Reviews for Yallingup Forest Resort

Review 1:Nothing bad just a few suggestions, a full length mirror would be handy and face washers.

Review 2:Self contained kitchen, laundry, deck and surrounds were beautiful. Birds especially kookaburras flying in each morning were lovely.

Review 3:We were located quite a distance away from the swimming pool and, with small children, we ended up having to drive there. We also had ants in the kitchen however the problem was dealt with promptly by the staff.

Review 4:Very clean and spacious accommodation in a beautiful secluded setting in the national park.

Review 5:Creaky floors and doors are a bit annoying with small napping children. Would have been better to know that we shared a villa with someone as it looks more private on website, but good if you were travelling with another family.

Review 6:Beautiful spot, clean and tidy, pool was nice, great wildlife.

Review 7:You can hear everything from the chalet next door including there television, walking and talking.

Review 8:Great location where we were able to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Review 9:Insulation between challets could be better for noise reduction

Review 10:The privacy, peaceful, comfortable, had everything there, close to everything. Best place I have ever stayed.

Review 11:The South West of wa is the most expensive part of the most expensivestate in the most expensive country in the world. Even compared to othercomparable destinations in Australia, eg Nth Queensland it issignificantly overpriced. The accommodation was not as bad as otherservices but the cost of restaurants, cafes, food and wine and touristattractions were high.

Review 12:The location was superb nestled in the native vegetation with birds andanimals. The location was also hand y to an umber of attractions wevisited such as the Ngilgi Caves, Wineries, Breweries,Yallingup Beachand local cafes and restaurants. Staff were really irrelevant as we onlysaw them on arrival but everything that should have been in the housewas there.

Review 13:Nothing to dislike about this accommodation for this particular trip.

Review 14:I loved the surrounding forest, although not a suitable location if you don't have a car. The chalet was spacious and well equipped.

Review 15:Chalets weren't individual, chalets were split into two sections, with a locked door in the middle, overall less secluded than I was expecting.

Review 16:Yallingup location was great.

Review 17:wish it had at least a queen bed we had a double. the facilities and reception could be better

Review 18:the location was great easy to get to both Yallingup and dunsborough

Review 19:Cottages were clean and comfortable and positioned away from other cottages. Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly. Pool tennis courts and playground were excellent for kids.

Review 20:The instructions to clean the place before you left For the price, they shouldn't ask you to wash your dishes and clean your own unit with the threat of additional fees Build that into the price and you will have happier customers Also, the chalet has 2 accommodations. With wooden floors and thin walls, you hear everything

Review 21:We pretty much had the resort to ourselves the first couple of days, it was awesome! The birds are very tame and come right up to you - gorgeous! The kangaroos bouncing past and the lovely walks

Review 22:Only one problem we had was trying to light the oven.

Review 23:We liked everything about the place. The cabin was perfect and very comfortable. The fire had been lit so when we arrived it was nice no warm. Excellent.

Review 24:Only one bedroom heater in a two bedroom chalet.

Review 25:Very clean spacious and comfortable chalet, well equipped, nicely furnished and set in beautiful quiet forrest surroundings. Staff were friendly and helpful. The chalets are semi detached, and include laundry facilities.

Review 26:The only drawback was the large verandah all around made the chalet a little dark. I am partial to bright spaces so perhaps it is personal preference. I'm sure it is ideal for spring and summer months for this reason.

Review 27:The location was very tranquil and peaceful and we saw kangaroos right up close to our chalet. The kitchen was well equipped and the rooms a good size.

Review 28:Very noisy neighbours :(

Review 29:Beautiful setting. Were lucky enough to have some cute kookaburras visit us on our first evening and a family of maggies the next morning! Beautiful clean and tidy

Review 30:Could hear the footsteps and voices of people sharing the other half of our chalet. I thought we would have our own. Toilet paper ran out and no spare! "Resort" was a bit of a stretch.

Review 31:Beautiful forest setting, clean accommodation, very pleasant staff.

Review 32:I was lead to believe that the accommodation was walking distance from the beach but is actually 3km without a walking/cycle path. I booked accommodation on this belief and was disappointed.

Review 33:Love the peace and quiet, facilities were A1- excellent venue.

Review 34:The chalet was not clean, dust and glass found under couches. Carpets dirty, bedding was dusty. Cutlery and crockery hadn't been cleaned by precious guests.

Review 35:Good location

Review 36:Didn't like how close the property next door was as could hear other visitors and was conscious to keep noise down.

Review 37:Love the location and the veranda/view

Review 38:Staff refused to sell the chalet to me so I could call it my very own home... So cruel :P

Review 39:Very homely chalets, privately situated and very tranquil, to sit on the patio and have native wildlife to come so close and be so friendly was extraordinary, will definitely be back.

Review 40:Nothing to complain about.

Review 41:Our chalet was simple but very clean and functional. All you need is there and in good condition. Location is just fantastic and staff is very friendly. We enjoyed a week of totally quiet and relaxing holidays with our 22 months old daughter.

Review 42:It's in a fantastic location, very close to dunsborough and yallingup while being nestled in the bush and so quiet and peaceful. The accommodation is well thought out with everything you need to be self sufficient. Nice lounge space and reasonable size kitchen, large main bedroom with smaller room that we used to put our portacot in for our little man. Great laundry facilities also. We had lovely kookaburras visit on the veranda which our son loved!!

Review 43:no air con, poor seals on windows and doors so wind penetrates. Setting is really quite degraded bushland. Houses and general impression is it's tired and worn. It's cabins but not a resort.

Review 44:Play area, size of house

Review 45:Timber structure shakes when walking. No air con during a heat wave made sleeping difficult. Thick cotton standard hotel sheets are noisy. Gas stove too hard to light.

Review 46:Natural setting, no mozzies, great fresh breeze in the evening - sitting on verandah viewing wildlife was great. Very quiet and relaxing. Local aquifer water was wonderful. Would be ideal in spring or autumn.

Review 47:The only issue is that each cabin shares a wall with another. We found this awkward as we are early risers and our neighbour's were obviously not :( We are not an excessively noisy family however, the single wall is non forgiving from a sound proof perspective.

Review 48:The cabins are well appointed and a great place to stay for a night or extended stay.

Review 49:Would be nice if wifi was available and if the television reception was better. But I do understand that the location, had bearing to these services.Overall a lovely stay

Review 50:We loved that the Resort was away from the town. The timber shacks with verandas around blended well with the surrounding landscape. The lovely natural bush setting, birds & trees and it was still central to lots of activities.Having the Bush Shack Brewery on site was a great bonus, great foods/beers/drinks.

Review 51:Unfortunately, the family next to us had a very young child who seemed unsettled most of the time and in the very early hours of the morning.

Review 52:We have always loved the quiet beauty of the forest. We love the feeling that you are there alone.

Review 53:Noisy neighbors. Our duplex was the location of a nightly reunion party that was not particularly loud, but voices travel very easily through the adjoining walls. I have visited twice and this has been a problem both times.

Review 54:The location is wonderful. Beautiful setting close to many excellent attractions. Amenities are great - common BBQ area was in excellent condition and very clean.

Review 55:At night it wasn't all that warm and even with all the extra blankets on the bed it was still cold in the bed (no quilt) but I wasn't cold enough to put the heater on. If we had been in the chalet behind us our view would have been the one we were staying in, which would have ruined the feeling of solitude we had in our chalet.

Review 56:We loved the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, the proximity to the Bush Shack Brewery, the views, the peace and quiet. This place gives you rest, relaxation and you are close to anything you could possibly want to do. Its fantastic and I fully intend to return. try to request chalet 11

Review 57:Having to leave and head back to the city!!

Review 58:The location and the layout of the Chalet was ideal for us. Removed from the business of the town but so conveniently located in the region. The Kangaroos were a bonus!

Review 59:Don't think Icould fault it!

Review 60:Loved the feeling of peace and quiet, no noise of vehicles or people, the perfect getting away from it all and being at one with nature.

Review 61:Maybe a shelf in the kitchen would make things easier just to place groceries on. A signboard of the resort that is easier to find.

Review 62:Very spacious. Has everything you need. Quiet.

Review 63:Our stay was to short, would of been very happy to stay longer if we had the time.

Review 64:The location, peaceful setting and wildlife. We were very happy with our 2 bedroom spacious chalet, plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 small children.

Review 65:We booked a 2 night stay, the chalet was very clean on arrival and beds super comfortable. Very roomy and quite for a family holiday. The bathroom separate to the toilet which was excellent. Perfect location, easy to reach other local sight seeing destinations. Close to Dunsborough and other towns. Relaxing atmosphere, enjoyable stay. Loved the wildlife and quietness, we were very happy and enjoyed our stay very much. Will visit again!

Review 66:No air conditioning so can get warm

Review 67:On sites pool and pub. Roomy and we'll appointed. Great bush setting

Review 68:Ceiling fans not enough to keep it cool on hot summer nights.

Review 69:Great location and service.

Review 70:the price for what it was

Review 71:The location was excellant. the place was clean and adequately equipped

Review 72:Bed not very comfortable. Too hard

Review 95:Loved the bush surroundings

Review 96:A lot of activities available and the promptness of response when there was a minor issue.
