Reviews for Albergo Italia
Review 1:Wifi didn't work at all. Building is unattractive. Walk .75 k to old town to go to restaurants etc.
Review 2:Nice room with bath down the hall. Never saw another guest so had it to myself. Popular restuarant downstairs. Great helpful and friendly staff. Close to train station and bus
Review 3:the room and bed are clean however one can not expect more than two star hotel...few problems like the shower door which is a plastic curtain
Review 4:nice and helping staff, good breakfast. good location is really helpful with the paring place
Review 5:Internet was slow and dropped out often.
Review 6:Generous coffee and tea for 1,50€. Bus to San Gimginano for 2,50€. Train to Siena just 30mins. Train station 100m. Good Italian restaurant next door and others nearby.
Review 7:Nothing.
Review 8:It suited my needs perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised to discover breakfast was included in price and it was a good quality continental breakfast too. Real coffee, real croissants, real bread rolls, real crostata, real juice.. Staff friendly and professional.
Review 9:Very noisy and on a busy street. Further to Florence than expected.
Review 10:Good base to visit surrounding cities..Florence and Sienna. Excellent local restaurant next door. Close to train.
Review 11:The traffic noise from 6 am. Ask for a quiet room if you do not need to rise early. Very quiet during the night.
Review 12:The cleanliess and the privacy. The balcony overlooking a busy plaza was good to relax on. It is very close to he transport, both train and bus. Close to several restaurants which were full of locals...always a good sign.
Review 13:Room was somewhat dusty...on furniture and floor. Staff said the reason was the last costumers had left 3 days before our arrival. No hooks to hang your towels in the tiny yet all-furnished toilet. Poor internet connection on the 2 an 3 floor. Booking and staff said: "There is wi-fi in all hotel areas". Not true ;-)
Review 14:Parking in front of hotel and safe location. Very friendly staff. Basic though good breakfast. Nice environment.
Review 15:we had a room street side, a lot of noise during the night. Dark halls and steps, make it a bit scary for children
Review 16:low budget hotel, all basics are available
Review 17:The hotel is a bit old.
Review 18:The staff is very nice and helpful, they even waited for our arrival beyond the reception hours. Parking is available (reservation needed). The location is good for day trips to San Gimignano, Siena, and all the Chianti area.
Review 19:Staff was really good, even they could not speak much english, they went the extra mile to make us frel very confortable. Nothing was a problem for them. Bedrooms fully equipped with aircon and hair dryer, even if not mentioned in booking.com. Breakfast was basic but good, nice coffee and good croissants
Review 20:Helpful staff
Review 21:Very nice place to spend few days in Poggibonsi. Clean room, friendly staff, good localization and included breakfast - what more could you want?
Review 22:People were very friendly. I felt like I lived there, one of the locals.
Review 23:The coffee was great and the host was extremely nice. The room was clean and had a beautiful bacony with flowers.
Review 24:Friendly, helpful staff, secure parking, good restaurant next door, close to bus and train for short day trips.
Review 25:Good hotel. Friendly personnel. Good breakfasts. Good room.
Review 26:Street out front very noisy
Review 27:Location Restaurant next door very good
Review 28:It's difficult to rent a car, bicycle or scooter in Poggibonsi - the closest place is on the way to San Gimignano. The hotel staff will assist you, but ask well in advance as it take some time to get the bike to the hotel.
Review 29:If you want to stay in a small Tuscan town with easy access to all the sights, Poggibonsi is great. It's very close to San Gimignano, but not as expensive. Albergo Italia is very close to the train and bus station and also close to the older, historic part of Poggibonsi. Staff were very friendly and helpful, although we had to use gestures at times. Our room was big enough and very clean, with a nice bathroom (looks newly renovated). Wifi is now available in all their rooms, not only public places. We had great meals at the restaurant next door, but it also seems that there are other good restaurants in town. Breakfast at the hotel was OK, but would have enjoyed a boiled egg or something extra (mainly bread, croissants, yoghurt and GOOD coffee).
Review 30:Everyday sweet breakfast - no alternative. Only power socket sutiable for charging lap-top was located in bathroom. Poor sound insulation between rooms.
Review 31:This hotel was opened in 1950's and still has this "retro spirit". It's location, surrounding, loosely english speaking stuff, even the whole Poggibonsi look, gives a special meaning to your stay there. If you are more adventurist and less comfort seeker, and If you chose once to visit Tuscany and particulary Chianty region, do not think twice - choose Pogibonsi as your base and Albergo as your temporary home.Parking sollution is excelent.
Review 32:200 TV channels not one in English, no lift to the upper floors
Review 33:cost , location, breakfast included, parking, opposite the station, trains to Siena and Florence every hour, good restaurant next door,
Review 34:Nothing!
Review 35:I missed one train from pisa to poggibonsi at that night, and made the arriving time to 0100 am. I called the hotel and they waited me until that time. They are really nice! And it is really near the station, can get on the bus to Siena and San Gimignano easily.
Review 36:Lack of sound-proofing in the public areas means that every footstep, movement of furniture and tinkle of teaspoon rings through the whole place like a bell. Hotel very peaceful however after midnight.
Review 37:Like Poggibonsi itself this hotel is off the mass-tourist beaten track and a welcome reminder that ordinary Italian life still goes on. Communications are excellent of course, by rail and bus. Hotel and town are very pleasant, friendly and clean.
Review 38:Right opposite station and in centre of town with excellent good value restaurant next door. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Wi Fi free. Cheap and cheerful accommodation with good size rooms and handy for visiting San Gimignano.
Review 39:Grazie Francesco Enzo and Renzo for the best family hotel experience. Thanks! Station across the square with easy access to Siena and Sangimignano.
Review 40:breakfast

Review 42:Excellent location for the train and bus. Great value, good breakfast, good local restaurant next door.
Review 43:Poor breakfast. Badly maintained plumbing, window frames. Poor sound isolation of rooms.
Review 44:Very friendly owner, offered partking for my bike for free.
Review 45:Asked to change for the room at the back, it was no problem.
Review 46:The location is very good. There is a private parking availability. It's a good budget hotel.
Review 47:Nice place to stay!Perfect to discover Siena, San Jimignano and Volterra!
Review 48:The beds were not that comfy
Review 49:The staff was really kind
Review 50:The nicest staffs ever. Best hotel experience in my trip. Great location. next to the train n bus station.
