Hotel Residence sells fast on our site. Set right on the seafront in Amalfi, Hotel Residence has a great central location and panoramic views out over the Mediterranean Sea. Breakfast is served on the hotel's impressive terrace.

Review 1：Great hotel with best staff, location and beds. Beautiful breakfast room with lovely ocean view. Our favourite hotel after a month of travelling in Italy, The ocean is out your door!

Review 2：Stayed during low season. Although price was reasonable the staff were just uninterested. They could hardly bother talking to you. Hotel bar was meant to open from 6pm but lights were off with no staff available.

Review 3：Location is ideal for Amalfi. Bus stop is literally at your door step. Room is a little dated but nice and comfortable. The lift is pretty fancy.

Review 9：Located on the most central location in town very close to everything, right in the entrance of the main Street looking at the sea. Rooms are a bit small but clean and nicely decorated. Interior of the hotel is also interesting designed with status and paintings etc.

Review 41：No full length mirror in the room! Infact there was no mirror in the room, only one in the bathroom. We had a superior room but no tea/coffee making facility in the room which was a disappointment for the price you pay.

Review 48：Nothing. Only that overlooking the beach meant there was no privacy in the room with the curtains open. That's it really. The shutters and soundproofing were also so good we overslept significantly! Not a minus really, when you're on holiday... Finding the car parking was not easy - we would have preferred to have been given directions before arriving, as we ended up parking in one place then moving. We should have phoned in advance though...

Review 56：Loved the fact that this hotel was once a palazzo. Stunning location right on the waterfront, opposite the bus and ferry terminal. I'm coeliac and they had the best-ever gluten-free rolls and a packet of biscuits for me for breakfast. I wished we had stayed longer.

Review 57：The noise from outside and doors closing inside the hotel was annoying. The staff weren'tany where near as accommodating as the many others we have come accross in our travels, it seamed as though everything was a hassle( excluding one young guy who helped with train tickets) The bed was as hard as rock and the pillows were thin. Not what I would expect from such a high rated hotel. The restaurant/bar wasn't open during the day although drinks could be delivered to your room. Not worth the money at all.

Review 59：Bed a bit hard. Got given the wrong bus times by reception which resulted in a very expensive taxi fare back from positano as the last bus was 9pm not 10pm! Thought they could have waived the 11 euro bar bill on check out as an apology but they didn't!

Review 60：Really enjoyed our stay here - had a lovely spacious room overlooking the sea with a small balcony. Loved the buzz of the street below and having breakfast on the terrace every morning. The hotel is decorated very stylishly and has a large dining room with elegant furnishings. I would stay here again .

Review 62：The hotel is right on the beach. I had a front room overlooking the beach. All attractions are easily accessible from here. It is extremely close to both bus and ferry terminals and the main piazza. The staff are switched on and accommodate all requests promptly. They have a professional presence at all times.

Review 63：Due to closeness to town square, it can get noisey with people there late at night, & lorries/traffic early in the morning. Shutters do help. Also Cathedral bells on a Sunday morning.

Review 66：Unless you have no luggage and can hike cobblestone streets high up into the hills, you will not get a hotel in a better location in Amalfi. Hotel Residence is directly across the road from the public section of the beach, a number of waterfront restaurants and the main interchange for busses and ferries. Despite being on the busiest section of road, our room was incredibly quiet, and our sleep was never affected by noise. Breakfast was great out on the terrace, and all the staff there were very friendly and attentive. The pastries are very nice, but you simply must have some of the sausage!

Review 71：This hotel is directly across the road from the Amalfi beach and is on the main street, diagonally across from the bus depot. The hotel staff were lovely, the room size was really good, and even had a balcony which had a bit of an ocean view. The breakfast was good, and they even had soy milk for my cappucino, which I was missing greatly! Overall, I'd highly recommend staying in Amalfi over the other coast towns, even though it's quite a home to get there. This hotel is well suited for your stay on the Amalfi coast.

The breakfast lets the hotel down as the breakfast terrace was lovely and pretty with great views but buffet breakfast was not automatically replenished and not much choice - cereal tasted cheap.
