Reviews for Alla Corte Delle Terme Resort
Review 1:Having to pay €20 a night for a cot in the room, and also the fact of having a kettle but tea costing €3.00.
Review 2:Staff, cleanliness, nearness to the Terme dei Papi.
Review 3:Nothing not to like
Review 4:Everything to like, a really top hotel in a great location and with excellent facilities. Breakfast was really good with a great choice. Lovely gardens, secure parking and a very quiet tranquil location.
Review 5:Located in an agricultural area, and a bit off the main attractions. Bathroom has small shower.
Review 6:Large room and quiet location with garden and swimming pool. The dinner at the restaurant has a good price/performance and the staff is very friendly.
Review 7:The whole hotel was too hot: the rooms and common areas as well. Air conditioning was very weak and rooms were small. The bed in one of the rooms was not levelled, so my friend fell during the night and hurt her head. Sorry to say it was not a nice stay.
Review 8:Great pool and garden, excellent cuisine and good breakfast. Good location for those who want to visit the baths.
Review 9:Isolated in a kind of desolate flat farmland. Flies in the room were a nuisance. Something odd and uninteresting about the resort.
Review 10:accommodations are spacious and modern, great bathroom and shower area. Not a bad drive to Viterbo but takes a bit of getting used to.
Review 11:Floor in the room was full of dead flies - thanks for dealing with them, but it will be much better if they will be removed before our arrival...
Review 12:Nice and quite place just to relax. Had a dinner there and the food was perfect. But coming there with kids was a bad idea - this is definitely an adult kind of place, where you don't want someone kids make any noise... Good that we've stayed only for one night on our way to Rome!
Review 13:Only 1 or 2 staff spoke a very SNALL amount of English...this was a real problem all round but on the day we were arriving we got delayed and tried to phone the hotel to explain and no one could understand us and kept hanging up. ALL info in room in Italian but NO Info about facilities there. NO fire Plan.Had to go and BUY fly spray as room invaded regularly and the hotel couldn't provide any! Shabby room def not a Junior suite as booked..shower rusty and old. Bedlinen grey not WHITE. This was hotel should not be classed as 4*.
Review 14:Food was good in restaurant but no light snacks available say for lunchtime.
Review 15:Cobwebs under the nightstand and external wooden doors in bedroom.
Review 16:Nice, quiet location outside of Viterbo. The rooms are clean, very spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent price - value ratio. We would definitely come again and recommend it.
Review 17:The location and the village of Viterbo is not the nicest location. The resort itself is a few kilometers from Viterbo, in an agricultural envirenmont. In the evening, some days you could smell that. Having a car is a must if you want to get around.
Review 18:We (two couples) stayed for five days and it was close to perfection. Beautiful rooms, nice pool and outdoor garden, very good restaurant in the resort : we had dinner each evening in the resort, with good four course menu's of 25 or 30 euro, water and coffee included. Menu's changed every day. Rooms were spacy, in fact it had a kind of seperate sitting area, and airco worked well and silent. Only the shower (shower box) could be better. Never had that level of service (pool, lobby, restaurant, cleaning), nothing was too much. In combination with very moderate prices, the best price/quality I ever had.
Review 19:The was fantastic but the air conditioning didn't work which we couldn't sleep. The night porter did his best for us and moved us to another room at 2am which was slightly better.
Review 20:The facility was exceptional food very tasty with a great variety for breakfast. The room was very large and opened onto a garden
Review 21:It is out of town so a car is necessary but so worth is as there is a lot to see in Viterbo.
Review 22:Large spacious comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Quiet area. Beautiful court yard for lounging.
Review 23:Comfortable room. Club-like atmosphere. Helpful personnel. Tasty dishes and good wines at the restaurant. The Terme kit (18 euro) is very convenient. We also recommend a bike ride to the Etruscan necropolis next door (2-3 km, free bikes).
Review 24:We had a suit and the children slept on a sofa in the other room. However there was not door between the bedroom and the other door, resulting in a lack of privacy.
Review 25:The bed was really comfortable, and the room had a lovely open door on a garden, The children loved the shuttle service to the Terme dei Papi.
Review 26:On booking it said the shuttle service to the thermal baths was free, but we were told in the hotel at checkout that we had to pay: €10!! Cobwebs on the walls and light fittings. No hot water on the first day due to a breakdown. Lights went out due to de -magnetizing of room key card, had to go to reception to get it fixed. Wrong room at check in : double room instead of junior suite. Quickly sorted, though! Charged for thermal baths through hotel when we had already paid at the baths.
Review 27:Well priced dinner menu. Very friendly, efficent staff. Free bicycles.
Review 28:They don't serve lunch. Closest town was 10-15 mins drive (it has a Maccas yukkk .. but as we were starving ...)
Review 29:What a wonderful place to relax. The grounds were just gorgeous and the in-house massage heavenly. We booked for one night and stayed for two. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. We would definitely visit again.
Review 30:The shower was not a 4 star hotel. In the pictures you see a big pool with termal water but it is not in the hotel, its 5 min drive from there and it costs 18euros /person. The hotel is in the middle on nowhere, so if you dont have a car you cant go out.
Review 31:Big room
Review 32:The meal on our last evening was very poor. A lot of money for a tough, rough sirloin. It was totally at variance with the rest of our experience.
Review 33:The quality of the staff. Our meal the first evening, The excellent organisation of our visit to Termi dei Papi
Review 34:I would expect a safe in the room (given the level of all other facilities).
Review 35:Excellent rooms, good facilities with transport service to thermal pool nearby. Diner + bf both good. Nice setup of locating rooms around a square. Free parking facilities. Would stay again in this location.
Review 36:Good location if you have a car to drive around and see nearby places. Otherwise quite far from everything.
Review 37:Such a nice place! The rooms were spacious, staff extremely friendly and the surroundings beautiful. We were positively surprised with the quality of the hotel and our room, great value for money. Can't fault it in any way and wish we could stay longer.
Review 38:I wish if there were a small kitchenette to prepare some food.
Review 39:Staff were really friendly & helpful, the hotel is nice and modern& the smell of the room and bathroom are incredibly great.
Review 40:Beautiful. Surroundings in thr olive groves and amid the etruscan remains
Review 41:None
Review 42:Great country resort close to Rome. Loved staff, room, fine food, massage & grounds. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Review 43:Beautiful setting with a lovely pool. Great breakfast and spacious, comfortable room.
Review 44:Not so close to Rome =(
Review 45:Restaurant is perfect, environment, the court are nice. Stuff is friendly
Review 46:Shower holder was broken. Found a spider near window. Dead flies. Dirty couch.
Review 47:Friendly stuff. Quiet room. Nice pool and great view.
Review 48:Unfortunately, we're family and I only slept one night but we will definitely come again and stay longer , because we really liked everything.
Review 49:Everything!
Review 50:Bad experience in restaurant of the property.
Review 51:All the property, facilities, real 4*
Review 52:The location is a bit remote and most of travelers who stay here should have their own cars. The dinner we had there was excellent.
Review 53:Fantastic facility!
Review 54:comfortable
Review 55:Distance from town when dependant on shuttle or taxi.
Review 56:Beautifully run - awesome restaurant, very comfortable
Review 57:The room very spacious and very well furnished. The staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant quite good and not expensive
Review 58:The resto is dissapointing... The fish is not fresh..the cooking of the meat mediocre
Review 59:Nothing..
Review 60:Everything especially the super helpful and nice staff
Review 61:Intimacy and personal service
Review 62:Typical indifference to the complaint that internet didn't work at any point during our stay. (They just shrug....oh well.) Very frustrating for us because we were traveling, and needed to plan for the next days.
Review 63:We have stayed before; best hotel around if you are going to the thermal baths nearby. Room is spotless and beautifully maintained. Very functional. Very kind staff. Lovely gardens, perfectly kept.
Review 64:I liked everything! Wonderful staff attitudes towards guests .... fulfilled all reasonable requests. The restaurant is very tasty food!!!! I have been enjoying my stay in this hotel.
Review 65:The price a bit high in relation with the services
Review 66:The staff was extremely professional and pleasant, the location is veryrelaxing, perfectly integrate in the nature, the country suite wasreally confortable.
Review 67:During September they have turned off the air conditioning, so we wouldhave preferred having a room with a window we could open for air flow(ours did not have one, but we noticed other rooms did, so next time wewill request a room with a window opening into the courtyard). But weopened our double doors onto the patio/bedroom and also the double doorsonto the courtyard and received cross ventilation until bedtime. Itturned out to be very comfortable sleeping temperature even with thedoors closed. The bed was a little firm for our tastes (we like a softermattress), so the staff brought us an extra duvet comforter we used as amattress cover which was very nice. Overall, we were quite pleased andenjoyed our stay very much! It was well worth the cost and good valuefor the quality of the Resort.
Review 68:The Resort gave us a peaceful, restful atmosphere at the end of a hecticcruise ship travel schedule. We stayed two nights. The room and gardenswere relaxing and we enjoyed sitting in the courtyard before dinner witha glass of wine talking about our sightseeing day. The staff spokeenough English to provide for our needs and transported us into Viterboand to the Terme dei Papi spa on several occasions. The dinner served atthe hotel was excellent and plentiful as well as the free breakfast. It's location is a few miles outside of town, so if you are going to doa lot of independent traveling in the area it would be better to haveyour own car. We did not do this, but relied on their shuttle bus to gointo Viterbo and later to the spa and back. The second day we used alocal tour guide to drive us to a few key sites we wanted to see beforewe caught our flight back to usa on the third day. Next time we come tothe Viterbo area, we would stay here for a longer period of time, rent acar so we could explore the area on our own, and mix that with days ofrelaxation at the Alla Corte Delle Terme Resort and the nearby Terme deiPapi hot springs spa (they spoke very little English at the Terme deiPapi spa so be sure to get good directions from the Resort staff beforeyou go). We found good local day-trip maps and information in English atthe Viterbo tourist office. Since this area is not swarmed by manytourists, few people speak English so it would be good to have anItalian phrase book with you in order to ask directions, order frommenus, etc. Most signs at sights of interest are in English and Italian. The Resort had enough staff that spoke a little English that made ourstay most enjoyable and friendly. I would recommend at least 5-7 days tohave a relaxed but wonderful stay seeing the local small medieval andEtruscan towns and sights. We especially enjoyed the nearby Etruscanburial caves which are within 2 miles of this Resort.
Review 69:Did not like having to pay 10 Euros per person per day for access to the Terme. It should be a 10 Euro charge for 24 hours, not every day. We arrived in late afternoon, paid 10 Euros for that Terme visit and then had to pay an additional 10 Euros for a Terme visit the next day.
Review 70:Hotel is modern, well appointed, has a friendly staff and offers access to the wonderful mineral bath pools at Terme de Papi.
Review 71:That we weren't staying longer
Review 72:Everything was wonderful, the service to the pools, the room, the food was all great.
