Reviews for B&B Antichi Colori Cinisi
Review 1:The decor was a little strange
Review 2:The room was great, excellent value for money. Very convenient location for the airport. If you stay here I would recommend going to the restaurant L'Abbeveratoio, their meals were delicious!
Review 3:Room freshener diffusers were over powering. Not good for someone with perfume sensitivity.
Review 4:The decor is very fun. Very unique with a lot of special touches everywhere.
Review 5:Saw a beetle in the room but couldn't catch it.
Review 6:The reception was very supportive. Maps, recommendations for dinner and diesel were spot-on. The room was unique. The house was separate from the reception area on a quieter street.
Review 7:It has the decor, design and comfort of a four-star hotel. The friendly and professional staff gave all necessary information for a quick overnight stay before heading to the airport.
Review 8:I didn't like waking up before my 10 hour flight and realizing that there is no lights or water !!! As explained by stuff member " blackout" , even though there were lights on other streets . At least candles or flashlites and some water gallons could be provided
Review 9:Friendly stuff , good communication , updated and roomy bathrooms , short ride to the airport
Review 10:Our suite had no outside window so for a claustrophobe it was a challenge but the bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing.
Review 11:Our hostess recommended a great restaurant and helped us find our way in our car to the airport. We needed to change our original reservation and she was very accommodating, giving us a suite for the price of our reserved smaller room.
Review 12:My husband and I had a very comfortable stay. The staff were more than obliging - they couldn't have done more to make our stay more comfortable. I would recommend this B&B to other travelers.
Review 13:A very nice b&b. The room is new, comfortable and clean. The staff are very helpful. They provide early shuttle service which is very convenient to travel to the airport especially when you got an early flight.
Review 14:The internet did not work - luckily I was only there for one night. Also, the address listed was not the address where I slept. I arrived at 10pm at night and if I had not been able to call them, they wouldnt have known I was there.
Review 15:The staff was amazingly sweet. Claudio was a gem. They went above and beyond and made me eggs etc for breakfast and upgraded my room. The decor is so adorable.
Review 16:The owner and staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Our room was fantastic and the artwork was really cool! Loved everything about the B&B.
Review 17:No disappointments.
Review 18:Tina was the consummate host. Every possible detail was attended to...way beyond expectations. She helped us enjoy our stay by making suggestions for dining, sightseeing and even sent over some wine glasses and an opener for our farewell toast. I would go back without hesitation.
Review 19:I would not recommend for long stay as the room we had had no windows. Apart from that, everything was perfect.
Review 20:We stayed one night with our two babies before our early morning departure from Palermo airport. We had a warm welcome late in the evening, the room quality was outstanding.
Review 21:We loved everything!!
Review 22:That every room had their own design and theme. Everything was modern, clean and welcoming. Great service. Transport 24/7. They recommended a restaurant near by which was fabulous. We even got a discount thanks to the hotel. I wish we could move into one of these rooms. This is probably the best hotel I have ever visited to such good price. Great location!
Review 23:Nothing to complain about.
Review 24:We loved the layout, cleanliness and decor of the room. Good size room, big shower and bathroom. The bed was comfortable and big. We loved how the rooms are named after Sicilian desserts!
Review 25:I thought 20 euros for a 10 min transfer to the airport was needlessly expensive, especially if you had to share the transfer with other guests. The good value of the room made this more acceptable
Review 26:Lovely, warm welcome from all. The accommodation was spotless and the rooms were fabulously designed, making great use of the space. All facilities you could need were provided. Great value too
Review 27:The friendliness of Tina the owner and her staff who were very helpful with the delivery of medication needed for the trip. Very pleasant room cheerfully decorated.
Review 28:We reserved this place for the last evening of our trip in Sicily in order “to have something close to the airport”. We discovered a beautiful B&B with an extremely gentle and helpful owner. And even the breakfast at 06:45 in the morning is lovely. (The B&B has a shuttle to the airport!)
Review 29:I love this property! The service is fantastic The rooms are clean and equipped with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stress free stay. The people running the establishment really show a wonderful hospitality and will go out of there way to meet all your needs. This is the second time I have gone to the B and B and will keep going there every year to come. This place is an absolute gem!
Review 30:Very helpful staff - even minded our suitcases while we drove around Sicily. Close to Palermo airport, very convenient and super cute rooms with locally-inspired designs. Very comfortable and everything worked. Even had more-than-enough electricity points!
Review 31:Very good breakfast, teh room was renovated recently in an excellent style (in the sign of shells), enough room even for four people, the room looks very fresh and modern
Review 32:nothing to dislike... because of our early flight we didn't have time to have breakfast in the morning but we could have helped ourselves
Review 33:very warm helpful owner, every comfort in room, characterful village but only 10 mins from airport (for our early flight) - would have liked to have more time to explore it and its marina
Review 34:Nothing
Review 35:Great little B&B, close to Palermo airport if that is a better location to stay at (not close to Palermo). Facilities great, staff very friendly and accommodating, breakfast plentiful. Wifi good
Review 36:The breakfast and the host were beyond excellent!! Decor in the dining was themed for Easter and the Welcome Basket in the room was much appreciated. The shower and bathroom had nice lighting and were very updated!!!
Review 37:We enjoyed everything about our stay
Review 38:Toni is a force of nature: arranges super early breakfasts for early morning flights, recommends great restaurants, has brand new, beautiful facilities and makes you feel like you're her only guest.
Review 39:The room was comfortable and beautifully presented. The breakfast room had a good variety of food. (We had an early departure so helped ourselves). Quite close to the airport in Palermo.
Review 40:Very helpful staff and very well appointed B&B. Lovely to have a kettle (although hard to find a socket!) and a fabulous shower. Great touches such as a tray with a welcoming drink on our return from a day in Palermo. Pick ups arranged from the metro and to the airport. Highly recommended.
Review 41:The transfer to the airport is quite expensive (20 Euros for 4 klm). Also the room is rather cold and has only air conditioning
Review 42:The staff was very helpful and the room cute and comfortable
Review 43:Had emailed in advance about traveling with an elderly couple that had mobility concerns. At checkin, this was acknowledged and we were accommodated professionally, respectfully, easily. Much appreciated!
Review 44:On and off repetitive mechanical sound at night kept one of us up at night (in the Cozze room), I did not sleep well. This may not be a problem for everyone.
Review 45:Breakfast, reference to local restaurant, room decoration.
Review 46:Arrived late into Palermo airport. Hotel was well placed near airport and only a short drive from the car rental. Liked everything from the room to the shower facilities and the breakfast. All excellent.
Review 47:Outstanding service! Hotel staff is very friendly and is always willing to help. Breakfast is great and even available, as self service, before official breakfast time. Some restaurants are nearby and the town's mainstreet is just around the corner.
Review 48:We loved everything about the B and B.
Review 49:Tina and her husband were incredible..we arrived New Years day, lots of things were closed..they picked us up at the airport, drove us to another town for dinner and arranged for the restaurant to bring us back...and took us to the airport...the B and B should be in Architectural Digest as each room is whimsical, fun, clean as a whistle, and attention paid to every detail...and breakfast was remarkable in the variety of fresh food and local dishes...Put this B and B on your bucket list...
Review 50:Nothing!
Review 51:The staff were extremely kind & helpful - nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to make it an enjoyable stay; at the B&B itself, as well as within the local area itself. The B&B is very unique in its design, and has a great feel to it. Clean & tidy throughout. The breakfast was consistently very good, and there was a self service selection of food also. A really lovely stay; thank you Tina & Claudio (and the rest of the Antichi Colori team).
Review 52:Easy to find from Airport, didn't have to mess with notorious Palermo traffic. Lovely breakfast, Tina added a few places to our tour of Sicily that made the trip more memorable. And the cannoli room is a must!
Review 53:Arriving on a late flight into Palermo, this hotel was just the thing before heading off for the rest of our holiday. Friendly staff, and a good breakfast for an excellent price.
Review 54:No negatives
Review 55:Location near the airport Creative contemporary decor Spotlessly clean and comfortable Best shower ever Flexible and very accommodating staff, Warm welcome even though we arrived early Prompt transportation to and from the airport, even at 5am The hostess made reservations for dinner at a wonderful restaurant with great food and great service Graciously and professionally took care of our every need
Review 56:No complaints at all!
Review 57:We stayed one night prior to an early flight at the airport. Tina greeted us and quickly arranged for someone to show us the way to return our rental car and then transfer us back to the B&B. She also recommended a local restaurant for dinner, drove us there and arranged a lift back. She arranged our transfer to the airport at 5 am the following morning . She was very efficient, and at the same time thoughtful and hospitable. Our room was lovely. We would definitely stay here again.
Review 58:Delightful stay in a modern, artistically presented set of rooms, within a several hundred year old building. Location within the town is fine and it is close to Palermo airport, without any of the associated noise.
Review 59:Cinisi itself is not the prettiest town
Review 60:This is a very modern and comfortable B&B, with great access to the airport and to the beaches of Castelmarre. Our hostess helped with an airport transfer and restaurant suggestions.
Review 61:Very warm welcome. Tina could not be more helpful and friendly. Handy for the airport but really quiet. Not a bit surprised to find that airline pilots stop over there. Astonishingly original decor. Amazing breakfast, and the best shower we had all week. Do yourself a favour and stay here.
Review 62:The design is good and facilities look good. Unfortunately the high tech looking shower flooded the whole toilet... As we only stayed for 1 night for the early morning flight so we did not bother to change to another room
Review 63:The fact that I only had maybe 5 hours there in total.
Review 64:Owner's prompt and graceful response to my middle of the night arrival with no prior notice. Unique, tasteful decor.
Review 65:The B&B was LOVELY!! Very charming and the staff was superb! The owner Tina was very helpful andmade an excellent suggestion for dinner our first night. The rooms are exceptionally decorated and they are extremely comfortable! The bathroom was very updated and the shower was heavenly!! This B&B was my favorite place in my two week stay and I will most certainly recommend it to friends and family! I will return to stay in this quaint Sicilian town of Cinisi!
Review 66:A friend and I needed a hotel close to the airport as we had a very late arriving flight. The B&B was not far from the airport (so ideally located), they can arrange transfers (competitively priced). The room was gorgeous, spacious, with an excellent bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were especially appreciated by two weary travellers. Breakfast the next day was served on the roof terrace, looking out over the little town and up to the mountains. It was of exceptional standard and we were even served fresh fruit, which is quite unusual. All the staff were friendly and incredibly helpful, making our stay memorable. All in all a lovely experience and I'd definitely return.
Review 67:Nothing- go there yourself to experience this great place!
Review 68:Very friendly owner from Danish origin, great modern rooms with each a "delicious" theme (sicilian specialties), yummy breakfast, beautiful building, excellent location (10 min from airport, 20 min from palermo, close to beautiful beaches)! A true gem and unique b&b where the lovely owner makes you feel at home immediately! She even bought us a honeymoon gift, which we found as a surprise at breakfast! Thank you so much for making out short stay so sweet! :-)
Review 69:Couldn't find a restaurant to eat in for lunch and the store we bought some sandwich fixings in closed as soon as we left. Can't comment on the breakfast as we left before it started. The hotel office was hard to find and the hotel was in two separate building. Another than that, it is a great hotel!
Review 70:Even though we were in a different building (3 or 4 blocks away) the room was the best on our trip. The shower was full size, also a first on our trip, with rain shower and wall jets. The decor was excellent, with a big TV, stereo, remotes for everything. You could have just stay in the bed and enjoyed yourself. The room came with a mini frig and coffee/tea makings. Wish all my rooms would have been like this one. I am only sorry it was a one night stop and the town didn't have more to offer.
Review 71:Claudio, the young man who met us, was exceptional, very professional. He provided services beyond the call of duty. This location is very close to the airport in Palermo and far from beautiful beaches.
Review 72:No phones in the rooms!
Review 73:Only one night here t the end of our trip. Close to Palermo Airport. We were a group with 3 rooms so we were housed in their annex building around the corner. Was a rehabbed bldg. with 3 rooms on the ground level. A locked door on the outside. Very new, clean and modern. Each room has it's own motif. We were in the ricotta room. Nice comfy big bed. Nice hot shower. With multiple heads. A quiet town. Had a wonderful dinner on our last night in Sicily, a small town, mostly residential but only about an hour from the magnificent Cathedral of Monreale, a sight to take in.We left too early in the am for breakfast.
Review 74:Cinisi is not exactly a travel destination, but a nice, quiet place to stay prior to an early morning departure from Falcone. We slept well and it took us about 7 minutes to the airport rental car return which was amazingly well marked (not something common in Sicily!).
Review 75:We were contacted early in the day asking our estimated time of arrival, and were cordially met by the owner and her manager, Claudio. We were able to park right in front of the units (which are around the corner from the office) which was a relief, on a quiet street. The rooms are amazing, very artistic and with beautiful, up-to-the minute amenities. The WiFi was fast and easy to connect with, and we were advised of a good restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was ready for our early departure.
Review 76:Nothing that I can think of.
Review 77:The design and care; super-cool fixtures (and worked well too). Owner, an architect, was really kind and thoughtful. All kinds of wonderful touches. Great breakfast area--could get nice food and beverages (self-serve) even though we had to leave at 4:30 a.m. for an early flight. Would love to go back.
Review 78:That we could not stay longer.
Review 79:Wonderful welcome, great service, splendid facility with lovely touches that make each room special. The owner and the staff definitely take great pride in what they. Perfection in all and a great value.
Review 80:Very noisy during the early hours - almost like furniture moving - very disruptive sleep.
Review 81:Room was exquisite- so much effort and thought. Bathroom was everything you might need including a bath ! Tina was incredibly helpful and organised. Everything was just perfect
Review 82:Nothing - it was a joy to stay here.
Review 83:Most comfortable bed of my holiday and I had a choice of bath or shower in the huge bathroom. Although I left very early for the airport they still made sure I had a substantial and tasty breakfast. The location for Palermo airport is superb, but I would stay here again just for the sheer pleasure. The owner and her team looked after my every need and anticipated far more than I required.
Review 84:The hotel was well located near the airport. We only stayed overnight due to early flight out of Palermo. But once I saw the B&B I regretted not getting there earlier. We me the owner and she was very very pleasant. Will definitely go again and recommend it.
Review 85:no window in the room
Review 86:Room very clean, modern and quiet A good breakfast on the terrace in the morning This B&B is very practical at the arrival because very closed to the Falcone and Borsellino airport and they were waiting for us at our arrival in the evening (9:00 PM)
Review 87:Nothing.
Review 88:We stayed in the 'Moules' room. Each room is decorated to a theme and all are amazing. Huge and fantastic shower. Large room. Comfortable bed. Very close to Palermo airport, so good for a late arrival or early departure. We left without having breakfast as our flight was very early, but the B&B had left us some food to serve ourselves. Easy to find although rooms are in 2 locations in the town.
Review 89:Staff were excellent, spoke fluent English and provided recommendations for dinner etc. The rooms were bright and funky and very clean! Although on a fairly busy road (& our room was right next to the street) we slept well as the room had double glazing and noise was minimal. Would definitely recommend to others.
Review 90:Nothing I didn't like about it at all!!!
Review 91:We loved everything about the B&B antichi Colori...the staff were great, moved our rooms when they realized we were a group of five traveling together and recommended a great restaurant for dinner. The rooms were spotless and the bathrooms were totally updated and clean too..the decor was unique and fun. We loved it!!
Review 92:I loved this place nothing bad to report
Review 93:The rooms were high quality and also very uniquely designed were Fun and interesting and great bathroom. There were so many little touches to discover about the place and a roof terrace Great staff Great breakfast 10 mins from the airport
Review 94:Leaving.
Review 95:Danish host owner Tina has created a little jewel in Cinisi, close to the Falcone Borsellino Airport of Palermo. The first element that struck us was the immediate and personal attention to our booking, offering assistance, and confirmation. When we were on our way to Palermo, we were asked to call 10 mins. ahead of our arrival, ensuring presence on location at check-in. There was reliability, precision, and good vibes at every point of our contact with B&B Antichi Colori. The new and modern facility has an impeccable attention to detail in its construction - every detail has been studied to use space efficiently, while making sure all is functional. Breakfast is a little wonder of Denmark and Italy all mixed together. Sicily meets Denmark on the sweets side, while those of us having a preference for Nordic style bread and salami, cheese and tomatoes were satisfied. Admiring Tina's artwork - little masterwork paintings of Danish scenery placed on a shelf in the breakfast room - made breakfast a further pleasure. We were catching an early flight out, and everything had to be on rails in order for us to get four people coordinated, packed, fed, and checked out before 7am. The combination of precision, attention to detail, personal care and reassurances when needed all helped us enjoy while keeping to schedule. The minibar was stocked the way a Scandinavian would stock it, and the shelf room for posing your cellphone or other object next to your bed all came with electrical outlets. A very competent business owner, an artist, a human being with a capacity to understand travellers' needs and services delivery.
Review 96:- the breakfast place is closed by (less than 5min walk) but not in the building - we ordered a pick up for a family of 5 at Palermo train station and were picked up on time in a nice car but in a 5 seaters car, so had to travel with one of my kids on the knees to the B&B. We mentionned we weren't happy with this and this was adressed for our drop off at the airport in the morning :-) - the previous people had smoked in one of room
Review 97:- rooms are nice and spacious, very clean and modern with plenty confy pillows and very good beds - the breakfast is delicious with plenty quality choices - the people managing the place are friendly and very responsive to feedbacks - there are little stories about mosaics and art in the rooms and at breakfast. Educative and different!
Review 98:Really interesting combination of vintage architecture with modern decor. Each room is unique and the shower was excellent. Street parking is plentiful and free.
Review 99:Our room hadn't a window throught the exterior, even if all is new and modern decorated, the smell is of an old house and I personally don't like this. Cinisi also it's not my kind of city, but it's quiet even if it's close to the airport.
Review 100:Good if you have a flight early in the morning. The rooms are beautiful, modern decorated.
Review 101:Everything about B&B Antichi Colori Cinisi was perfect. Lovely, comfortable room with a fabulous shower. All very clean and high tech. Lovely breakfast and great service. Couldn't ask for anything more. Would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend it.
Review 102:In our room, "Arancina", we did feel as if we were in a goldfish bowl with the big window and only a (slightly broken) curtain rather than a wall to hide us from the world outside. No serious complaint, though!
Review 103:The flexible attitude of the staff, the amazing room decor, the comfortable bed and great shower. Great breakfast too. X
Review 104:I couldn't fault anything.
Review 105:The staff we very helpful, especially when I discovered I left my cabin bag in the room, we had left for airport at 5am and realized when I got there I forgot the bag, I call one staff's cell number she woke up and organized a driver to bring my bag to me in 10 minutes he was there, I couldn't have been any happier.
Review 106:Perfect location close to the airport but quiet. Parking in front of the hotel. Clean and comfortable, very good breakfast on the top floor at the sun. Very friendly & accommodating staff, very useful tips. We enjoyed a lot our stay. Thanks again for your home.
Review 107:See above.
Review 108:Air conditioner was good. Bed was comfortable but handle falling off bathroom door and workmanship of facility was shoddy as things were falling apart even though pretty new.
Review 109:Loved everything about this place. The room was very theatrical, also very spacious, clean and comfortable. Family run, all very kins and very hospitable. Breakfast in the terrace was wonderful Was stuck at the airport at 2 am with no taxi around and they picked me up. I only have good things to say about my stay here.
Review 110:Great room- we were in the "mussel" room, which is brilliantly thought out and very comfy. As an added bonus, breakfast was also really good. We were stuffed full by the end!
Review 111:The most friendly and classy B&B we have ever stayed in. A family run business that offers first class service over and above expectations. Christina is a lovely young lady who arranged transfers for us to pick us up from our apartment in Palermo and also an early airport drop off. On arrival we were checked-in whilst Claudio delivered our bags to the room and even though we had arrived earlier than check-in it was not a problem which gave us time to enjoy a day at the beach. We were lucky enough to see all the new themed rooms which were amazing and especially loved the luxury shower. Tina arranged a restaurant for us and dropped us there and arranged for owner to bring us home. Claudio got up really early to prepare a wonderful breakfast which we were not expecting and then dropped us at airport to catch an early flight. Although we only booked this hotel for location to airport we intend to return and stay longer as had such a wonderful stay. Well done Tina and family you have everything just right!
Review 112:Having to leave.
Review 113:This was our last stay before the airport and although all previous hotels had been 4* and 5*only here did we find fully functioning and effective air conditioning, bathroom with bath and separate shower and lots of space, peaceful sleep and a personal wake-up call followed by a varied and delicious breakfast. Our charming hosts gave everybody personal attention....they booked the perfect restaurant and introduced us to other guests ensuring a pleasant and lively evening.Absolutely brilliant......and all flight nerves banished;we will remember their kindness.
Review 114:Cinisi itself isn't brilliant but the B&B recommended a lovely restaurant.
Review 115:This was an excellent B&B for an overnight stay before our early flight from Palermo. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Slightly confusing that there are 2 hotels with the same name only a few minutes apart and we didn't realise that the driver was waiting to take us to the other B&B for breakfast! A time was arranged by text to pick us up from the train station and then back to the airport in the morning. Highly recommended.
Review 116:Close to Palermo airport. Second time I stayed..wonderful staff..wonderful place.I highly recommend it!
Review 117:Breakfast; intresting house
