Hotel & Restaurant Christkindlwirt sells fast on our site. The 4-star Hotel & Restaurant Christkindlwirt is an oasis of relaxation in the famous pilgrimage town of Christkindl in Upper Austria, right behind the baroque church.
Surrounded by green fields and woods, yet only a 4-minute drive from the romantic town of Steyr, the hotel offers light-flooded and comfortable rooms with light wood, warm colors and a fantastic view from the beds.
For 4 generations, the restaurant has served lovingly prepared regional dishes and Austrian wines. A rich breakfast buffet is available until 10 am.
The unique “Felsen-Vital-Oase” made of natural rock offers a sauna, a steam bath, adventure showers and a relaxation area. It can be used free of charge. Bathrobes and swimming shoes are available at the front desk (deposit required).
Additional highlights of the hotel are the south-facing terrace at a height of 82 ft, and the Angel Rock, which is illuminated with the colors of the rainbow.

Review 1：Hotel's personnel can hardly speak english. Menu was also only in German. We booked the massage and the therapist simply did not come saying he had felt ill. Nobody at the reception notified us about that ahead. In a few hours the therapist appeared and started working. So we were simply cheated.

Review 7：It's a good 35 minute walk into town. Not so bad going there but a bit of a climb on the way back.

Review 11：It suppose to be wellness hotel but some services such as ropes and slippers had to be paid 8 euro. During the breakfast their stuff had to fix the entrance door - which could be avoided as for me.

We expected the restaurant prices to be steepbut found the menu amazingly good value.the staff need to look atportion control as the meals were massive. After the main course youwere too full to have anything else. On the first night we had a starterand then a shared platter with a side salad. When the platter came therewas rice, chips, vegetables, chicken, pork,beef steak and a shnitzeleach.after the first night we did not have starters or desserts.got tobelieve the hotel is missing out on revenue with main courses being toobig . all staff very friendly and spoke very good english
Review 20：The staff were slightly annoying in that they made an unneccessary fussabout using particular bank cards ie visa debit as they made nocommission compared to a visa credit. It is classed as a luxury hotelbut I would consider it as a basic 3 star ie no complimentarytoiletries, charged 8 euros to use slippers & robe and double rm camewith two bed pushed together. And extra cost to use the whirlpool!! Soeasy to add extra items to the bill. However the food was very tasty
Review 21：Restaurant had a great view (food was good too). Staff were very friendly. There is a shuttle bus into town. Rooms very clean and tidy with pleasant balcony. The refurb/design of the hotel is pretty stylish. Didn't get chance to use the spa etc so can't comment.
