Hotel Adler sells fast on our site. Hotel Adler offers large grounds and swimming pool overlooking the mountains. Just half a mile from Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club, it is a 5 minute drive from the center of Menaggio and Lake Como.
Rooms are bright and elegantly furnished with classic furniture. They all feature free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV with satellite channels and a view of the lake or mountains. Some have a balcony.

Review 1：I love the views since the hotel is on top of the hill. I enjoyed the walk down to Menaggio, I was there for 13 nights and if I ever go back to Menaggio i will choose the hotel again and again. Breakfast was fantastic with choice of cappuccino or tea or whatever they could make for me in the bar. The bus stop if I wanted to take the bus is right in front of the hotel.
Review 2：Found all doors/exits locked when we tried to pack the car early before breakfast. Would struggle to escape in event of fire.

Review 18：Its too far from the centre of Menaggio, to walk is too long and complicated. The bus is the only option if you don't want to order taxi(about 20 €). The nearby church bell can be a distraction if you're sensitive to noise.
Review 19：The view was amazing from the balcony. The pool was clean and fresh. Breakfast was great. Easy to park the car. This hotel is a good option if you come with car. Menaggio is also a very cozy small town.
Review 20：Minor safety issue, with 8 steps down from bed to bathroom, difficult to navigate at night, and a minor injury. Some cigarette smoke. Limited ventilation. Surely does not apply to all rooms, so I would contact owner (and book lake view room next time)
Review 21：Pool was absolutely delightful. Expecting a cramped or crowded pool, we had neither. This was a bright clean, spacious pool for the size of property. Not too many guests, so it was nice to be able to relax in the refreshing water. Ample lounge chairs for the guests pool side. Additionally owner was helpful in navigating the area, the breakfast was decent, the views from the pool area were nice. Menaggio had some decent food at affordable prices and this was a nice base for several days.

Review 25：It was hard to get to. You have to drive or take a taxi. From downtown it is a 45 min walk uphill, which i started to make until i realized part of the walk was on a winding highway with no shoulder or sidewalk- not safe!

Review 30：The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious. The bathroom was huge (the largest shower we've had in Italy) and the shower was strong. The room overlooked the lake and the smell of jasmine wafted in at night. The breakfast was also one of the best we've had in Italy. The pastries in particular are very good. There is a pool with a nice view as well, and some parking. It is a quick drive up the mountain to great hikes or down the mountain to lakeside Menaggio. The director is very helpful.

Review 32：My wife and I visited the hotel for 2 nights and we had an amazing time. The family could not be any more helpful and friendly, they couldn't do enough and even gave us first drinks on the house when we got there. The rooms are very good for a cheaper hotel and the balcony we had was half lake view half pool. This was actually great as it was south facing which meant we had sun in the morning and the afternoon and the evening. Very nice win a beer gazing out to the lake. I think in fact this was better than a straight on lake view as that would only get sun in the morning. The local town is really nice. It's very pedestrianised unlike some others and there is charming bars and restaurants. There is 3 taxis situated here and if you haven't got a car which I would not recommend u can get a taxi for 10 euros. There is also a bus around every 30 minutes to an hour which runs till 7.30. There is a ferry to bellagio and other places. I would not recommend walking up the winding road from the town. There is no way it's 20 minutes. I'm a fit young person and I think the distance is more like 2.5km to the lake. I reckon a 30-40 minute walk down and probably longer up! Dinner cooked again by the family was very nice and good value and meant we could roll up to bed after a few glasses.

Review 42：The hotel is in very good condition, it is very clean, lovely furnished. The breakfast was excellent, with many italian dishes (brioche, cakes, bread, meat, cheese and much more). The owner is very hospitable and the hotel is conveniently located 6 min. drive west of Menaggio.

Use the route on the walking leaflet but still involves 200 metres beside the road, or may be better to use the bus both ways (and it is uphill coming back!). But then, it is a quieter location because it is outside Menaggio

As traditional users of Booking.com we thought HotelAdler in Menaggio was a central location for day trips in the area.Located in a quiet place, a few kilometers from the village, and on ahill near the main road to Lugano, Switzerland. Possibly a littleindisposed for a person with poor fitness, to walk to Menaggio, but ifno own vehicle is provided, so local bus or taxi works perfectly. We hadthe honor to meet annual regular customers of the hotel, and discussedhow superior we "first asset guests" enjoyed in Hotel Adler.We had been heartilly received by the owner Jacomo and his cheerfulstaff. Allocated to the fenced secure car park which was locked with alarge iron gate always at night! Many of the rooms have a balcony and abeautiful view of Lake Como. We experienced no deficiencies in the room,cleaned every day, Wifi worked very well too. Breakfast is good"European class" both sweet and salty choices. Jacomo is thepositive manager who is "all in all" and a super great cheftoo, with daily deals on different menus for lunch and dinner. Goingdown to the center for food, never came into our thoughts, Jacomos goodalternatives and the relaxing atmosphere with the opportunity to dineoutdoors or indoors. . . . Woow. . . How the man can cook. . . . : ) Wewent in the mornings around the beautiful lake with all the small nicevillages, afternoons at Adlers super fresh swimming pool with jacuzzi,and sun in to the evening hours,& sun beds, and well as the abilityto bring the refreshing beverages from the hotel's 'pub /bar' to the pool area !!! Unfortunately, our stay was too short inthe hotel, but when we had packed our motorcycle and checked out, with ahappy satisfied feeling we said ' so long ' to Jacomo and hisstaff, felt in our hearts that we return here as soon as possible again!

Review 114：The owners / staff were absolutely wonderful. We cannot fault this place. Walks from the hotel up into the hills - awesome views! But - here is the bonus. The owner can cook. Boy can he cook! Don't worry about going back down to Menaggio to eat. Stay here for dinner. Regular buses get you down to the lake without a problem once you get to know how it works. The owner is very helpful in this. In our case we were able to leave bags at the hotel for a couple of days in Venice and they all went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. 10/10.

In general, I think the value of hotels around Lake Como is poor. They are overpriced and not very nice. So, for Lake Como this is a good value.

Review 127：We had a small room on the very busy street side (throughway to Locarno). Impossible to sleep with an open window, even with earplugs. Furthermore, rather expensive for what you get. But that seems to be problematic all around lake Como in the summer. The hotel is located up the hill from Menaggio. Sometimes too much a hassle to go to Menaggio and back.
