Reviews for Baglio Conca d'Oro

Review 1:Hotel with invisible staff. Even the reception. Breakfast the first morning just acceptabel but second morning unacceptable. No restaurants in the neighbourhood and far away from Palermo. Airco didn't work!

Review 2:We could not accept the first room but we got a much better one after complaining.

Review 3:Mosquitos terrible even inside! Restaurant not open whilst we were there! Very difficult to find!

Review 4:We'll appointed hotel, shame we were the only guests. Lovely rooms breakfast resonable

Review 5:We wanted a characterful hotel near the city within easy reach of the airport. This fitted the bill perfectly. Staff couldn't have been friendlier. It's tucked away down a small street, but has spacious secure parking. Too far to walk into the city centre but that wasn't a priority for us.

Review 6:Restaurant was shut for the duration of our stay and there was a very lilited choice at breakfast.

Review 7:very friendly, helpful staff; lovely building with a gorgeous courtyard; nice, comfortable spacious room. Free parking and shuttle bus into Palermo.

Review 8:Breakfast is very simple.

Review 9:Very friendly staff.

Review 10:The location

Review 11:The staff - very helpful

Review 12:We chose this property because of it's location outside the congestion of the city of Palermo. However, we got lost trying to find it every time we returned from an excursion. There are few options for dinner nearby, only one of which is within walking distance. The air conditioning in our room was not working so the room was hot. Ask for an interior room facing the courtyard, away from the traffic noise.

Review 13:The staff was very helpful and spoke English. The building is an historic remodeled paper mill with interior courtyard, furnished with antiques and Scicilian ceramics. The property is well kept and our room was a good size. For a fee, they provide transportation into the historic center of Palermo. Free parking on-site.

Review 14:This hotel is geared to tour groups. We felt that independent travellerswere not catered for. They could not supply lunch - we had to walk downroad to another hotel & they were also set up only to cater for tourgroups. The bar at baglio conca d'ORO had no gin, vodka, whisky, tonicor sprite - all that was on offer was tequila and coke

Review 15:Difficulty in finding location. Difficulty in negotiating streets innormal-sized car. Chose hotel on photo provided on website which showedwonderful views over city, in quiet location fairly close to town. Wasin reality isolated and streets extremely difficult to negotiate asthey are as narrow as a goat track. Probably would have selected ahotel in the city.

Review 16:Quiet location. Helpful staff. Pleasant room.

Review 17:Though conveniently placed for travelling into the centre of Monreale (5 minutes) the immediate area is tricky to drive in and hair-raising for pedestrians. Pity the restaurant was closed both nights we were there; however the fall-back arrangement with Genoardo just down the road works perfectly well.

Review 18:Beautiful building and furnishings, warm and helpful staff. A joy to come back each day.

Review 19:Only negative is the difficulty in finding it when driving.

Review 20:Very attractive remodeled old paper mill, stately without being overlyluxurious, pleasant and helpful reception staff, entrance ramp fromconvenient parking, elevator, ample dining room with good food andreasonably priced local wine served by very accommodating staff. On thedown side, very difficult to reach from central square of Monreale andcertainly not walkable.

Review 21:Fantastic

Review 22:Really enjoyed our short stay, We will be back for sure

Review 23:Charming hotel in a restored old paper mill. Big rooms, good breakfast, excellent comfort. Good value for money.

The Fine Print
