Reviews for Villa Parri Residenza D'epoca

Review 1:We stayed in a one-bedroom and it was so nice to have a full kitchen to save a few on dining. The views are amazing and the property in gorgeous - the old house is something out of a fairy tail. We could've stayed a week - and would have liked to have been here when the weather was a little warmer to take advantage of the pool. It was a great base to see Cinque Terre, Pisa and Florence. Nice and easy to get on the Autostrada...definitely recommend!

Review 2:Nothing comes to our minds

Review 3:Everything. We just enjoyed the whole atmospere in a beautiful Environment and House with a very friendly and warm host Family. We would recommend these appartments any time for a stay in tuskany.

Review 4:Our stay was too short.

Review 5:The many small sitting area's for a wine sip, all with a view. The Villa is beautiful with many glass details in the windows & doors. Wood carving through out in banisters & doors.

Review 6:That I had to leave

Review 7:Everyone that worked there were perfect souls kind ,generous ,perfect place ,great property ,perfect perfect perfect worth every penny!!!!!!!!'nnnnn

Review 8:Beautiful villa, well kept, in very nice garden and surrounding. Owners and staff are caring and helpful. Located in the middle of Tuscany, so ideal for trips by car.

Review 9:No coffee making facilities in our room!!!!

Review 10:It was just perfect.staff are so attentive and friendly, the rooms are just superb and set in a stunning location,.

Review 11:They have wonderful , excellent breakfast especially compared to price. Excellent concept everything is organic. Nice view, location. The owner is so nice and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Simone who helped us in making reservation to enter to Ufizzi gallery.

Review 12:Everything! Simone, the hotel manager, couldn't have been more helpful if he tried. He made our stay at Villa Parri very special, even coming to find us when we got lost on our day of arrival. Paula prepared the best breakfasts we could have hoped for. Everything about Villa Parri is wonderful ... the location, the rooms, the grounds, the pool .... everything. We have never been to Italy before and decided on Pistoia on a recommendation, which is sometimes dangerous. However, it was fantastic and very Tuscan! A good location for visits to Florence, Lucca, Siena. We'll definitely be back.

Review 13:there was nothing to fault!

Review 14:We would like to say a bigggg thank you to Simone for everything he has done for us ! And not the last for Paula for preparing such a great breakfast! We had an amazing time ! Villa Parri was one off the best we aver been and the attention to detail ' i.e. Brand new furniture, both inside and outside ' . In one word EXQUISITE!!!

Review 15:We received a lovely bottle of red in our room as we were on our honeymoon. Breakfast was amazing. And the guy behind the desk was so helpful with dinner suggestions and with anything we needed.

Review 16:Everything was perfect. Simone the hotel manager was so nice and welcoming. This hotel provides 5-star service and facilities at a very fair price. A rare diamond!

Review 17:We spend 2 great days of our honeymoon at the villa. We loved the pool and the room. Breakfast is excellent. Special thanks to Simone who gave us perfect recommendations for daytime activities and food.

Review 18:not a single thing was bad.

Review 19:everything was perfect, the best "hotel\villa" I've ever stayed in. everything was perfect and simone was awesome.

Review 20:Apartment decor was beautiful, no expense had been spared, all fittings & fixtures were luxurious - it was like staying in a boutique hotel but with fantastic surroundings and facilities to cater for yourselves. We will definitely return but for longer next time

Review 21:The hotel has no restaurant, but there are some in the neighbourhood. You need a car to get there.

Review 22:Very Nice villa with beautiful garden and Swimming pool. Very good breakfast. Lovely rooms.

Review 23:No full length mirror in our apartment.

Review 24:Beautiful house and garden with an excellent secluded pool. The owners are discreet but friendly and helpful and the manager Simone was very helpful. The location is good and the nearby small town had some good restaurants.

Review 25:Beautiful location, the property was small and intimate, with Staff very friendly and helpful. We felt and was treated like a member of the family rather than guests.

Review 26:You can hear the traffic, located near the road from lucca to firenze

Review 27:Extremely friendly staff, Simone and Paolo! Luxurious apartment with well equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom, stylish furniture and a nice terrace. The pool is extraordinary beautiful, an ideal relaxing environment. Very nice breakfast with local products.

Review 28:Nothing! Wish we stayed there longer!

Review 29:Loved the villa, the hosts Paula and Paulo are the most gracious, sweet people we met in Italy. Simone was incredibly helpful in giving us directions and recommending restaurants. We loved our stay and would return again.

Review 30:Villa Parri was absolutely wonderful with its beautiful gardens, exquisite decor and Tuscan charm. Simone was magnifico. We cannot thank him enough for his assistance. His suggestions on locations to visit were excellent. He made all of the arrangements.

Review 31:Nothing

Review 32:Everything! Location, Apartment, gardens and pool areas were all of an exceptional standard. Nothing was too much trouble for Simone who was very welcoming and helpful.

Review 33:This villa was secluded and relaxing. The property is very well manicured and taken care of. There are several sitting areas outside to sit back and relax. There is a pool and hot tub that is located on the property. We had our dog with us and was able to take walks on the property with the dog. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. We would stay here again and recommend it for other travelers to the Tuscany area. We did day trips to Pistoia and Lucca from the villa.

Review 34:Nothing.

Review 35:The entire staff was extremely helpful, especially Simone at the front desk. He is very knowledgeable about the area and has great recommendations. Paula was a wonderful host at breakfast, which had everything you could want including fresh Italian meats and cheeses and much more. The property is absolutely stunning. There are many little private spots to sit and have a glass of wine or just relax. The pool area is first-class. The apartment was great. It was clean, spacious, and had pretty much everything we needed in the way of pots and pans and utensils. It's a good idea to bring a few groceries with you -- particularly if you're arriving in the evening -- as the local grocery stores don't stay open late. We would definitely recommend Villa Parri to anyone.

Review 36:Having to leave.

Review 37:Perfect location centrally located in Tuscany, 8 mins' drive to the train station or autostrade but still a bit up in the hills with a great view. We visited Florence (by train) and Pisa by car, rode bikes in Lucca and hiked in Cinque Terra. Paola and Simone were incredibly welcoming, made a lovely breakfast each day, and even did our laundry for a very reasonable charge (we had been on the road for a while). And it was still incredibly picturesque to read by the pool with the Tuscan scenery (and if anything we spent too little time just relaxing on the property). Plenty of great places to eat in the area, but we also went to a nearby grocery store to stock the fridge with wine and cheese. Can't say enough good things.

Review 38:- Great place/view/location (we had a car). - Extremely friendly owners and helpful staff. - Strong WiFi, very nice pool and garden, children had lots of fun.

Review 39:Nothing!

Review 40:- beautiful recently fully refurbished villa - amazing service (Simone on reception could not have been more kind and helpful our whole stay) - owner really cares about little details making experience unforgettable - great breakfast prepared by Paola - Pool, jacuzzi, gardens...bliss

Review 41:the overall setting/view of the villa is average, looking over some secondary roads and there is a factory nearby. it is not a problem per se, but compared to other villas in tuscany, where the view is often unspoiled and picture perfect, i think it's important to manage your expectations on this point so you won't be disappointed. the towels in bathrooms should be larger; they are fairly small for a bath towel.

Review 42:staff, simone, was so accommodating and helpful. apartments were super comfortable and clean and quiet. easy to get to/from other nearby tuscan/cinque terre destinations. small koi pond and lovely grounds with wonderful flagrant flowers.

Review 43:Felt like waking up in a museum or staying with my old italian aunt. Room, eventhough newly renovated, felt old and "heavy". I would recomend as a beutiful place to visit but not a place to stay overnight.

Review 44:Absolutely amazing garden and breakfast hall, nice views from widnows, very good personal-helped with the info on florence and surroundings

Review 45:The bed and especially the pillows guaranteed a sound night's sleep. The breakfast was first class, and Simone on the reception desk in particular, is an asset to the establishment.

Review 46:Attention to detail throughout the property was excellent. The Villa is ideally located for those wishing to visit the usual tourist spots in the general area Pistoia, Florence,Pisa, Luca. A very warm welcome is extended here and Simone was on hand to answers any questions we had.

Review 47:Great breakfast buffet and made us scrammbled eggs too! Super facilities with a very nice pool, jaccuzzi, multi-gym. Lovely grounds and the DIY flat we had was very practical with fridge, cooker, etc. Paula and Simone were extremely hospitable and helpful, thank you! Pistoia is 10 mins away by car and is well worth a visit with an unexpectedly grand Piazza and nice restaurants. Ca 40 mins from Florence.

Review 48:The kitchen was disappointing. The hob was very temperamental, there were very few utensils and the quality of china was very poor.

Review 49:Really beautiful accommodation, personnel very willing to please and help. The breakfast was superb. Proximity to Pistoia was good and it's central for much sight-seeing.

Review 50:Hotel was as I imagine it - family-run small business with their own olive oil, herbs, really hot peppers ;) Breakfast was really good with all local products. Fantastic views etc. I fully recomand it ! Many thanks for P&P&S

Review 51:We liked everything, from the beautiful setting of the villa and the welcome from Simone who could not do enough to help with our enquiries, to the delicious breakfast prepared by Paola the very friendly owner. Not forgetting the swimming pool and the spa.

Review 52:Villa Parri combines the privacy of renting an appartment and staying in a luxurious hotel. The staff was very welcoming, helped with all kinds of funny requests (advice on restaurants, ironed our laundry) and really made us feel at ease all the time. The appartment was spacy and really nice quality, newly renovated with style. The pool is beautiful - when swimming, you think you are in heaven. Nice breakfast (enough both sweet and savoury choices), worth taking even though one can make one's own breakfast in the appartment.

Review 53:All around wonderful stay. The hotel & grounds are beautiful, and the staff was very attentive. I'd have no reservations about staying at Villa Parri again.

Review 54:Great location, nice and warm hospitality, very good facilities. Room decoration. Clean and nice. enjoyed breakfast very much. For sure we will come back for another great vacation

Review 55:Very friendly, profi, communicative and helpful owner Paula and receptionist Simon. Beautiful villa and location. Very clean, nice swiming pool. We will come back again. :)

Review 56:We liked everything - the very friendly and welcoming attitude of the hosts, the beautiful gardens and especially the pool. The villa is very nice and there is ample space outside to sit privately and read a book or enjoy some local specialities. The room we had was rustique style, it was large and we had everything we needed; the location is great just outside Florence and also very close to visit other places like Pisa, Lucca or Southern Tuscany. Good value for money.

Review 57:Everything. Beautiful location, super linens, nice breakfast Also they recommended a restaurant that was very good.

Review 58:This place is amazing. The large shower alone is a reason to return.

Review 59:nothing

Review 60:everything the place is beautiful and perfect

Review 61:Quiet and stately

Review 62:Beautiful villa, garden and rooms...Everything was high quality and very tasteful. The breakfast was amazing...

Review 63:The price for the appartment with terrace is quite high.

Review 64:Very nice Villa and pool area. Good variety for breakfast, incl. vegetables from the garden.

Review 65:The attention to detail was superb. Loved every minute of our stay in this beautiful villa.

Review 66:absolutely everything.

Review 67:Everything was fantastic.

Review 68:Clean, comfortable and welcoming luxury in the heart of Toscany.

Review 69:Pillows are just weird. Not comfortable I'm afraid.

Review 70:Lovely view, pool is amazing, modern facilities, great wifi, a/c also.

Review 71:Nothing! Prefect hotel! :)

Review 72:I loved the breakfast, the pool and friendly staff always there to give you advice on restaurants and things to do.

Review 73:Everything was wonderful! Special thanks to Simone, who was very helpful and always smiling!

Review 74:great hospitality Location Garden Room Toscana view And more...

Review 75:- Villa really nice - Staff extremely kind - Facilities great

Review 76:the swimming pool garden room

Review 77:Empty fridge

Review 78:Excellent interier and exterier

Review 79:there is nothing to dislike

Review 80:villa Perri is an elegant place to stay and enjoy. Next time we will plan to stay longer

Review 81:spacious, interior room, large varied breakfast and friendly owners / staff. beautiful garden

Review 82:Perfect location, very nice and helpful staff, clear sense of Tuscany everywhere..we would recommend it to anyone!

Review 83:Very, very good and beautiful place! We are going to back in the future, certainly!

Review 84:very nice people. Excellent breakfast. Good to reach Florence and the sea.

Review 85:Lovely Villa. Very friendly and helpful staff and owners. Room was superb and grounds beautiful. Breakfast was amazing.

Review 86:Could possibly benefit from having a kettle in room. Although they do have fridge and water in rooms. Apts obviously different.

Review 87:Excellent location approximately 5 minutes away from centre of Pistoa short distance away close to Florence (15 mins train journey). Extremely peaceful. Very comfortable. Excellent staff/owners very obliging.

Review 88:It is a very charming place. The villa is beautiful and surrounded by a wonderful garden. The garden offers many different places to relax and enjoy. Pool is just fantastic. The family and staff running the place are very friendly and had a lot of good tips for our stay, especially good restaurants. We will come back!

Review 89:No dinner service on site or within walking distance - tough for one who enjoy a lot of drinking with meals. Would be happy to settle with simple food (eg a plate of cold cuts, salad and bread) and wine rather than driving out. It would give us more opportunity to enjoy the beautiful site as well. Also a bit hard to find (GPS won't show it).

Review 90:Beautiful place. Relaxing environment. Great hosts. Tuscan life at its best!

Review 91:Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Review 92:Everything was perfect - atmosphere, garden, very good territory. The personnel is very attentive and the breakfast is tasty. The views from the villa are wonderful. I also liked the smell all over the hotel..) Close to Pistoia - by car it takes you 10 minutes.

Review 93:We were there the end of April and the pool didn't open until May.

Review 94:We had a great and relaxing time here. The villa, the rooms and the garden are absolutely beautiful, just like on the pictures. The room was big and clean. The staff was very friendly and most helpful. Especially Simone. If you are looking for a more luxurious and relaxing spot in Tuscany then this is certainly a great spot!

Review 95:nothing, niks, rien,

Review 96:a super location ! With the most charming service. Simone ontvangt gasten met charme en stijl... zeer vriendelijk Perfecte, luxeinrichting. We hebben genoten, écht genoten.

Review 97:No external windows in apartment made it very dark. Quite a way out of Pistoia so taxis expensive.

Review 98:Large apartment. Beautiful setting. Excellent staff. We were there in October so didn't use leisure facilities like the swimming pool although it looked good. With a car easy to get around and easy to park in Pistoia for the train.

Review 99:Piece of heaven Everything and more that you can expect from your stay in beautiful Tuscany. We stayed in Villa Parri for 4 nights during October 2013 and it was the best place to be. The Villa is in Pistoia which is 30 minutes from Firenze. The Villa is allocated on a mountain and it's outstanding and peaceful. The garden is big and relaxing and the landscape is breathtaking. The Villa was opened just a few months ago and it was designed and decorated in good taste, stylish and high quality. The room is beautiful, modern, comfort and clean, the kitchen provides everything a person can ask (even a dishwasher). From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home. Simone and Paula, the owner, were amazing - friendly, helpful, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had a good time. Simone gave us good information about Pistoia and recommendations of good restaurants. We will definitely visit Villa Parri on our next visit in Tuscany.

Review 100:to find villa you need GPS - you must know it

Review 101:Simply perfect! The best place we have visited, highly recommended! High rating is true. Perfect staff and value for money. Thanks a lot, we were very pleased!

Review 102:The villa itself is perched on a hill with a very stiff climb which can be scary at night. We booked a "standard double" room which apparently was the attic. The room itself was wonderful but we had no idea that the room is up 3 flights of stairs. If we knew, we might've went with one of the more expensive suites to get a lower level. There have been ongoing Internet connection issues all throughout our stay, they were explained by the owner as Telecom Italia issues, which made sense since these problems recurred in other places we stayed.

Review 103:The place is a proper Tuscan Villa, with attached gardens and an amazing view of the Pistoia area. We stayed there for two nights as a base for wheeled trips in the area. The staff was hospitable and welcoming.

Review 104:nothing, just that our stay was too short

Review 105:Highly recommend, very beautiful outside and the Villa itself is very good designed, very new inside, just opened 2 month ago as they mentioned.

Review 106:We had an apartment in the ground-floor but with a different entry than the other rooms in the villa. The main issue with this apartment is the noise you hear in the bedroom from the upper floor but also from outside. There is not a good insulation for the ceiling, the windows, the main door and also there is a water pipe coming from the toilets above and going through the bedroom wall (we can hear when they flush). Fortunately, we were tired enough to get some sleep but we woke up several times from different sounds. Besides this, I don't see any other minus

Review 107:The place is magnificent. It is located just outside of Pistoia, on a hill, and it provides a splendid view and very good facilities. The entire mansion is arranged on a sloppy ground but it is beautifully arranged. From the top it starts with the pool (very nice and splendid view, unfortunately we couldn't use it do to the weather) , the jacuzzi and the mini-gym being in the open, a lot of terraces with a lot of green, many ornamental trees and green areas, the villa itself. Everything is a beauty for the eye. The furniture in the rooms is rustic and has elements of old-age. The breakfast was very good and also (if you have a kitchen like we had, I don't know if all the rooms have) you can prepare you own breakfast or other meals. There is also a barbecue facility. The people is very kind and supportive. Also there is free wi-fi and there are no problems with the parking. The location is close to Florence (40 km, we went by train which has a good schedule), Lucca, Collodi, Pisa, Montecatini. A very nice place were we had a very good time.

The Fine Print

Final cleaning is included. Extra cleaning is on request and at extra cost.
