Reviews for Sunset Hotel
Review 1:V good location - 2 min to the visitor centre, supermarket downstairs, wifi marginal in the rooms. Breakfast served early to allow early entry to Petra. Local restaurants expensive so better off up the hill in Wadi Mousa.
Review 2:There is no air condition or fan in the room, so it was very difficult for me to sleep in the hot weather. The breakfast wasn't that good either.
Review 3:The proximity to Petra gate.
Review 4:No extra outlets in the room. One of my friends is a larger guy, he didn't really fit in his room's shower.
Review 5:Close to petra. Value priced. Clean sheets and towels.
Review 6:My room didn't have a tv and the only outlet in the room was a type that I haven't seen before.
Review 7:Comfy bed. Clean linen. Very close to the Petra gate.
Review 8:- wifi only at the reception
Review 9:- location is excellent very close to Petra visitor entrance jst walk backward after movenpick hotel - friendly staff and helpful, on my last day I was looking for a bus just to go back early to Amman. He explained and asked his friend to drop me at the bus station. If no bus he would take me back with him. - grocery shop jst underneath the hotel - room is big enough , warm water working fine. - restaurant walking distance along the street. - exchange money is nearby the hotel Overall are perfect, I had a nice time there
Review 10:It needs some attention. The place is very neglected. Ok if you're a kid looking for a cheap place to crash.
Review 11:Proximity to Petra and restaurants. It was inexpensive, and you get what you pay for. Shabby without the chic. More like a backpacker place if you need a crash pad.
Review 12:The cleanliness of the bathrooms. Extremely basic breakfast.
Review 13:Location for Petra was excellent a 3 min walk into the visitors centre.
Review 14:No cheap restaurant near hotel.
Review 15:Just 3min. to Petra.
Review 16:Location. Value for money. Staff.
Review 17:The bathroom floor kept pooling water from leaky plumbing
Review 18:Near to Petra entrance
Review 19:Nice location and breakfast
Review 20:bathroom window not possible to open - it was broken in 4 pieces which have been put back together with a ducktape
Review 21:Perfect location, very friendly and helpful staff, room clean
Review 22:value/quality nexus biased toward overpriced. breakfast was distinctly lacking by jordanian standards.
Review 23:great location. front staff friendly when asked questions. generally ok.
Review 24:Did not find Internet/Wifi on the room, but it does not matter so much as its in the lobby.
Review 25:Excellent location close to the Gate of Petra. Clean, comfortable and good value for money
Review 26:The bathroom is not good. Water splashes everywhere. The sink is too small and the shower setup is not great. And water was cold. No hot water.
Review 27:It was good for the money. The location is stellar.
Review 28:WIFI wasn't working whilst I was there and although the manager allowed me to use his computer it would have been better if I could have used my phone. The hot water didn't work when I first got there. The staff did fix it for me but for some weird reason I couldn't get the shower to turn on afterwards which was annoying. By this point it was midnight and all I wanted to do was sleep. Breakfast was ok although could have done with some hot drinks.
Review 29:The staff were lovely and allowed me to check in earlier than planned. I had emailed them the week before to book me in for the Petra by night trip which they did. They didn't charge me any extra for this which most other hotels I've seen have. Location is great as it's just 2mins down the road to the Petra entrance.
Review 30:Really it was all good. There was some sort of water leak that caused a great deal to cover the floor when we showered, but we told the manager and got a squeegee and extra towels and it was fine. I'm sure he would have changed our room if we'd asked, but it wasn't a big deal.
Review 31:This hotel is a great deal; staff were super helpful; it's a 3 min. walk from the Petra visitors center; breakfast, basic but serviceable, was included; room was large with plenty of space to spread out; it's right above a small grocery for snacks and water; beds are comfy and the room was clean. If you're looking for an inexpensive option and are ok with things like your bed not being made for you, this is a fabulous choice. I would definitely return.
Review 32:Great location , price and enthusiastic service. There is a grocery store at the 1st. floor provide everything with reasonable price. Highly recommend~~
Review 33:Mostly ok. Perhaps a Wi-Fi connection or better European tvavailability. But for one night - no problem
Review 34:Location as far as needs required. Close to restaurants and PetraVisitor's cente
Review 35:You can't beat this hotel for value!!! The managers and owners are so incredibly helpful. Rooms are CLEAN, and the location is SUPERB. Don't spend all your money at the high-end places, instead stay here, you'll have FUN and you'll also some extra cash to buy some more of those great bargains at Petra!!!!
Review 36:smoking in the lobby; smoke that traveled up from the lobby up the stairs to the 2nd floor rooms; water leakage after taking a shower (could use more towels to mop up the wetness)
Review 37:spacious room and bathroom; budget hotel in Petra that is very close to the Petra gate; close to restaurants; good breakfast with hard boiled eggs; strong wifi in the lobby; many outlets in the room;
Review 38:The room looks a bit old but provided that it's a budget option around the area we are fine for it.
Review 39:A budget hotel located on the main street and close to the entrance of Petra, which is definitely preferred after a long day walk in the ancient city. Wifi is available in lobby; heater doesn't work but the blanket is enough to keep one warm (we stay here in March); there's hot water for shower and housekeeping service is available upon request. Breakfast starts at 6.30am so it's good for those who wish to enter Petra in the early morning. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Review 40:The manager is a bit grumpy and gives the impression that you disturb him each time you talk to him or ask for an information. No hot water during 4 nights/days even after telling it, no improvement. The breakfast is always the same and nothing is fresh.
Review 41:Its location : very close to Petra site, which is good after a full day walking all over the pink city.
Review 42:The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel itself has all the necessary basic facilities - clean rooms, good working heating, hot water, wi-fi, and is one of the closest to the Petra gates. The best value for money when traveling on a budget.
Review 43:maybe breakfast could be improved
