Reviews for Villa Rigacci Hotel

Review 1:The complex is amazingly beautiful. The room is well maintained and furnished, and very cozy. The landlord and his son were very kind to help us search for local places of interest. We even took our pre-wedding photos on the complexed and it turned out very nice. We had a wonderful time.

Review 2:We enjoyed wonderful food, especially very rich and tasty breakfast. Very peaceful place. Owner is very kind and all stuff very helpful. Wifi and parking works perfectly.

Review 3:He rooms were very clean and spacious and the overall feel of the place was relaxed. The staff were really helpful and breakfast was amazing. It is was great place to go to get away to after visiting Florence and Rome

Review 4:Finding the hotel is not so easy from the other side of the road (from the north) as the sign only face to one side and the house numbers are not in sequence. The free wi-fi is also not stable in the room.

Review 5:Wonderful historical building with traditional Tuscan room design. Very nice staffs and owner. Restaurant has good food and good view. And off course free parking.

Review 6:The swimming-pool was closed (pools at other hotels we visited in Toscany were open this time of the year), the playground out of order. Bad maintenance of the garden, no service at the terrace (which was dirty). Bad smell in the room.

Review 7:Friendly staff, nice cuisine, good wines, good breakfast.

Review 8:Very comfortable Tuscan villa with excellent friendly staff and in a great location to visit the places of interest in Tuscany. Wonderful restaurant on site and a plentiful, varied and very tasty breakfast.

Review 9:We stayed at Villa Rigacci in mid October. What beautiful grounds and the warm hospitality of Federico and the staff. The breakfast was so fresh and delicious as was the dinner in the evening. We will definitely come back and this time bring our kids. The surroundings are exactly what Tuscany is about. Bellissimo!!!

Review 10:we had an economy room - no airco and noisy air vent in the bathroom - but clean and nice room

Review 11:beautiful old building with lots of character - very quiet in a nice garden/park - excellent breakfast - beautiful outside terrace for breakfast and dinner - nice swimming pool - owners speak French (Mr) and English (Mrs) so no language problems - they are very helpfull for any kind of information

Review 12:Wifi was sometimes a little intermittent. The walls were also a little thin, especially when people were leaving early.

Review 13:The villa is a beautiful fascinating old building. The pool was lovely and in a pretty setting. The terrance was a perfect place for dinner. The staff were cheerful and charming. Nothing was too much trouble.

Review 14:Bathrooms - they are a bit old, the location would be perfect with refurbished bathrooms.

Review 15:The personnel is friendly and very helpful, food is amazing. The Brunello di Montalcino wine has an incredible price for its quality.

Review 16:Very confortable place and very kind staff !!

Review 17:Nothing.

Review 18:Everything.

Review 19:Close to Florence but a bit far for attractions at the south of Tuscany

Review 20:Magical romantic place

Review 21:None

Review 22:Amazing service and fantastic food. Also eating outside on the terrace with the fantastic view made our dinner so much more enjoyable.

Review 23:Everything was great!

Review 24:The bed in the room was not very comfortable.

Review 25:Everything at this hotel was perfect - the food, the service, the staff.

Review 26:Nothing

Review 27:Excellent diner, near The mall, authentic Tuscany villa

Review 28:Beautiful location and very welcoming and helpful friendly staff

Review 29:The host and our welcome and goodbye, the pool, the breakfast and the setting with flowers and all things Tuscan and Max the dog. These were our faves. Great food and very nice staff. Wonderful stay!

Review 30:We have been for 6 nights, everything was just perfect ! the location, the facilities, the food and the wine... the staff is very kind, and the most important thing, Mr. Fredricco, the manager/owner, very warm and kind !!!!!!!!!

Review 31:It's a perfect location for a relaxing holiday .The staff is very helpful and you feel like home. It's a 15 century villa in a very good state and it's like in those movies where you can see the beauty of Tuscany. Here you can find the true italian spirit. The food was very good and something you should try is the "Bistecca alla fiorentina" which was perfect.I definitely recomand it!

Review 32:Nothing at all.

Review 33:Me and my group of friend from Malaysia were amazed with the villa, the super friendly staff, the great breakfast and the beautiful surrounding. I will definitely come back and also recommend this villa to my friend. This villa is truly Italian.

Review 34:Beautiful place, very kind owner of the villa and very friendly personal. Excellent meal, romantic and home atmosphere. Exceptional villa Rigacci a Regello.

Review 35:We arrived having driven through a hail storm quite late on a Sunday night to warm welcome, open fire, glass of good wine, warm and spacious room with bathtub as I had requested. Fantastic breakfast with home made cakes and delicious breads. Owners charming and could not do enough to make us feel comfortable.

Review 36:It is too bad that it is not closer to Florence, it would make it a perfect vacation spot for our family.

Review 37:The room and facility had very nice italian charm, a very nice setting. The rooms were immaculate and the owner was extremely accomodating, he made the stay feel like we were part of the family. The countryside was beautiful and it is relatively close to the shopping outlets in Reggello.

Review 38:My favorite hotel stay in Italy. An absolute pleasure.Fantastic how the family created this hotel, you feel yourself at home. The owner, Federico, is the most hospitable hotelier we have ever come across. An absolute great room with a great view. Breakfast is made by the family and is extremely good !! Everything was so fresh and nicely presented . Unfortunately we stayed only two nights but for sure a top location !! We very much recommend the villa for a relaxing getaway in beautiful Tuscany. Thank you for your kind hospitality.

Review 39:The loungers by the pool could do with cleaning up a bit more regularly, and the outdoor facilities (notably bar) possibly could be utilised better. There should be a bar, or at least someone in attendance, near the restaurant & sitting room pre-dinner. You can usually get drinks when you want, but finding someone is not all that easy ouside of core restaurant hours (from 7:15pm). The games, sets of cards, etc. need sorting out into somefull sets if they are to be of use and not just clutter!

Review 40:Villa Rigacci is a countryside hotel that looks as if it has been adapted from a kind of manor house. The courtyard is slightly reminiscent of a small village square, with its own chapel (there is actually a small chapel). It sits in mature well-tended gardens which themselves overlook a small river valley with sandy/clay hills beyond and fields with horses. The outdoor swimming pool is not heated - so is bracing for a minute or two - but is fairly large. The owner Frederico and the staff are very friendly, easy-going and attentive. Food is high quality Tuscan - not fancy but very well prepared and reasonably priced. Probably as good value as anywhere in Florence / Tuscany. Unfortunately, Angelo (chef)would not let me have the recipe for his cheesecake (totally understand). Small, but good, reasonably priced wine list. The overall ambience of the villa is great. Other bonuses: 1. only 30min or so by train to Florence from Figline (5-10 min drive over the other side of A1/E23 motorway) on the main line. Could do similar to Arezzo and save hassle of traffic and parking. 2. To the east are mountains beyond Reggello with woodland nature reserve and giant monastery. 3. To the west are chianti towns and vineyards / olive groves.

Review 41:No hot water for the shower... so don't be in a hurry. Temperature overall was a little chilly - heat was not yet turned on for the fall, and the blankets were thin.

Review 42:Wonderful 500 year old Manor house. Excellent staff - especially the evening waiter! Super location near "The MALL" a high end designer outlet. The owners really aim to please. Part of the charm is the age of the building - so don't expect perfection. Grounds were very picturesque. Lovely spot.

Review 43:Only great things to say!! :-)

Review 44:Everything was fantastic. The owner made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. Fantastic surroundings. The room was above all expectations, so cosy and romantic and pretty, you did not want to leave. The staff were great. The best place to be and great for exploring winery, shopping Florence and Pisa ect.

Review 45:My husband and two children (ages 7 and 9) recently stayed at VillaRigacci for 4 nights. We absolutely loved the experience starting withthe warm and kind greeting from the owner Frederique to the fragrantflowers around the property and lovely pool. The 600+ year old propertyhas been very nicely maintained and is centrally located to many of thetop villages to visit (Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca, Pisa). The pool wasa perfect way to end a long day of site seeing and the restaurant a trueauthentic Tuscan treat. I don't think we left a morsel on any of ourplates. The breakfast was a lovely assortment of baked good and italianmeats and cheeses. There was an amazing green tomato spread that weenjoyed. The service impeccable. Frederique was helpful with all ourneeds. I particularly appreciated his help navigating the town and thelocal pharmacy when an issue arose. We would love to return... And nexttime attend the July Siena Palio.

Review 46:Quaint olde world hotel in lovely rural setting. Buildings are full of character and staff are friendly and helpful. Beautiful swimming pool and good location to visit Florence by train and to tour Chianti hills.

Review 47:Beautiful scenery, very friendly owner, nice breakfast, great swimming pool (though it was to cold for us to dip in), a real Tuscan countryside experience.

Review 48:Absolutely nothing except leaving!

Review 49:From the moment we arrived we were treated as if we were part of the family! The owner, Federico, is the most hospitable hotelier we have ever come across and nothing is too much trouble for him. An absolute delight. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean and the breakfast first class. Everything was so fresh and nicely presented and the waitress so helpful and cheerful. We ate in the restaurant the first night we were there and had a lovely meal with a bottle of excellent local wine followed by the best Grappa we have ever tasted. Another feature of Villa Rigacci is Max - their Border Collie - who is almost as hospitable as Federico! Would love to return and would certainly not look at alternative hotels in that area of Tuscany when we next visit.

Review 50:Use a GPS to calculate your way there. It is in a wonderful location, but not as easy to find as the printed directions given from their brochure.

Review 51:The restaurant was excellent. Go in spring to experience everything in bloom. The service was warm and friendly from our interactions with the owners of the villa and to our host and waiter in the restaurant.

Review 52:Calling Villa Rigacci a B& B just doesn't convey the ambiance of this magnificient place. The old world charm is mixed with modern convinences and then seasoned to perfection by the outstanding service of the the entire staff from the owner/operator Alice and his dog Max. The greeting you receive from both Alice and Max make you feel more at home with friends than in a hotel. We were there for a week, driving around to different parts of Tuscany each day.The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable and we had a big balcony where we caught up on e-mails each evening. An early morning walk around the villa's wooded grounds was perfect for working up an appetite for the enormous breakfast served by Barbara. By the second morning she knew exactly how we liked are coffee and eggs. Mid week I ordered a surprise birthday cake for my wife that was served together with champagne and much fanfare by our waiter,Ali, at the end of a superb, romantic dinner in the villa's quiet dining room. We very much recommend the villa for a relaxing getaway in beautiful Tuscany.

Review 53:We have booked this hotel as overnight stop to our trip to south ofItaly, but were sad to leave. It surpassed our expectation. Courteousstaff and very friendly owner created very positive atmosphere in hoteland made our stay very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast in hotel werealso very supporting to create our good impression of stay.

Review 54:Out of every place that my mum and I stayed at on our stay in Europe this was by far the best! It was more like a home than a hotel. The staff made you feel like it was your home. They have a dog called Max and three horses (the Black one is Bella) which I was able to feed. Wow, the food was perfect and there was nothing I could complain about. I am going to recommend this place to everyone I know.

Review 55:Excellent restaurant!!! It's a pity that it was not open every day since it was winter time my last stay. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Difinitely wanna to come back in the summer to enjoy the different Tuscany.

Review 56:Very pleasant location

Review 59:heating system a bit exagerated

Review 60:Location, old style, family atmosphere

Review 61:Great Family atmosphere with guests from all over the world.

Review 62:Relaxed staff, cosy atmosphere

Review 63:Location Villa itself Food in the restaurant Breakfast Old fashioned design

Review 64:too far from motorway

Review 65:Really good environment and decoration was really impressive.
