Review 1：I had 10 other cyclist in my tour group. Each member of my group was thrilled with the Edelwisse. Our breakfast was topnotch, the manager made special arrangements with a hotel across the street for dinner and a very fair price. This small (11 rooms) hotel is steps from bars, restaurants, shops (Spar for groceries, Lagazoi for clothing) and the best bicycle rental shop in the valley. The views from our balcony were incredible. Parking on site for our van and our bicycles easily fit in the basement ski room. This was my 5th visit to the Dolomiti and San Cassano is by far my favorite place to call home. I feel blessed we had 3 nights at the Edelwisse.
Review 2：The only downside to our stay was that even though it was a beautiful weekend in the Dolomites there was almost nothing open in the village. We had a hard time finding a place for dinner and had to drive up the road 5 kilometers to a campground. That was not the hotel's fault. It was the last weekend in September, so I suppose not high season.
Review 3：Beautiful little village. We only stayed one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We went on a two night trek up to some of the rifugios above San Cassiona. The staff let us keep our car parked with them and our bikes in their bike room. The room was fine, nothing too fancy. Great deck off of the room with outstanding views. Breakfast was plentiful.
Review 4：Upon arrival we could select a room with view of church and mountains. The staff made up the room for us as we waited rather than giving us a different, already made-up room. We enjoyed our 3 night stay very much. The village of Sankt Kassian is most centrally located for excursions to all regions of the Dolomites.
