Review 2：The Arbatasar hotel is just fabulous: this is a very elegant hotel in a perfect location to visit the east coast of Sardinia and we have to insist on the kindness, the hospitality and the professionalism of all the staff: from reception, breakfast room, restaurant to the cleaning staff, the whole team made us feel very welcomed from day one and always had a smile on their face :-) - The room was big and elegant with a huge bed and nice furniture choice - we particularly enjoyed the decoration/style/furniture in the hotel: rooms and corridors: old and classic furniture, very stylish. - The breakfast is rich and varied (but of course this is more of a continental Europe/Italian breakfast style, do not expect an Irish breakfast ;-) (but there is savoury choice) - the hotel restaurant is excellent: customers from outside the hotel were coming every evening: it was always very busy, which is a good sign. The food was 5 stars ***** - The pool area is lovely and relaxing. - We thought that it was a great starting point to visit this part of Sardinia, but you cannot do without a car! (however we quickly realised that this is the case everywhere in Sardinia: have a car, you cannot rely on transports) - Arbatax is only a very small village, nothing amazing but this is nice for a walk and the pizzerias and restaurants are all good and with reasonable prices. Only a 3 minutes walk from the hotel. We would definitely go back, we loved it!

Review 3：Breakfast was so so, the choice was not very extended, moderate bread quality and most of all really poor coffee! I mentioned it to the staff but they indicated it was a special machine grinding the beans etc. however not what you would expect in Italy! Wifi is not available throughout the hotel.

Review 5：The shower was very tiny and there was no dressing gown, slippers, and no kettle. Also, the swimming pool had a nice overhead shower feature but it was only turned on during daily pool cleaning.

Review 6：It's a value-for-money hotel type. The rooms are a little bit outdated, but they are clean and bed is comfy. Staff is friendly as well. There's a free car parking and the location is close to the port, but not so close to the centre. Make sure to have a car if you choose this place.

Review 7：The staff was amazing, especially the guy in the reception, didn't catch his name, but I got a parking ticket and he fixed all the paper work etc for me. He also fixed us a sandwich when we arrived after midnight. Really helpful! The cleaning was really good, always tidy and super clean. Great breakfast, great restaurant. Small town though, so it's good to have a car unless you're happy with the immediate surroundings.

Review 10：The only let downs were no fresh orange juice at breakfast, and the only cooked food at breakfast was the same 2 choices of small boiled sausages or scrambled egg every day. The rest of breakfast was great however. It was a very minor detail but the shower cubicle in our room was looking a bit old and tired and in need of updating. Honestly though - the only thing we didn't like about this hotel was leaving it!

Review 11：This is a lovely hotel with a feel of luxury. The pool is amazing - it is really well designed so that you can sunbathe in an inch or 2 of water round the edges, and big enough and deep enough to swim in the middle. The temperature was perfect. The surrounding gardens are pretty, tranquil and well designed. The restaurant is wonderful, with impeccable service and absolutely delicious food. The reception staff were amazing and just couldn't do enough for you. They were very professional and friendly. The room was really nice, with a very comfortable bed, and easy to adjust air conditioning. We stayed at 4 hotels during our holiday and this was by far the most comfortable! The upstairs terrace where breakfast was served had lovely views and was just the right temperature.

Review 40：the receptionist (male, short, shaved head) when we checked in was very unfriendly and impolite, we accidentally drove into a no entry part of the hotel which he seemed rather unhappy about, didn't offer to help with our cases either, we didn't get a warm welcome at this point. The hotel was hosting a wedding which we were not informed of when we made our booking, therefore we couldn't use facilities such as the swimming pool and other relaxing parts of the hotel which we paid for, was very disappointing as we wanted to relax by the pool which we didn't for the entire stay there. The wedding evening was very noisy and staff were moving heavy furniture at 00.30hours of the night which was very loud, we couldn't sleep & had an early trip the next day, called reception to tell them we were being disturbed, the lady said she will speak to her manager to do something for us, i thought she meant they will move us to another room on a higher floor or something, however, she went off the phone and never came back or called back, the next day when we were checking out, we were asked how was our stay so I explained the above, all the receptionist said is sorry they didn't know of the wedding when we booked and therefore there isn't much they could do. I am most unhappy about the facilities that I had paid for that were not available to me and therefore I would like some credit back into by account for this horrible experience.

Review 45：Hotel restauramt was over-priced and pretentious. Despite being food-lovers, we found the locl restaurants cheaper and fresher. The locality is not great. This is more of an industrial port town, than idyllic town lanes. The hotel is the best thing by a long way in the area, and you should go with that knowledge in hand.

Review 46：Incredibly friendly staff, always helpful, with good English and local advice. Supremely clean. Our room was cleaned daily, and was immaculate, as was the lobby and poolside. The hotel is quiet and tranquil, perfect for a honeymooning couple. There are some local restaurants and a small beach nearby, but this hotel is the standout attraction in the area.

Review 49：We have to pay more because the pictures of our room , published onbooking, for a double was from a suite and the duble room was totallydifferent from the picture (smaller, different bath etc) so they ask 25eur/day for changing the room with a suite even that it was theirproblem...The staff was friendly, except one of the reception who spokesome bad words against us, about our problem, Iike we don'tunderstand italian...but we understood well...

Review 53：Not functioning AC in the room. The smallest shower cabin in the planet (with not properly closable door) for a **** hotel. Soundproof room NOT being soundproof. Quite limited basic selection at breakfast. Cappuccino from a machine only was a major disappoinment.
