war museum/cemetery was very large and would take an entire day to complete. Sadly we didn't give ourselves enough time to do it.

Review 20:Staff did not speak English. I was given sheets to make up the bedsmyself, the look on my face must have said it all because the girl saidshe would then make them. The rooms were not ready when we arrived. Wewere not there early and it was clearly stated the rooms we needed. Thelift needed a specific key and only went to the beach. One of our roomswas down a lot of stairs. If you have trouble with stairs, do not bookthis hotel. We had to pay of towels, which I was not aware of. They werecharged at €8 each towel. We were not told of the amount until after wehad used them. Reception was not manned all the time, so when we neededsomething we would have to wait in reception for someone to turn up.

Review 21:Was right on the beach. We were there out of season. With a little tlcthis would be a beautiful place to stay. Beautiful view out over thebeach and coastline.

Review 22:Reception doesn't speak English. No food store close to hotel. It is only comfortable if yo go by car. No internet access (only at reception).

Review 23:Hotel is located right on the beach. Good seaview. Direct access to the beach.

Review 24:The only thing I would say is next time we would hire a car as the areaisn't suitable for pedestrians. Sometimes no pavements and theItalian driving is fast so that was a worry especially with young kids.Every day we walked to the train station uphill and that takes about 20-30 minutes. We went in April and buses were rare. That's not thehotel's fault though!

Review 25:Couldn't fault the apartment. We were a family of 4 and theapartment had a great wrap around balcony right over the beach. The kidsbeds were separated from our bedroom by a door. Basic cooking facilities- no oven but a hob and utensils. Being British we could have done witha kettle but used a pan to boil water so that was fine. The people were friendly and helpful even with the language barrier and we found the place clean. Location elevated over the beach was good as all we could hear was the sound of sea - no traffic noise so had great sleep every night.

Review 26:no taxi service in Anzio

Review 27:the staff were most helpful and very friendly. the hotel and location was perfect for what i wanted for the vacation. i would not recommend Anzio for pedestrian tourists, due to lack of public transport, but my stay in casa vacance elliante was superb.

Review 28:Place could have done with a coat of paint...or the advert photo changed to show the current state of the place.

Review 29:Sea Side location

Review 30:missing microwave oven and a tea cattle. Staff present between 9:00-17:00 without informing us.

Review 31:Large apartment on the beach.

Review 32:Could use a refreshment.

Review 33:Location was perfect.
