Reviews for Il Vecchio Mulino
Review 1:Wonderful building with many spots to relax, friendly staff, good breakfast with tons of homemade cakes and cookies, good coffee, comfortable room, quiet, wifi
Review 2:Arbatax itself is not the place to stay in our opininon. The city itself has not to much to offer.
Review 3:Nice hotel a little outside Arbatax. Rooms are in ok condition. Breakfast with many home-baked pastry is remarkable.
Review 4:Excelent breakfast with fresh seasonal fruit, a variety of typical cakes and espresso/capuccinno. Only missed a bit more variety when it comes to bread.
Review 5:I liked the friendliness of the staff, the smell of fresh clean floors every day when returning to the room (always spotlessly clean), and the variety of fresh fruit and the nice coffee served for breakfast. The nearest beach and the city center are located 5 to 10 minutes away by car. Quiet hotel.
Review 6:Nothing at all.....will be back

Review 14:I like everything.. room, breakfast, the hospitality.
Review 15:Arbatax is not a very lively place in april. A lot of reataurants are closed.

Review 18:Nice materials old style(wooden floors) big room, one just felt good in this atmosphäre
Review 19:Very nice hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, we liked the beakfast very much!!!
Review 20:breakfast is not in room price
Review 21:good fridgerator in room very clean nice staff
Review 22:The staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us. Which was brilliant as we were travelling with a six month old baby. They even changed our room to a downstairs room.
Review 23:If you don't have car - that place might be hard to reach. Internet on a first floor was week and not stable.
Review 24:Good choice of various breakfast items. Not only traditional crossant and jam as in other places we stayed during the trip in Sardinia. Staff speaks reasonable English. Good location, not too far away from beach and restaurants.
Review 25:very warm and welcoming staff, an easy relaxed atmosphere, beautifully comfortable rooms (ours with access to a roof terrace) and faultless cleanliness and attention to detail.
Review 26:The hotel is in a calm location with quick access to groceries, town centre, beaches, countryside. Having parking, wifi (that works!) and breakfast included was a big plus. The staff were helpful, pleasant, courteous with our requests and in guiding us to sites nearby. The rooms were spacious and well-kept, adequate for us and our two boys (5 and 8).
Review 27:We found Stefano and his mother, who own and run the hotel, to be Kind, considerate, with an eye for detail that made our stay relaxing. Our room went out onto a beautiful roof terrace that gave us a feeling of space and light in the sometimes inclement early spring weather which was very welcome.
Review 28:Comfortable and clean room, very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. The hotel is situated relatively close to the beach and there some good restaurants nearby. However, it's also a very good base for hikes in nerby mountains!
Review 29:This is one of the best 3 star hotels I've ever been to. The rooms are clean and air-conditioned, staff is very friendly and especially helpful. Breakfast is nice- great coffee and lots of cakes and pastry. I've felt very comfy throughout the whole stay.
Review 30:Excellent and truly delicious breakfasts, albeit orientated towards those with a sweet tooth. Very helpful staff who helped make the stay a pleasure.
Review 31:Wi-fi connection was weak at our room, but in lounge it was fine and it is not really important thing for us at vacation.
Review 32:Nice staff, possibility of late check-in and early check-out was needed for us and it wasn't a problem. There are big and clean rooms with air-conditioning, also large bathroom. Various delicious pastries at breakfast were every day new, lots of fruits. The hotel is situated in a very calm place not far from many beaches (you can walk to some but car opens great possibility to change beach every day). We are greatfull to Il Vecchio Mulino hotel for our brilliant week on Sardinia.
Review 33:Everything is perfect - and the young owner speaks good english and are very helpful. Really nice hotel and their breakfast buffet has the best cakes.
Review 34:Many signs directing to hotel but actual hotel sign was difficult to see, must have a car as it was far from city centre to walk
Review 35:Excellent place to relax, hotel had nice and unique character, room was very spacious including bathroom, excellent value for money, good breakfast
Review 36:Very nice and helpful staff ,proper size rooms - very clean, good breakfasts with very nice cakes /freshly baked in the hotel/ , free wifi, nice hotel location, fully deserves 3 stars and maybe even more.
Review 37:Slightly too far from the beach and restaurant area for a comfortablewalk.......use of a car strongly advised. The beach area was lovely, though with only a very limited choice of restaurant, and hardly anyother "resort" facilities.Ideal for a quiet, relaxing break.
Review 38:Extremely well furnished/decorated hotel, oozing with character, whichwas surprising for the budget price (55e b/b for a couple). It`s a familyowned/run hotel, with particularly attentive/curteous staff. Thebreakfast offered a wide selection of pastries, withcereals, yogourt, boiled eggs, croissants ,cheese, ham etc, with the choiceof eating in the well appointed dining ares or an outside small, butattractive patio area.
Review 39:Everything!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. They spoke English. We arrived very early and they checked us in way before check in time. The bus stop to Tortoli was right by the hotel and they were close to the port of Arbatax. A ten minute walk takes you to the sandy beach of Porto Frail is.Most of all the hotel was beautiful both the well furnished pub lic areas and the ultra clean rooms.Breakfast had eggs, juices, fresh fruit , cheese, meats and an assortment of delicious breads and pastries. In the lounge area there were an assortment of picture books depicting scenes of Sardinia. We loved staying here and were sad to leave. During our month long stay in Europe this was by far the best hotel we stayed in.
Review 40:The location of the hotel was not good. It was on the side of astreet. The photograph on your website did not show this. There wasbuilding construction nearby. The noise started at 7.30 - 8am and wokeus every morning.
Review 41:The staff were sofriendly. Nothing was too much for them
Review 42:We especially liked that this hotel offered a 24 hour clerk, it had a television that offered a good selection of channels, and there was a small refrigerator and a safe. The building was very beautiful, in a quiet neighborhood, and within walking distance to restaurants and the beach. Also, there was ample parking just outside on the hotel property. This was the best place we stayed at on our tour of Sardinia.
Review 43:None whatsoever. Unless you don't like sweets at breakfast.
Review 44:This is a real gem on Sardegna's east coast. The room is large, the hotel looks new (but isn't), very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Plenty of quite spots to enjoy the evening or morning sun, a maze in it's own because of the structure of the 'Old Mill'. We enjoyed staying here and we fullheartedly recommend this hotel. Although the hotel has no restaurant, there are plenty of good restaurants in it's vicinity, at walking distance. Easy to find, free parking, free WiFi with stable connections.
Review 45:Great place on a budget..Except for the poor wifi reception I got way more than expected.
Review 46:The friendliness and kindness of the owners. A very nice, cozy and well maintain hotel.
Review 47:Attentive personnel, in a quiet place but close to beach and restaurants (although not so many there).
Review 48:Breakfast, helpfulness of the stuff
Review 49:Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice rooms, good breakfast. Nice location.
Review 50:It was a bit out of the centre of town.
Review 51:The breakfast was great.
Review 52:nothing
Review 53:everthing, nice rooms and a good breakfast: fruit, pie's, bread, croissants, ham, cheese, yogurt, ... nice people/manager
Review 54:Brekfast was really good, comparing to other italian hotels. Location is great, 900m from outstanding beach.
Review 55:Room design, poor information about city, attitude from administration.
Review 56:There was a free parking, good breakfast.
Review 57:Everything was quite good
Review 58:Amazing cakes for breakfast. Big rooms. Fast wifi.
Review 59:Private toilet outside the room, simple breakfast, no tv in the bedroom
Review 60:Nice house, nice garden, clean, bikes
