Reviews for Cromwell House
Review 1:Steve was a wonderfully welcoming host. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully quiet. (I loved the curtains, wanted to take them home with me!) the whole house is tastefully decorated with interesting things to look at and books to browse. We enjoyed the lounge area, one sofa each to stretch out on! We had breakfast on the front verandah surrounded by Steves beautiful prize winning roses and the glorious fragrance of honeysuckle. It was a short walk to some great restaurants and a local brewery, we just had a great time!
Review 2:My husband and I stayed for 3 nights, the room was not made up or towels changed during this time. The lighting was very poor in the bathroom, impossible to do your face and hair. Coffee and tea facilities were offered in a common room but there wasn't any milk. Bathroom is not an ensuite.
Review 3:The host of the house was very accommodating & friendly. Great location to walk to the club for dinner. Bed was very comfortable and the room was warm.
Review 4:Loved curling up in front of the roaring log fire that greeted us every night after a long day on the slopes! Then kicked the day off with a scrumptious breakfast made by our warmhearted host, Steve! Felt so spoiled!
Review 5:The overall cleanliness of the property was not up to a good standard
Review 6:The host was welcoming and helpful and the breakfasts were very good. Afternoon tea was served with a freshly baked homemade cake and was excellent.
Review 7:We liked the comfort of the surrounds and the bed. We liked Steve's cooking. We enjoyed Steve's hospitality.
Review 8:Steve is a wonderful host and a very good cook. Being the only couple there made it extra pleasant
Review 9:Loved the place. Steve is a lovely man and we will definitely be going back.
Review 10:Very nice, unique.
Review 11:Not really a negative but Cooma is a typical small Australian Country town with somewhat limited facilities.
Review 12:Cromwell House is a comfortable renovated country house and owner Steve Allen is an excellent host - and very good cook. As a result, we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Cooma. The surrounding coastal and mountain scenery - about an hours drive - is delightful and the town does have a few good restaurants - as recommended by Steve.
