Review 1：The design and function very poor and also the staff

Review 2：It is in the very city center and it has a garage . Also the man who took care of our car was very polite and effective

Review 5：Staff unfriendly. They refused to give me an itemization of charges or a copy of my bill, though copy machine was on and behind the front desk. Noisy and difficult to get there - many stairs with bags. Hard bed. Room not appealing. Had to leave the place after two nights.

Review 7：We parked our car at a municipal parking in the mountain. There weren't any signs in English while we drove to parking place. We decided to ask the receptionist about parking afterwards. She told us that we will pay 20 euro per night at parking. The surprise was when we returned to parking after two night and received a bill for 126 euro, only for parking! Another couple paid 250 euro for four night. When I returned to the hotel they told me that it's my fault and they told me that I should sign a special contract for overnight parking. But she didn't tell me anything. The room was very noisy until 11pm because there was a restaurant just under our room. UPDATE: After I published this review the Hotel Amalfi contacted booking.com and asked to remove this review because I never stayed in Hotel Amalfi. I provided a statement from my bank and asked booking.com to update this review to lower their score and to add this update.

Review 8：Asked for a special room as it was husbands Birthday and this was ready on our arrival. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent access to the town, transport and all walks.

Review 12：No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Had to request drinking glasses and were begrudgingly given plastic ones. Offered a dingy room on arrival previosly inhabited by smokers. Moved to a better room. Concerned about hotel security.

Review 19：Nothing 'bad'. As was typical throughout our stay in Italy the Wi-fi was slow and the beds were simply firmer than we'd like. You will need to climb stairs to get to the main entrance but there's an elevator to get to the rooms.

Review 20：The location, staff and breakfast were fantastic. It was a short walk from the ferry and perfectly centred in Amalfi. Sadly, I've forgotten the name of the young lady working the front desk most days we were there but she was always happy to answer our questions (we had a lot), knowledgable and very friendly. The room was a good size, clean and very well kept. The breakfast was easily our favourite of anywhere we stayed but that may have purely been the fresh pastries...

Review 23：In my opinion hotel amalfi is ideally located, it's close to everything, yet set back from the noisy street. The hotel went out of their way to make our stay great and hassle-free, e.g. Arranging transfers / car parking. Breakfast was delicious (a fantastic excuse to eat multiple slices of cake!), although there were plenty of healthy options, e.g. Fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc. twinnings English tea is served if you are so inclined or fresh coffee. Our room made our holiday really, it was a garden room with a balcony with a view to die for! There is one flight of steps that you have to go up from the street, but from there on you can use the lift, so unless you literally can't climb a flight of steps, then this is not an issue. The staff were pleasant and friendly and ready to help. I would most certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 24：We were suppose to call them 20 minutes before we arrived with our car which we weren't aware of. Other than that everything was good.

Review 25：Not as expensive as the other amalfi coast town but really easy to get to Capri & Positano on day trips. Its a great place to stay as a base if you want to explore its a 5 min walk away from the bus stop and harbour. The hotel is basic and clean but the staff are really helpful and the breakfast was great.

Review 30：When we arrived we didn't liked our room it was extra small and the bed is looking to the toilets. When we ask to use the safe we were told to give 20€ deposit for the key (never heard about hotel that do so) The staff didn't help us to feel better with room change and doesn't seems to be so care about it. And the windows don't have sound proofing so we had sleeping problems even in 2:00 AM

Review 31：The location is in the center of the center and the wifi was good. The breakfast place is on the roof and it's a very beautiful place to eat.

Review 32：The gentleman who parked our car was very rude and carried on about how we lied about the size of our car when we made the reservation. We didn't know what kind of car we would have until that morning so that was not even possible. Because the hotel is in the plaza, the hours that you can take your car out are limited.

Review 43：The bedding is awful, concrete matresse, one hospital thin pillow, sheet for a blanket. Worst sleep we have ever had. Breakfast is awful and boring. Can only get one small coffee asked for a second and rude breakfast staff lady advised we are pushing it and would have to pay (when breakfast is included). Hotel is very nosie 24/7. For the money they charge they should upgrade breakfast and bedding, take it from the 80s into to 21st centre. Seriously bedding is that bad, can only sleep on your back as it hurts to sleep any other way the bed is that hard. If your a bigger person you will not fit in the shower. Size 8 can't move in it.

Review 45：First room we were given had bad smell in it, we were given another room immediately after complaining. This second room had very tiny shower and no window - only the door.. But it has small terrace with a nice view, with the very old plastic furniture on the terrace, with spiders under the chairs. For almost 100 euro a night we paid we might end up in a much nicer place, if not booked in the last week before the holidays. No wi-fi in the room.

Review 89：It is a very nice hotel. The location is great for my taste, maybe you don`t have views of the sea, but you are just a few steps away from the city center, which is lovely, and just 2 blocks away from the beach.

Review 90：the attitude of the staff, was a disgrace, from day one, we booked a large family of 9 in three rooms, each arriving and leaving different dates, the breakfast was included, but the manager tried to charge us for our other family members whom had paid already, even though they didnt come for breakfast each day, then there was the night porter whom shouted at the family members when they came in one evening after 2am, as we were in Amalfi for a wedding, they arrived back this time to be told you cant come back in and out again, they left, and were forced to stay with another family member this evening, wifi is not in all areas of the hotel, the advert should not say free wifi I have received a bill with my phone provider of £65 due to the fact the free wifi only exists in the foyer and roof top area, wouldnt recommend this hotel what soever, there are far nicer for far less and with staff that have a nicer manner.

The hotel transport to and from the airport was excellent and it was worth the cost to have our heavy bags transported for us and a comfortable ride on either the coast or the mountain roads. The roof terrace was lovely.

Review 108：As arriving in Amalfi is very busy and the Hotel is in a limited traffic zone the staff were very helpful in sending someone to meet unto drive to the off site parking place. The room we stayed in was a garden room detached from the actual hotel and very quiet, with its own balcony. Although o sea view it was a benefit given tag the nights are list in the street and it was quiet in our room.

When we came back from dinner around midnight,they didn't want to give us our passports back, even though theroom was paid for in advance.
