Erboli Residence sells fast on our site. Situated in the countryside, Erboli Residence is a historic stone building from the late 1800s. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, it offers a summer outdoor pool and is just outside the town of Cavriglia.
Apartments have traditional Tuscan décor with wrought-iron beds. They feature an equipped kitchen with dining area, and a private bathroom. Satellite flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi are included. Some have terracotta floors, and a furnished patio or garden.
Residence Erboli provides free parking. It easily reached from the A1 motorway and is a short drive from Chianti's famous vineyards. The nearest train station is 3.7 miles away in Montevarchi.

Review 1：Very sparse on everyday items eg toilet paper, tissues, iron, ...we had to ask for these items. Told to supply our own iron... (From Australia??) They said there was laundry facilities but after searching twice & asking, I still could not find it.

Review 6：Air conditioning was not included in the base price. As it was hot (July 2015) cost was an additional 60 Euros. Our apartment (2 bedroom under the roof of the reception) was infested with many insects entering from the roof. We had to use pesticides, which resolved nothing.

Review 8：Great location -- we enjoyed the property (swimming in the pool and playing ping-pong, walking in the vineyards and forest nearby), explored small villages (Montegonzi and Cavriglia), plus the "usual (lovely) suspects"(Sienna, Volterra and St. Giminiano) and Florence, of course. We dined (and wined) out and also cooked at our apartment, enjoying meals al fresco with a view. All three generations of the family running this great place were very friendly and helpful.

Review 9：In the heart of Tuscany, on Chianti road. Fantastic, quiet, warm, ancient, well situated, conditioned and maintained huge place. Managers and staff are very polite and friendly.

Review 10：Serene Tuscan dream nestled in the foothills, easy to get to and easy access to day trips all over Tuscany. Apartment was perfect, had everything I needed. Very clean, staff was very helpful.

Review 11：The WiFi was slow and the staff was difficult to find when we had questions (although they were VERY nice and helpful once we caught up with them). Be mindful that this is a Residence so you need your own supplies, like toilet paper and trash bags. Linens and very nice fluffy towels are provided.

Review 12：The location was beautiful and an easy trip around Tuscany. Comfortable for a family of 5. Very quiet and relaxing with plenty of green space to play.

Review 13：To further improve, the residence should purchase some new pans and crockery and cutlery - all were rather 'tired' looking and the saucepans had no lids.

Review 14：The location of the residence was perfect for visiting Tuscany, and the apartment was beautifully clean. We loved having a little patio area to ourselves outside our own little door. The nearby small town of Cavriglia had a small supermarket for essentials and it was easy to get to Florence by train from the nearby larger town of Montevarchi.

Review 15：Fabulous views, large bedroom and bath. Large kitchen area and lovely patio. We didn't do any cooking so I can't rate the kitchen supplies. Grounds are fabulous with a nice game room. Vending machine for cappuccino in the morning. Host was very gracious with suggestions for things to do in the area. Good location also to access the train at Montevarchi. Weather was rainy when we were there so we traveled by train to other areas. Wi-fi was great.

Review 17：Everything is a huge satisfaction ranging from the environment, facilities, room and staffs. The hotel is fully equipped, each house is independent from the others which will give you a perfect silent environment to sleep even when the neighbour is having a party. You will never regret staying here!

Review 19：We had a 2 bedroom apartment in the main building of the villa. It was simply furnished but comfortable. The kitchenette provided enoughcookware to do basic cooking. The beds were comfortable and all areas of the property were well maintained. The grounds were lovely. The location is perfect for heading off to wine country, Siena, Florence. The town of Cavriglia is convenient and has an excellent restaurant.

Review 25：The place was full of spiders, mozzies and wasps, and that was inside. No screens to keep them out and this meant sleeping in a hot room with windows closed or pay for aircon which didn't work in main bed. Had to buy bug spray! Daughter eaten alive. Neighbors above kept us awake at night as not soundproof at all. We could hear them in toilet! No sleep. This is self contained accommodation which means bring your own everything from salt to toilet paper and all in between. There is NOTHING in the apartment, not even a tea bag to welcome guests. No eating facilities. Travel to restaurants 10 mins. You have to pay to wash and they have no ironing facilities either. We left early.Go prepared and with everything you need to live. Don't expect them to service the room.

Review 26：The location was good and central to many sights and the pool area was nice and well maintained. Clean. Towels and linen provided. Visually pleasing to look at.

Review 27：Air conditioning is charged extra, but needs to be booked pre arrival . Otherwise one is likely to be bothered by mosquitos through open windows.

Review 28：This is a lovely bolt hole, away from crowds. In the midst of vineyards, Erboli is perfectly located for a 'great family holiday' experience . The station in an adjoining town has an efficient train service to Fienze, and has free parking.

Review 29：Would be nice to include air conditioning but it was reasonably priced.

Review 31：Wi-Fi signal was poor and disappeared occasionally and there was this problem with mosquitoes biting us in the middle of the night. This could have been solved easily with screens (or nets) on the windows.

Review 32：The place is spotless and well kept. We had a specious apartment with very big bedrooms and a nice kitchen. The views from our windows were breathtaking and the whole place was welcoming and a great fun for our children. The swimming pool was just wonderful.

The house owner Stefano was quite nice and helpful to all the guests. It is close to most famous city like Siena, Firenze, San Gimiano... Really good choice in Tuscany!

Review 70：Not as convenient to Chianti region as we would have liked. Thinks looked close on map, but roads are windy and small and it takes more time and gas to get places. Had difficulty with remote that managed gates to property which are closed in the evenings. Bed could have been more comfortable. Internet was hit and miss. Rainy and cloudy weather for entire week we were there!!

Review 73：The place was amazing and the family members who run the business are all very friendly, Mr. Stefano was very friendly. Even his father and also one old guy who keep the place very nice and do the gardening were very friendly even though they can only speak italian, they still try to reach out and even gave us flowers from the garden and gave us woods for the chimney in the gazebo. We didnt expect that but then i would say, i salute them. Pure kind at heart. We stayed there for 6 days and the whole place, it's like God's piece of cake. An absolute paradise!

Review 74：Just some small things. Dishes and sponge but no dish soap. Salt and pepper shaker with no salt and pepper. But other than that we had an amazing stay!

Review 80：The sofa bed was not very comfortable. Our apartment was not cleaned in the 3 days we stayed there. Not that it was a major problem, but perhaps as a recommendation to the owners - they can provide a couple of extra rubbish bags in the apartment (we had to empty the bag in a big rubbish bin provided at the gate and re-use the same bag.)

Review 81：Beautiful property among vineyards. the owners are very friendly and helpful. We had a two storey apartment, which was lovely and the kitchen was well equipped. Great views. They have a lovely, big gazebo with a fireplace which we used each night. We also enjoyed a few rounds of table tennis in the games room. All in all a lovely stay and I can recommend this place.

Review 86：The TV was ridiculously small, and the seating area is located in the kitchen. The kitchen accessories can be improved (a grater, a ladle and why not, a microwave, can be useful). Not big issues.

Review 87：The residence is located in a charming Tuscany landscape, Stefano and his wife are very kind and helpful. Good starting point for trips in Tuscany. The one room apartment was large enough, and the patio may be a pleasant place (not for me - I was there in the winter). The décor of the apartment is nice and specific to Tuscany

Review 88：Furnishing was really dated. There were funny coloured stains on a few walls… No condiments provided like salt or sugar … No dish washing liquid. And the spiders … did not see them but there were plenty of cobwebs out in the garden, near the pool and tiny ones in the cottage. Intermittent wifi issues.

Review 89：Rooms were quite spacious with double toilets and little kitchenette in the cottage. Rooms were clean other than stains on the walls. Wonderful looking garden and pool which unfortunately we could not use as the weather was too cold to stay out when we were back from sightseeing. Review 91：This is the most amazing place I have never stayed in Italy. I've been Italy for thousand times, and this time I took my girlfriend and her family here. Located in a very peaceful and beautiful manor on the top of hill, has wide and pretty mountain view, and a great swimming pool. The apartment is big, bright, clean and warm! The owner is extremely friendly! There are still many of positives I can't type them all on here. For me, it is way better than 90% of 5-star hotels! Highly recommend!!

Review 93：The resort was fabulous. We had a great holiday. The owner Stefano and his wife were waiting for us to check-in in the evening. We got a beautiful appartment with a garden. Great view from our garden as well as our bedroom window. Our appt was very clean, they even provided a beautiful baby crib for our lil one. which was ready upon arrival. Infact the pictures on the website donot justice to the property. The property is beautiful with great view. Stefano (the owner) is very friendly guy gave us tips and recommended some good restaurants. The area surrounded with vineyards & post card beautiful. We had a super holiday @ Erboli. Review 94：No street lights on the way to the villa. So driving at night can be scary at the beginning.

Review 95：It's a family run villa, totally warm and welcoming during the stay. The room is spacious and the landscape and view is spectacular! Lush olive grove and vineyard. Fully equipped kitchen. It's nearby to Prada Space, about 15-mins drive and less than an hour drive to The Mall and Fashion Valley. Easy access to Florence from Montevarchi station for about 10-mins drive. Train ride to Firenze SMN station will take about 40-mins.

Review 96：Mosquitoes are a problem everywhere in Italy and unfortunately there isn't much one can do about it but bring mosquito repellent. It would have been good if the apartment windows had fly nets to prevent mosquitoes from entering in the apartment and to allow us to keep the windows open in the evenings.

Review 97：Erboli Residence is situated in a secluded and peaceful area with lovely apartments and good amenities. It is also only a half hour drive from Siena and San Gimignano for day trips; and a 40 minute train ride to Florence. A car is definitely necessary. Stefano is a wonderful host. Very friendly and helpful with any queries.

Review 98：Felt a bit isolated. The town was good for food shopping and a pizza to go, but that was about it. Not enough choices for eating out. The villa did not promote any events in town or things to do and see. Also would have been nice to have a few essentials in the kitchen like olive oil, salt and pepper, sugar, coffee, rubbish bags. But now that I know this, I would be more prepared next time.

Review 101：We stayed in Erboli for more than a week in one of ground floor appartments with private patio and grapevine gazebo. The appartment has a proper kitchen with oven. The property has a games room and a rather large pool. Private parking is available on the (gated) property, which is beautifully maintained by the old brothers. Flowers bloom and everything is tidy and working. Montevarchi train station is 10 minutes away which is the best way into Firenze. Siena is around 45 min through beaurtiful country roads. Staff is helpfull and friendly.

Review 102：Stunning oasis close to montevarchi. If you have your own car this is superb. Family run the hosts are extremely hospitable and the apartments are excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 105：Not complaints but suggestions: 1-call ahead and ask for direction if your GPS does not take the coordinates. 2- Our apartment apparently was the only one that didn't get the Wi-fi signal, however, we were able to connect sitting in the beautiful gazebo or in the game room. Stefano was kind enough to give us a discount for the inconvenience.

Review 107：Very difficult to find - there are no road signs, leading to this place on a small street away from any village, the telephone number didn't answer, and the GPS coordinates didn't work correctly on my GPS.

Review 109：The apartments are very dark, especially the bedrooms whose windows were bricked up from the outside. Maybe it's good for the summer heat, but I did not like it. The shower is fixed and there is no shower cap.

Review 119：Missing just a few basics in the kitchen like a dish towel and a functioning corkscrew. Inside there is no real sitting area in our unit.

Review 120：A very beautiful facility. Everything is in excellent repair and the grounds are wonderful. I would not suggest the place for winter but you couldn't go wrong any other time of year. The little village close by is neat as a pin and there is a huge ipercoop supermarket just 10 km away.
