Reviews for Akkotel-Boutique hotel
Review 1:Nothing critical. The parking near the entrance is small, they have another one, to get into it you need to come inside, and get a note. The building is old, and so the hotel, so the bed in the room and the room in general is also old.. It's not critical, but for this price i would expect a bit more design and newer furniture:) I had never been in another hotel in Acco, and this one have the best rating, so I suppose others are worth:)
Review 2:The location is great, the staff is extremely nice and the building is nice too.
Review 3:Although the room was clean, it was smelling bad. Like the interior could not dry. The smell also came out of the aircondition. I guess the price is so high because there are not many possibilities to stay for the night in Akko. And this hotel is maybe the best choice. And what does Boutique Hotel actually mean? There was nothing special with the room, no fancy furniture, no surprising specials.
Review 4:Great breakfast, very helpful reception stuff. Perfect situated. Free parking in front of the hotel.
Review 5:Breakfast was fair, room amenities were not great. Pillows were not comfortable, towels were thin, no conditioner only shampoo.
Review 6:Staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 7:The location of the hotel couldn't be beat. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The family who owns the hotel have done a beautiful job of restoring and preserving this 400-year old building.
Review 8:Poor equipment dor that price, no paper tissues , no pen in the room. A very few basic amenities in the bathroom. A boWler but no cups !
Review 9:Location is great Breakfast is good quality
Review 10:Everything was fine.
Review 11:The hotel is actually an integral part of the Akko city wall, therefore, a piece of history itself. All the usual facilities are in place.
Review 12:A very unique hotel with a fabulous location that provides a very special experience in this ancient city. An amazing interior, ambiance, clean, well managed with an attentive and very helpful front desk staff. A lovely full breakfast is provided. We highly recommend this hotel.
Review 13:A bit pricey, but totally worth it.
Review 14:The hotel is gorgeous. Has a lot of character & is located near all the action. Extremely helpful staff. A good mix of old & modern.
Review 15:The room was very dirty, with hairs in the bathtub upon our arrival, and someone's old lunch in our refrigeration. It is located in the older area of Acre, which is also predominately Muslim. It's also located close to a Mosque so their call to prayer can be heard evening and morning.
Review 16:The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 17:Close to attractions, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast with huge choice, great location in old city walls, cool room with shutters to keep out heat and light
Review 18:It is sad that the superb roof terrace (great view over the sea and walls) is not used.
Review 19:Excellent, well-run boutique hotel right in the centre of old Acre.
Review 20:the bedroom was drab and dark. Towels were thin and used. Breakfast was very poor indeed - there was the same OLD food for our 3 day stay.
Review 21:the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Review 22:Besides the kettle in each room, it would be nice to have also a few tea bags and a couple of cups...
Review 23:The people at the reception desk. The beauty of the whole building, the high-ceilings in the rooms beautifully ornamented, the care for details, the large and beautiful rooms. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Review 24:Nothing
Review 25:A beautiful hotel set in the wall of the old city surrounded by tradition charm of authentic old Arabic city. It offers a great comfortable base with a special feeling of comfort and charm perfectly located to shop walk explore dine and just soak up this special old city
Review 26:We where limited on world news
Review 27:If you are looking for the old city charm this is the place for you. You can walk everywhere safely and tour on your own. The food was awesome and the streets where charming
Review 28:The location within the old city walls of Akko (Acre) makes this an especially memorable location. It's a nice combination of the old fashioned and up to date (easy parking and excellent Wi-fi). The breakfast is outstanding!
Review 29:There was nothing I didn't like.
Review 30:The hotel is built into an ancient wall and is a converted gate house. This is a family run hotel with warmth, consideration and great charm,an unusual experience.
Review 31:It just doesn't cut it when it comes to price. Wifi barely works and when it does not for long. At minimum there should be Bathsheet size towels but robes, slippers etc. are a must along with kettle/coffe options, bottled water in the fridge, bottle opener. The room looked as it it had been raided but this was standard when I enquired!
Review 32:Lovely building with parking on the door step, family rooms are just great for fitting everyone in and you can meander through the old streets and water front immediaty to some of the best seafood restaurants in Isreal. Staff a delight and breakfast very good to start the day.
Review 33:Easy location in Akko as you can walk to everything. Breakfast included and very accommodating staff. I would stay there again. My parents have some mobility issues, due to age, and it was good to have an elevator in the building. Bonus of staying inside a "city wall".
Review 34:Front staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast had many options, parking is available right outside front door, location is great within old city and can explore before tourist buses arrive.
Review 35:The loft, which could sleep 2 people was really made for the longitudinally impaired. My son hit his head on the ceiling and could not stand up
Review 36:Very comfortable hotel with an attentive staff. The room was comfortable. The location great and the breakfast adequate. Would stay here again.
Review 37:The breakfast was adequate but lacked that extra "something" to fit in with the uniqueness of the hotel.
Review 38:Extremely friendly and helpful staff, great location, room fully equipped with everything necessary for a restful stay. Our room had real character. We were directed to good eating places by our host.Adjacent parking was very helpful.
Review 39:Coffee was not amazing at breakfast
Review 40:The staff and management were lovely, the free parking also great for the centre of town. The breakfast was great with lots of fresh choices.
Review 41:The hotel was conveniently located in the Old City. It's amenities, attention to detail, and excellent breakfast made it a great value. The owner was very accommodating of guests schedules' and needs. We felt very welcomed in a personal way.
Review 42:The staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was beautifully actually part of the city walls and ancient stones incorporated into the modern rooms no reason to stay anywhere else if you go to acre
Review 43:This hotel is a little gem, but sadly the neighbourhood in which it is situated seems to think that visitors will come a long way specially to see piles of rubbish and litter everywhere. It's not the hotel's fault at all, but I really don't know what the leaders of the town think they are playing at. Unless they start to change attitudes and clean up all the mess, I doubt very much that tourism will flourish in this town in the way that it should.
Review 44:This boutique hotel is very well placed in the old wall of the ancient town of Akko. For this reason its facilities are limited - for example it obviously has no garden and it also lacks a lounge - but it makes up for this by the courteous and very helpful attitudes of its owners and staff and the clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. If I wanted to stay again in this town I wouldn't hesitate to make this my first choice.
Review 45:The free breakfast didn't start until 8am so I never was able to have it.
Review 46:Very nice hotel and friendly service. Great location in the center of Old Town. Easy walking to restaurants and shops.
Review 47:The window isolation was poor. It was finally noisy which contasts with th thickness of the walls.
Review 48:The charm of the hotel. The spacious room. The kindness of the staff. The well presented breakfast buffet.
Review 49:It was all great!
Review 50:This old hotel is built into the old crusader walls of Akko! It was a bit tricky navigating the narrow streets in a car, but once we arrived there was parking right outside the front door.
Review 51:Kinda old. But that was fitting. Kinda noisy. But it quiet quiet by 11pm. Walking around old city at night a little scary.
Review 52:Great being right in the wall. Spacious rooms. Not new or modern, but comfortable enough. Noisy in the evening by quietness down. But you are in the middle of a city with many men and hardly any women out at night. So being a woman alone with two girls was a bit creepy.
Review 53:There is a lot of noise from the street both day and night. The wifi did not work well most of the time.
Review 54:Central location in the middle of the Old City. The receptionist Rawia is absolutely lovely and very helpful. At arrival, there were no coffee making facilities in our room, but upon request Rawia promptly delivered this to us. The plentiful breakfast buffet has lots of local specialties.
Review 55:noisy party outside in old city which lasted until 11:30 PM. If you're not an early sleeper no problem.
Review 56:very good service and hotel. Nice breakfast.
Review 57:While it was plentyful buffet I think the service at breakfast could have been a little bit smarter, clearing away used plates from the table ,for example
Review 58:A very delicious breakfast buffet and I liked the decor and layout of the bedrooms. The location of the hotel too led one into the heart of the old walled town
Review 59:We had a car and parking was tricky during certain parts of the day, but the owner was very helpful finding a parking spot for us.

Review 63:Location great, very helpful friendly staff. Hotel very clean and breakfast amazing. The city is a very interesting place to visit, fascinating history. A good base for exploring surrounding area.
Review 64:There was nothing to dislike about the hotel and staff
Review 65:I realy liked the decor in the bedrooms, curtains ,shaded blinds, cushions and the four poster bed , The breakfast buffet to was very pleasing.
Review 66:Difficulties with A/C controls in 2 rooms. Tiny, thin bath towels. Bathroom not entirely clean. Could afford real orange juice for breakfast, no?
Review 67:Location and friendliness of staff. Uniqueness.
Review 68:Wifi- worked in some parts, it was slow.
Review 69:Everything was good with the excepction of wifi. Only worked in the seating room but not in the bedroom. Nice hosts, good breakfast, big room.
