Reviews for Villa Scannagallo
Review 1:5 minutes in a car from the Carnevale. Address didn't show up in GPS.
Review 2:Extremely nice family run B&B. Plenty of space for the price.
Review 3:There was nothing to dislike.
Review 4:A beautiful renovation of a farmhouse built in 1450 ? Great facilties (pool & hot tub), and beatiful, clean apartment. But the most amazing thing was meeting Antonietta & Sandro. Great people !!. The breakfasts served by Antonietta were superb, and the most generous breakfast of any place we stayed in Italy. I particularly enjoyed the conversations, even though we each struggled with the other's language. We hope to get back there one day soon, with more of our family and friends. Antonietta & Sandro, mille grazie !!!!!
Review 5:absolutely nothing
Review 6:The owners were super friendly - we felt like family members. Although we didnt speak Italian we had great conversations :) the breakfasts were very tasty and we enjoyed them very much. The location was very convenient - we visited several cities and almost all were nearby. The house is old and beautiful, we loved the furniture and the space. The place is also great for small kids - our daughter played a lot near the pool and jacuzzi. The place is magical and I highly recommend it. We miss it already.
Review 7:Antonietta was a wonderful host and we were treated like part of her family. The Villa is in a stunning location with beautiful gardens and view over rolling hills. There is a wonderful pool and hot tub where we enjoyed relaxing and taking in the view. The Villa is well located to visit Tuscan hill towns as well as Siena and Florence, although we would recommend hiring a car. The apartment that we stayed in was very comfortable - there was a separate kitchen and living room, wifi and a tv. Antonietta served a delicious breakfast each morning on the terrace and offered a great selection of meat, cheese, bread, cakes and biscuits! She always catered to our needs and cooked extra omelettes and chickpeas on certain days. Antonietta went out of her way to ensure that we had a good stay; she offered recommendations about places to visit and restaurants, arranged for our laundry to be done and helped us find a doctor and other local amenities. We do not speak Italian but we managed to communicate well with Antonietta using our limited Italian! We had a really wonderful stay at Villa Scannagallo and would highly recommend it to others.
Review 8:Not easy to find.
Review 9:This is a true Tuscan vacation. Beautiful Villa run by a delightfulcouple. They didn't speak any English and we didn't speak anyItalian and it all worked out. We bought their delicious wine and oliveoil, took a dip in the pool, played with the cute dog and enjoyed adelicious breakfast every morning.
Review 10:Breakfast could have been delivered "in a basket" instead of taking so much time of the staff to serve it in a separate breakfast room.
Review 11:Nice place, garden, pool, fire place.
Review 12:lovely house, wonderful owners. my children love the football and ping pong. we love the breakfast and the home made cakes. We highly recommend this place.
Review 13:Nik said it best. Google maps took us to the wrong place. Caused much gnashing of teeth -- wish we had read about the navigation problem earlier. Go there! but note Nik's directions. It really is simple to find.
Review 14:I agree with other travelers, this is a great place in Tuscany. Just minutes from our favorite restaurant - Della Lodola. Close to Cortona, Montepulciano, Sienna
