Review 11：It is a very noisy hotel, we got the one above the café and it's horrendous at night due to the customers. You can also hear every guest entering the hotel cause the frontdoor closes with a bang... According to the website there is WiFi everywhere. Turns out this is absolutely untrue: there is some connection in the bar and in the hall, but is not stable. In the room it is a disaster.

Was alright for solo as I used both pillows, but with couple would need additional pillows - not sure if can request? Limited cafe menu, especially breakfast (but might be different if ordering in the room).
Review 23：Being near the Piazza and having lake and mountain views is just great. Comfortable room and cosy. Well appointed bathroom. Cleaniness and maintenance VG. Lift to carry luggage. Hot water for shower was excellent. Having the cafe facility in the building is a great idea.

Review 25：Room was adequate but bit dark. As hotel was quiet , we had the terrace to ourselves with the great views of Lake Como. We enjoyed exploring this area and the hotel was good base for this with ferry close. Parking was good in garage nearby.
Review 26：Some may prefer a stand alone shower, our room had a very deep tub with a shower head. Be prepared for an easy flat 10 minute walk to the ferry dock, as that is how you'll travel to the other towns & sites. There was only one suit case stand, so we used the single bed for the other.
Review 27：Very clean hotel with plenty of charm. The room was not at all cramped with one large (comfortable) bed, 2 night stands, single bed, double armoire with sm, refrigerator, desk & chair & small sitting table. The bath room was also sizable. Appointed with nice fabrics & towels. The heated towel rack was appreciated as we rinsed laundry each night. We especially enjoyed the deck, with two chairs on the balcony which over looks the square & the lake. The staff is very friendly & there is breakfast available for purchase, as well as a full bar. Nice sitting areas inside & out on the square. There is a promenade along this section of lake so it's easy to go for long walks, the tourist info, office is in the square & can offer all kinds of optional things to do & see. If you like to shop, there are several around the square as well & plenty of good options for osterias, cafés, restaurants & wine. Great place for a couple. There is also a good grocery store located near the ferry landing, a convenient stop heading back to the hotel.

Review 30：- lake view rooms are actually trees view rooms :) Even on 2nd floor, you could see mostly trees, not lake. Rooms to square view are probably more interesting - Sound isolation in room on 1st floor was very bad: you can hear everything what is happening in cafeteria - breakfast not really worth it. Better to order some Panini or toast separately
Review 31：- Location was great: close to port and is in city center - Room was very nice: clean, stylish, everything needed was there - We liked that cafeteria bill was put on the room, so we didn't bother paying in the mornings - We checked in to room 101 initially, but sound isolation was horrible there. We've asked to change the room to more quite one, since we stayed for 6 nights, and they did. Overall, I do recommend the hotel! It was nice!

Review 106：The staff were extremely friendly and could not have been more helpful. The location was great, right on one of the main squares and 25 meters from Lake Como and the wonderful promenade. Ground floor is a lovely lakeside cafe for an afternoon expresso pick me up and some people watching.
Review 107：The hotel lock up parking is 300 metres away, although there are three 20 min free parking spots right outside the hotel for loading and unloading bags. Not a problem unless you need frequent access to your car.
Review 108：Hotel du Lac occupies a superb location in the centre of Menaggio and right on the lake shore. The rooms are extremely comfortable and very well apponted. The staff are all very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble.

Review 118：Our room was overlooking the lake, the road and the central square with all the cafes - I was fine, but my husband was often annoyed by the noise, as we always had at least one window open to have some lake air. For this room price breakfast could be included, or it could cost less than €10 for a coffee, juice, croissant and yoghurt. We didn't even try - always bought some fruit, bread and yoghurt from a shop nearby.

Review 122：We drove to Italy and an important consideration is the security ofthe car. Initially, I felt the extra 10 Euro per day car parking was alot but the car park is very secure with a key operated sliding gateto a purpose built parking block so perhaps that's just aboutacceptable. The parking is a short distance away from the hotel butit's a level walk and it is possible to stop outside the hotel tooffload and load luggage.
Review 123：The hotel is superbly located just off the lake side. We had a 1st classroom on the 2nd floor overlooking the lake and had expected some noisefrom the town square below during the evening but in fact all was veryquiet and subdued after about 1130pm. We did not take the additionalbreakfast option at 10 Euro per person per day seemed excessive in viewof what we saw on offer but a very acceptable option (for us) of acoffee and pastry of some sort in the bar down stairs at a fraction ofthe cost worked perfectly for us. Most of the staff spoke better Englishthan our Italian and were very helpful and friendly.
