Reviews for Hotel Du Grand Paradis & Wellness La Baita

Review 1:Friendly staff with helpful advice on local attractions and restaurants Breakfast buffet was simple but lots of good local produce Spa and sauna were a great way to end the day

Review 2:The spa facilities are fantastic...salt room, bio sauna, pool loaded with potassium and magnesium, chromotherapy jacuzzi...not to mention the view of Gran Paradiso mountain...total relax. Staff most welcoming and friendly and available to help and resolve any questions. Interesting collection of antiques around the hotel that represent the local history. Oh, and the food was very good at the hotel bistro. Very positive experience. Plan to visit again for a leisure trip.

Review 3:The rooms are not really good sound proof.

Review 4:The location is convenient. The spa is a great idea that is included in your facilities. Very helpful staff to find good restaurants around and nice food suggestions.

Review 5:The wireless network is uneven in its capacity and to flush the toilet at night awakens at least an entire floor. The rooms are not as nice renovated such as the lobby and the spa.

Review 6:The hotel has great staff, a charming hotel lobby and a small but fine spa. The breakfast is ok.

Review 7:The private spa was just what we needed and it is a great price for private use ... they set it up excellently with the candles, music and lighting, wine was waiting for us and we were glad of the balcony to step outside to cool down after the sauna. The entire hotel is exceptionally clean and our room was just perfect. There was not one thing that we could possibly complain about! Thank you to all at the hotel for making this a great stay. Would fully recommend eating at the La Brasserie du Bon Bec !

Review 8:Staff very friendly, private SPA is a 'must-do'. Village of Conge is worth the while, just as nature park that has well pointed out walking routes.

Review 9:The air extraction in the bathroom did not work.

Review 10:The oldest hotel in the city. In the midle of this charming city. The staff wears national dresses. It all takes you back to a more calm time. The spa. The massage. The breakfast, thoug the juices were better on my other hotel. Wide dark wooden floors.

Review 11:There isn't private parking The Spa is too little for more than 6 guests.

Review 12:The hotel is good located in the center of Cogne, but it hasn't a private parking.. I've booked a beautiful room on the 2nd floor with balcony on the little Cogne's square. The hotel is very nice and not so big. Tha SPA is very lovely and we appreciated it a lot.

Review 13:A piece of vegetable (some crudites) at the breakfast buffet would have been excellent.

Review 14:The bed, shower, staff, housekeeping... Excellent! The eggs at breakfast buffet were delicious!

Review 15:Meal at sister hotel - overpriced for quality of food and service not up to standard that should be expected from this type of hotel - although we were a large group the staff should know which meal has been ordered by which person as none of us spoke Italian. Also staff cleared table which one or two people still finishing their meal.

Review 16:Comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Good breakfast

Review 17:A friendly, gracious owner family provided very personalized service and interesting conversation, in English. Room a bit tiny but clean and very charming in an alpine, rustic sort of way. Excellent breakfast and homey lounge floor with comfortable couches surrounding a cracking fire in fireplace. Nice spa on top floor.

Review 18:We didn't like the fact that, once again, we got the worst room (in the back facing a wall). Is this because we book through booking.com? Make sure to ask for a room facing the garden or the square. A general disadvantage of the hotel is that most rooms have no balconies. But, being in the center of town you have plenty of opportunities to sit out in nice places when you take a break from hiking. Another disadvantage shared with other Cogne hotels is the lack of parking by the hotel. You can drive to the hotel to unload but you then have to drive the car to a big municipal parking lot on the edge of town and take an elevator up to the pedestrian area. This hotel is probably the closest to the parking lot access.

Review 19:We liked the common areas downstairs; very cozy and nice, in the typical decor we'd seen in other good Aosta hotels - lots of wood, couches, old paintings, fireplace. I don't usually like the fake-old look but in this hotel it was very tasteful and fit the surroundings. The room was big and well furnished. The bathroom again, typical: big, with a bidet but, unlike in the other hotels we stayed at, the shower, while small, was not uncomfortably so. The sauna/steam-bath/jacuzzi area is beautiful, works well and when we were there there were only two other people.. Too bad it's open for such a short time during the day. The WiFi was the best we had in the Aosta area. The staff was nice and very helpful, particularly Mihaela whose English is very good.

Review 20:wellness spa small but very confortable warm rooms regional breakfast

Review 21:Crean room. Fancy decoration. Location

Review 22:We liked the hotel room and the Spa. The personal was very nice and helpful

Review 23:Charming hotel with friendly staff. The spa department with its cottage-like atmosphere was great after a hike in the mountains!

Review 24:Nothing really. The plumbing is a little noisy but that did not botherus. We had assumed that there was a restaurant on site but therewasn'T. Meals are taken at a nearby sister hotel if required. Wedecided to stay on a b & b basis as there are plenty of good placesto eat in the village.

Review 25:Extremely comfortable, warm, well run and friendly. Excellent breakfast.Very convenient for the cross country skiing pistes.

Review 26:The staff were exceptionally helpful.
