Reviews for Hotel Carmen
Review 1:During extremely hot weather the air conditioning in our room was not up to the task. According to hotel owner Carmen repairs had just been made but not completed due to parts that were not yet available.
Review 2:Location can be bad or good depending on what you are looking for. Hotel Carmen is quietly located at the end of a bay. The nearest town however is Pula which is a 30 min drive. Breakfast was simple but adequate.
Review 3:Maybe an elevator but you can do some sports:))
Review 4:It's really a special place , in the heart of a splendid bay! The fact that there is no network for the phone it's a good way to find serenity and calm your mind. Carmen and her husband are very polite and always ready for your needs
Review 5:No air conditioning in the room. Couldn't pay by card. Menu was in Croation, German and Italian but not in English.
Review 6:The swimming pool area is great. Relaxing location.
Review 7:The hotel can be found in such a small village that you can not do anything there - except for, of course, having a bath in the sea. If you wish to have a good dinner, or just have an ice cream, you have to go by car.
Review 8:The pool is beautiful. Carmen, the owner is helpful.
Review 9:It was fantastic , the staff are very friendly and professional . owner is available at any time to all, and very friendly . nature is stunning , if you want to move away from the city crowd , I recommend this hotel . food is perfect , right Mediterranean , the sea is clear and clean . in a word, the very class service , see you next year
Review 10:The warm hospitality of the staff. Mrs Carmen is a gentle and affective person. The place is in the middle of the nature, you can find isolated beaches around, few minutes from the hotel. The ideal place to rest, relax and appreciate the beauty of nature.. if you deside this type of holiday
Review 11:The drive to Lower Krnca. It is not practical for people who have problems with heights, or steep winding roads. I would not have booked this location had I known this in advance. It should have been disclosed up front.
Review 12:The hotel appeared to be lovely but I ended up having to stay elsewhere. The hotel staff arranged for my alternate location. The hotel is in Lower Krnca and I would not have been able to drive down to it in the dark after the event I was in the area for. If I had known about the drive, I would not have booked the hotel.
Review 13:Scorpion in the room.
Review 14:The place.
Review 15:bez signala mobilnog operatora
Review 16:ljubaznost osoblja
Review 17:messy location, messy camps in the immediate proximity of the hotel, no gsm signal
Review 18:clear sea-water, the pool
Review 19:I liked everything !
Review 20:The hotel is in really nice location. Carmen (the owner) and her Mum are lovely! Quiet place, delicious breakfast, rooms simple, but comfortable. I would stay there again!
Review 21:The man of the house and mother didn't speak English and just a littlebit German, so the communication was often not so good. They were alsonot so friendly too. The breakfast was every day exactly the same andthe bread was very dry and not tasty, more variation would by nice. Beware of the mosquitos, they are a lot....
Review 22:The rooms were clean en good beds. We were searching for rest and wefound it there. It's a very, very calm town Krnica. The lady of thehouse, Carmen, was very nice and a great manager, she keeps the hotelrunning, a day without Carmen is chaos ;-). She's a great cook too andwas very helpfull with information all kind. The price/qualityproportion is ok, it's worth its 3 stars rate but not more. I recommendthe hotel for everybody to rest voor max. 3/4 nights there. Not torecommend with kids because of the quiteness.
Review 23:When you arrive at this hotel, passing through the campsite to getthere, you know that you have made a mistake booking it. Everythingabout it said cheap. There is no possible way that they can justify the4 star rating and the €82 per night price tag. When we arrived, therewas nobody at reception and we had to go off in search of somebody.Eventually we were shown to our room, three floors up with no lift, which was very small and was furnished with Ikea furniture. The "seaview" was only possible if you stuck your head out from the balconyround the concrete wall division with the next room. The bed was hard, but had a thin topper on it which stopped the bruising. In the bathroom, there were no toiletries and the bath towels were hardly big enough tocover your modesty. Breakfast was cereal or cold meats, and the restseemed to consist of whatever you happened to be offered - we wereoffered omelette, grudgingly or so it appeared. We did not eat in theevening so I cannot comment. The air conditioning was not functioning in our room, so I asked if it could be switched on. I was told that it was too cold for air conditioning and just to open the door. If it says "air conditioning" on the room description on Booking.com when you purchase the room, then it ought to be made available. Switched off is the same as no air conditioning! This hotel is only 2-3 star, and not worth more than €50 per night.
Review 24:On the positive side, the hotel was clean and the pool was also veryclean. In our room, the wifi worked well, but they told us it doesnot work in all rooms. Unfortunately, although it is situated in alovely little bay, there is no beach and did not seem as if swimmingwas possible.
Review 25:The road to go to the city a bit long.
Review 26:The place quiet and beautiful, the swimming pool and the beach. Theadvices from Carmen really nice.
