Reviews for Camping Village Orlando in Chianti
Review 1:Wifi was poor. Cabs are expensive
Review 2:Closely a beautiful castle where they did tours about making chianti classico wine. The pool was great with different pools for different ages.
Review 3:Filthy cabin, way too small - no place to store your luggage and bags, cheap cheap quality, parking is a disaster and the pools were overcrowded and people jumped and dived recklessly amongst smaller children.
Review 4:Not a lot.
Review 5:Ants infested our beds. Cabin felt very unstable. Steep site for walking around. No parking facility near cabin. Inadequate supplies in shop. Poor signage from direction Rome.
Review 6:Pool complex was quite good.
Review 7:Glad we had a sat nav as we did get lost a couple of times, the journey was certainly an adventure.
Review 8:Excellent staff & facilities Easy to travel to other locations from here with spectacular views and surroundings
Review 9:As a young couple happy we only stayed for 3 days, not much in the way of entertainment unless you have a family
Review 10:Loved the location and facilities. Felt like we could just switch off and enjoy our stay
Review 11:Too far from the city.
Review 12:Extremly good place for familie with children. Nice, not too crowded pools, cheap and ok restaurant. Much wildlife eg. Lynx, wolves, Wild pigs and the camping fox.
Review 13:Overcharge on essentials like milk, etc. €2.30 per carton, when in a normal supermarket €1.60, Although the restaurant serves great food, go early as if a lot of people walk in, waiting time can't varie.
Review 14:Excellent food, lovely tranquil setup. Well thought out, would visit again. Staff very attentive and nice. Great value!!
Review 15:The drive in was up a mountain. Took a long time to get anywhere. They charged a cleaning fee and for sheets which no other camping village charged. Wifi didn't work and pool had very few hours.
Review 16:Pool was nice, but had very few hours.
Review 17:No view, surrounded by trees that kept dropping nuts onto the roof all night long. Mobiles move a lot when you walk or turn in bed.
Review 18:The facilities were excellent. Lovely pools, it was to cold to use them unfortunately. Superior mobile was very modern and clean.
Review 19:Comfortable, quiet, beautiful views, everything necessary provided, inc gas bbq (towels and linen extra, so take them). In early Oct, cheaper per night than camping! Staff very helpful and friendly
Review 20:I was disappointed that although the description says fully fitted kitchen - this wasn't quite the case. I didn't intend to cook much - but there was no oven and no grill. Only a hob with four rings. A toaster would have been useful. Also I think it is important that the descripton of the village states that if you any mobility problems it may not be the place for you. I have an arthritic knee and struggled to walk up the slopes. Cars are not permitted on site so a fair bit of walking is involved. Slow sevice is restaurant - although the staff are very pleasant - and we are on holiday so whats the rush!
Review 21:For the price we paid (£174 including the hire of linen and towels) it can't be faulted. Gas and electric were free. Good location for touring - but you need a car. we visited Florence, Siena, San gimignano, all easy to do in a day and about an hours drive. Radda in Chianti about 15 mins away is a lovely village with good restaurants. At the time we visited - late September - we had the pool mostly to ourselves. I would imagine in peak season it would be very packed and not so appealing to us. Restaurant is reasonably priced - pizzas are lovely.
Review 22:definitetly suggested, i was travelling on my bike and on the way up to campsite my bike was broken. Luckily staff gave me a lift by car up to campsite and they were very helpfull with all!
Review 23:Reception staff very friendly but too much time to wait for check-in and check-out. There should be more staff at reception.
Review 24:Nice childrens playground. Parking outside of the campsite.
Review 25:Our cottage was extremely sensitive to movements.Cleaning of the cottage was acceptable but should be improved. Optimally the pool area had been larger and the shop larger with more to offer.
Review 26:A quiet area with fresh and cool mountain air. The staff was very friendly and there were good opportunities for watching sport on a big TV screen. The pizzas in the restauarnt were among the best we ever had.
Review 27:Some things were broken in rooms (door didnt close; lamp was broken etc).
Review 28:We had a chance to check in after midnight (after the official check in was closed). Nice camping village and pools. Friendly staff.
Review 29:Good restaurant
Review 30:Very high up and not easy to cycle to. Not for the faint hearted.
Review 31:Great people! Great place! Great value!
Review 32:Cottage was tired and not that clean.
Review 33:Location
Review 34:to far from civilization and wi-fi only at the pool
Review 35:nice place in nature for relax, nice aquapark for children, lovely mobilhouses
Review 36:Pool
Review 37:Navigation doesn't know the adres
Review 38:Nice, quite new camping. Dutch speaking staff. Chalets are not to close to each other.
Review 39:Pool close to cottage, nice surroundings, comfort cottages
Review 40:Very good value for money. Good food in the restaurant. Nice staff.
Review 41:We didn't stay long enough/
Review 42:The place is perfect. We stayed with young kids and they had a lot of fun. Highly recommended.
Review 43:Climb out of Radda, not for the faint hearted :)
Review 44:Location, facilaties
Review 45:Fantastic atmosphere.
Review 46:The atmosphere and the friendly staff made our stay excellent along with good wine from the local vine yard and excellent food throughout our stay.
Review 47:Rather cold and wet, we were not given the bungalow we booked but acaravan with an outside kitchen and no form of heating inside which madefor an uncomfortable stay, the hot tub was not available despiteadvertised.
Review 48:Very clean
Review 49:Path to the tent was very hard to negotiate. Pricing was unclear. The mandatory cleaning fee is not included in the price quotes on booking.com. Despite this it was still a fair price overall.
Review 50:Permanently erected tent was well appointed.
Review 51:Couldnt find the place twice, the place is impossible to find with any gps..nightmare! The staff knows about it and not doing anything...... another bad thing, the camping charges 30 euro for cleaning...if they want to charge more money for room thats fine but dont find excuses to charge more....its serious amount it piss me off.
Review 52:Everything else was excellent great food at the restaurant , excellent rooms
Review 53:It was 27km away from the nearest train station. S.Giovanni. No bus connection. Taxi cost around 60EUR. None of that was indicated in the hotel description. They charging extra 30EUR (!) for cleaning. It is indicated, but in very small font, we oversaw it, and as we stay for a day, we payed more then double. It was much easier and cheaper to stay in 100EUR hotel in Florence.
Review 54:Beautiful surroundings, nature, fresh air, good food in a restaurant. Friendly staff.
Review 55:All very nice Perfect holiday
Review 56:Nothing in particular
Review 57:Overall was ok
Review 58:The wifi is available only in the restaurant.
Review 59:The mobile home is awesome, everything is in it, but the price in the low season is very low.
Review 60:The size of the rooms by far too small
Review 61:Well equipped kitchen
The Fine Print
