Lake Como Hostel is located just 150 feet from the shores of the beautiful Lake Como. It offers a terrace, a garden, a restaurant and a free private beach. WiFi in public areas is free.
All rooms and dormitories are simply decorated, and some rooms feature a private bathroom. Most of the rooms offer panoramic views of the lake.
A simple Italian breakfast is served in the dining room each morning. Como Hostel’s restaurant specialises in national cuisine, but also offers gluten-free and vegetarian options on request.

Review 1：this is only tiny little thing - bathroom should have some mats/ or available mop to dry the floor after using the bathroom. and few hooks to hang towel/ clothes/stuff

Review 3：I believe the hostel was built with the purpose of getting as much as they could of the limited space. The toilets, showers and rooms are awkwardly smaller, a completely inappropriate size that made me fell really uncomfortable. The mattresses and bunk beds are very poor quality, noisy and I felt tired every morning after a bad night sleep.

Review 4：The hostel is located in Menaggio which is a great village to reach all other villages around the Como Lake, you can have an stunning view of the lake. The price is the best you can get around this very touristic place.

Review 5：The atmosphere was young and really nice. This hostel is a grate place to meet people from all over the world. The staff was awesome! They gave us grate recommendations and really helped us plan our trip.

A shelf would make the world of difference... & 1 guy who worked at the front was bad, wouldn't even say hello or look up from the computer when I said hi, how are you. Clearly didn't care to help at all or even just be friendly.

Review 12：wifi was non-existent almost, not at all available in the rooms, only outside. bathrooms weren't too good the one in the room couldn't be used as the floor got flooded, so showered in the communal showered. Cleanliness could be improved.

Review 15：Location and view is incredible! But the hostel is not in center of Como. You have to take ferry or bus (c10) but you must be careful about bus timetable! Last one is at 22.00! And also the hostel is very close to ferry port (nearly opposite) Some of staffs r so kind! Thanx a lot.. I liked Como and that hostel :)

Review 33：I loved the location of this hostel and loved the 5 ***** view. The surrounding area was just beyond my expectations. This is was the first hostel that fully faced up to me expectations. The breakfast was ok served on the terrace with a lovely view. The food was reasonably priced (loved the pizza). The staff were very friendly. I loved the idea that this hostel is run on a little bit different conditions. It's not just a hostel, but a place with a soul and if you are a traveller type you will genuinely love it. You will have a chance to meet many people and explore Menaggio town and its surroundings. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone.

Review 35：I had the time of my life here. Although I was only there one night and two days it was definitely one of the best experience in my entire trip in Italy. The staff are incredible and kind and open and helpful. I met amazing people from all over the world and made great friends there. The location literally could not be better either. Amazing view of the lake, a "private beach" down below, and dinners at the hostel looked amazing. I would 100% recommend staying here and I will definitely be back if I'm ever in Como again!

Review 36：The room is cramped depending which dorm you get. Few power points, average WiFi. Don't like that the common room has lock out periods, so you can't choose to chill in on an arvo. No facilities to make a simple coffee, you have to buy. Kitchen is only for the restaurant, which the locals come to eat so dinner time the place gets busy.

Review 39：It's a cosy hostel, very near to the ferry station/point. It is managed by group of enthusiastic youngsters, who can become your great friends! It is kept very clean, and all the facilities are well maintained. Each night, they cook fresh food, which is quite yummy, and the wine isn't so expensive! It was a delight staying here.

Review 40：Request not to have 4 bed room with private bathroom as noisy at night due to being above kitchen & outside area for smokers. If you shut window & put on fan was ok but wouldn't be in summer. I don't recommend the 4.30pm bus as full of school kids bus from Como station as horrendously packed & very windy trip. Other quest said to catch the train to Varenna & catch ferry across to Menaggio as a better option.

Review 47：The people staying at the time were great and five minute walk from the lake and ten minutes to the center. Menaggio is a quiet little town. Hostel is also five minute walk to the port. They rent kayak and bikes.

Review 48：I wanted to cancel a night of reservations for my friends and couldn't figure out how to with your form so emailed you and the hostel never got the email, so were very annoyed when I arrived and told them. Had noisy roommates coming in after midnight.

Review 61：The location was superb and was easy to get to by bus from como station which only took and hour and had superb view of the lake all the way! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was just as a hostel should be; travellers chatting to each other, eating and drinking together and music and warmth oozing continuously. Very rare to see this in a hostel nowadays. For the price we were not expecting much apart from a bed and a hot shower and that is what we got. The view is wonderful and the private beach is lovely to chill on in the evenings to watch the sunset - v romantic. Sense of community and trust were apparent as we didn't lock our things up nor are there locks on the mixed dorms and when we were out felt we did not need to worry at all.

Review 62：Receptionist when we first got there was kind of rude and uninformative. I had read such great things about the staff that I was disappointed. We met some other staff later though and they were much friendlier.

Review 112：Cosy accommodation with friendly staff =) the wifi signal is pretty strong throughout the venue which is a big bonus. Toilets are amazingly clean !! When I travel, the cleanliness of the toilets really matter to me - I don't mind the size, as long as its clean. They've got a nice diner where you can interact with travellers from all around the globe. Great value for money! Will come back here again.
