Reviews for Relais et Châteaux Hotel Villa Franceschi

Review 1:Beautiful hotel, we stayed two nights. The decoration is very Venetian style. The room was big and very comfortable. Fantastic breakfast. Everything was perfect.

Review 2:Bathroom has no fan or A/C. We had to leave window open to let the steam from the shower out, since it was very hot and humid outside, this was not a satisfying solution. The door to the bedroom with excellent A/C had to remain closed otherwise it turned off, so the temperature change was always a difference of 15 degrees. In summer that is OK, but I wonder how the winter will be with the windows having to stay open in the bathroom.

Review 3:we were upgraded to a Junior Suite. Breakfast was excellent. The gardens are beautiful. Walking distance to the bus to Padua and Venice with a map and schedule given.

Review 4:Location next to the street, pictures are a bit misleading, no pool, no spa, don't know where 5 stars are coming from

Review 5:Spacious rooms, beautiful park

Review 6:Didn't stay in the villa but the other part. The toilet had an unpleasant odor of which the whole room smelled, the shower curtain was horrible......the aircon did not work (the explanation that this was a computer glitch in the oh so modern system did not ring true as other guests told me their room also had a problem), the restaurant was closed. All in all for a five star hotel there were too many issues

Review 7:the setting is nice and the villa itself looks great inside, the garden nicely laid out and is quiet

Review 8:A second stay in two years because this hotel is excellent. The grounds are beautiful, the breakfast very impressive, and the staff are uniformly excellent.

Review 9:Nothing

Review 10:Location, charming room and wonderful outdoor breakfast in early May, which makes you feel so relaxed. The harmony which is everywhere makes every minute worth staying there!

Review 11:we stayed in a spacious deluxe double room on the ancient separate villa from the main building. I have been back several times at Villa Franceschi and found once again, service food and cleanness consistent and of an excellent standard. What I like most is the quietness and home like atmosphere, the beautiful garden and very competent and friendly staff. The location is perfect to visit Venice; whether is by your own car, bus or, if you like even by boat through river Brenta.

Review 12:Lack of fitness. The one is inside is a joke....they shell or make a real small fitness or not claim it.

Review 13:All, towels, food, service, płace! Very good place to go to Venice by car. Familly ambience.

Review 14:I have nothing negative to say.

Review 15:The staff were very courteous, helpful and very friendly. We enjoyed an excellent lunch at the restaurant and the breakfast had plenty to offer every morning. The suite/room was ideal for us as a family of four and the kids loved the split level sleeping arrangement. We took the bus to Venice (about 40mins) on the first afternoon which was a short walking distance from the hotel. The second day we drove and it took only 20mins. So all in all for us it was the perfect choice to enjoy a beautiful hotel and excellent service whilst being able to visit Venice.

Review 16:Excellent location....easy bus ride to Venice...no traffic problems. Wonderful hosts, breakfast, accomodations. We will select this 'Villa' again when we return to the area.

Review 17:We stayed for 2 nights at Villa Franceschi on our way back home. This is a fantastic hotel if you want to visit Venice and surroundings. The staff is very customer oriented and ensures that you feel at home from the moment you enter the hotel. They gave fantastic tips what is the best way to visit Venice. We had a 2 level family room and the children immediately declared the second floor as theirs. The hotel has a very nice restaurant, where the staff is very flexible to adapt the menu for the children. By the way, the breakfast is one of the better ones that I have seen in Italy.

Review 18:Hotel restaurant menu a bit intimidating and expensive looking. We preferred the more basic and friendly trattoria next door.

Review 19:Beautiful, spacious room with lovely furniture and furnishings + big shower room with lovely tiles on wall and floor + own patio facing pretty garden. Good parking. Good WiFi. Excellent trattoria restaurant next door.

Review 20:weak internet personally slightly too warm to get a good sleep at night

Review 36:the kindness of the staff is amazingly excellent

Review 37:everything

Review 38:Beautiful hotel, good parking facilities . Very comfortable beds

Review 39:A lovely quiet place to stay within easy reach of Venice . With very helpful and friendly staff .

Review 40:Our stay was too short!

Review 41:We were enchanted by the location, historic villa and staff, and plan to return.

Review 42:Moskitos

Review 43:Spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful grounds.

Review 44:We loved the gardens , the excellent service and the superb food. Enjoyed our stay.

Review 45:Extremelly beautiful setting of this old villa with magnificent private garden Friendly, personal and professional staff Perfect hotel that merits all the stars! And re-incarnate the feeling of the charming villas along the Brenta canal Highly recommended!!

Review 46:Everything was just perfect in the hotel and it was easy to find the way to the huge car parking places in Venice. I would recommend to use your own car when travelling with the kids even though there was a bus connection to Venice quite close to the hotel.

Review 47:Total luxury. Staff very welcoming and professional. They took the trouble to arrange a cake for my husbands birthday when asked. Great food. Such beautiful buildings in a lovely location. We loved it.

Review 48:We were asked not to open windows but as the shutters permanently were down, we preferred to open the windows so that we could look at the garden. In October airco was not functioning anymore so therefore we opened the windows. The food in the restaurant was not bad but too expensive related tot its quality.

Review 49:A perfect hotel to be when you dont want to stay in Venice itself. Our room was cosy and comfortable and beautifully furnished, worth the price. The staff was very kind and helpful. Beautiful location on a 20 minute drive to Venice where we could park in a parkhouse at the Piazzale Roma for euro 26 a day. In October this was possible, in midsummer maybe you have to park on the very big parking further away. Two bus tickets from the busstop at 500 m from the hotel to Venice were Euro 16. Touring along the Brenta to Malcontenta, Mira, Dolo, Padua was great as well.

Review 50:No real negatives

Review 51:An elegant and historical hotel in a small town removed from the Venice frenzy. Very helpful staff, nice breakfast, very large room, park like grounds

Review 52:1. On the arrival day we were super hungry, they offered some salads and drinks which was nice, but it was pricey. Maybe I should've asked menu and price first. Besides this, everything was fine.2. On day 2 we put 'do not disturb' sign on the door as we leave, when we came back found out they DID cleaned the room, and some trash in our carrier bag (I still don't know how it got in there anyways...), my wife filed big complaint. After that no issue at all. This hotel is great place to stay. Definitely would come back and stay in the future. I wouldn't stay at hotel near/or in Mestre. That area looks ghetto.

Review 53:1. They hooked me up w/ unlimited Wi-Fi for all devices I have. I thought it would cost 7 euro per hr.2. Airconditioning worked great 3. there is local restaurant right outside the hotel gate. The lady is super nice and foods are great. Most restaurants serve dinner from 1930ish though. 4. local supermarkets are everywhere where you can get fresh grocery shopping. 5. Everyday we drove to Mestre train station and parked there about 15 euros all day. Easy access to Venice. There are two parking garages. one on the right operated by old couple where you can only park till 2000, but if u go furthere like 100 m, there is big main automatic parking lot right across street from the station.

Review 54:mosquito, but it's summer time ;-(

Review 55:Really nice hotel. Big room and nice bathroom. Strongly recommend restaurant. Fantastic menu for reasonable price. Staff is very nice. Breakfast really good.

Review 56:none.

Review 57:nice room, stylish and classic design. We recommended to the people or family who travel to Venice. Friendly staff helped us to book taxi from airport and also guide us to take local bus. I enjoy the stay very much.

Review 58:Villa Franceschi was a beautiful place to stay. The room we had was spotless, beautifully appointed, comfortable and a highlight of our stay in Italy. Venice was only a half hour away on the bus and the entire hotel was a lovely place to walk around - the grounds were divine, so peaceful and serene and well maintained.

Review 59:Really nothing, without nit-picking

Review 60:Large rooms with small private ouside garden for each room on the ground floor Staff & management as good as you will ever find, charming and very helpful Very good value, large bedroom, and beautiful large lounge/bar area Garden is well maintained as are the alfrescoe bar and dining areas

Review 61:I'd give this hotel 10 stars IF it had a free wiFi and a kettle in the room

Review 62:Beautiful hotel in fantastic, tranquil settings, stunning gardens, extremely friendly and welcoming staff, very good restaurant with amazing chef. It is greatly positioned if you want to explore the area around Venice and are driving, as it has a secure car park and is not far from the main motorway connecting Milan and Venice.
