Reviews for Sienna Estate Lodge And Winery
Review 1:We had a room upstairs which was a bit hot and stuffy in the unseasonal hot weather, but it was good value.
Review 2:The grounds and the location were lovely. A winery and lovely tea rooms within a short walk made it a great spot. The outside areas were pretty.
Review 3:The Winery Manager was fantastic, gave us so much local advice on food, wineries, scenic attractions and was attentive and accomodating to our needs as a guest. Would highly recommend. In a great central location to dunsborough, yallingup and Meelup beach. Rooms are well kept and the balcony views are sensational.
Review 4:very poor wifi, no assistance or knowledge where we could get better wifi.did not switch on the air conditioner prior to our arrival as the room was very hot inside. property could do with some maintenance.
Review 5:Well used furnishings and seating No working WIFI as advertised Restaurant attached not open for Evening Meals and expensive Reminiscent of a well used old Australian Country Motel in terms of room fit out not upmarket accommodation in Margaret River Poor Value for money
Review 6:This was a fantastic, cute and quite accommodation choice. Keys were awaiting our arrival with a lovely welcome message. The room felt like the cosy insides of someones house with lovely views over the gardens and pond. Very peaceful and relaxing. Loved it!
Review 7:Staff were very helpful and friendly, giving us information about where to go in the area, the little winery next door Barnyard is amazing , as is the Lavender tea house.
Review 8:The curtains on the doors and windows let too much light in. Not ideal with an early rising sun and wanting a sleep in.
Review 9:Location was perfect. Winery and restaurant next door. Complimentary wine.
Review 10:when we arrive there were no reception, we didn't really see or speak to anyone and we just dropped our keys at the reception place when we left
Review 11:We liked the location, just few minutes from Smith beach and canal rocks, the size of the room and how clean it was. Charming place with lovely sounds of frogs at nights
Review 12:We were on the bottom room and could hear the people walking around in the room above us very early in the mornings
Review 13:Location was great food and wine good and lavender cafe was great too
Review 14:This is a suggestion not a complaint. The bathroom door would have better if it was hinged the other way. This would stop a lot of light entering the bed area at night.
Review 15:It was so peacefull and close to everything loved our stay. Ray &Annie Taylor.
Review 16:Great size room for twin. Excellent restaurant breakfast and friendly service at the Barnyard Restaurant next door. Well located for vineyards and national parks.
Review 17:To Close to Road & Main Caves Road also front Facing Room which was noisy at Night.
Review 18:Good Location in MR Region, Barnyard Restaurant Next door also owned by Sienna Lodge had Great Breakfast.
Review 19:Room needed a bit of maintainance. One window screen was coming off A bit close to Cabes Road, so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper Kitchenette could do with a coffee plunger
Review 20:Friendly check in Nice gardens
Review 21:Poor internet and mobile phone connections despite property advertised that it had free wi fi in all units. really frustrating. Kitchenette facilities poor, no BBQ facilities at property
Review 22:Location, quiet, pretty garden
Review 23:Rain water is provided but we would have liked more. We asked at reception and they were happy to refill but it's not that convenient. The room upstairs was a bit noisy.
Review 24:Super comfy bed and a lovely outlook over the lake. The Barnyard restaurant next door excellent!
Review 25:Nobody there when we arrived and that was at 2.30pm and it was our estimated time.
Review 26:The location and the information we were given to tell us where to visit was a huge help.
Review 27:Noisy from neighbours above as every step or turning in the bed can be heard (not to mention bathroom activities). The fridge is minuscule.
Review 28:Location is good for getting around Yallingup area. The new restaurant next door is nice.
Review 29:Don't go to the lavander tea house next door. We got a bowl of soup, a cup of tea and a plain scone for four people and it cost over $100.
Review 30:The bottle of wine in the bedroom on arrival was a nice touch.
Review 31:The only issue was there was no signal for our phones, and the wifi didn't reach our room. On the one hand it was a little tedious to drive to town to text or call someone, but on the other hand, it was also nice to be disconnected from the world for a few days, so while it was a bit of a hassle, there was still some good to come out of this negative. :)
Review 32:Absolutely loved the size of the room, and the facilities it had; was the perfect size. The views from every window were stunning, the location is so picturesque. And loved the overall welcoming feeling received upon arrival from the staff. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend, would definitely stay again.
Review 33:The guys are opening up a gorgeous restaurant just next door. Sorry I was there too early for opening :( The host was friendly and advised great places to go to eat and drink
Review 34:No toaster in room that would have been nice
Review 35:Was not worried about bearkfast so no worries. The people were great left us to it but there if we need anything. Great places to eat & drink.
Review 36:Our queen room was spacious, clean and I feel that it represented excellent value for money. An excellent low cost place to stay in the Margaret River region!
Review 37:Ok, it is an 'inn' toe feel, so you hear a few people walking around upstairs. Also water in the pipes. However, given how affordable the room was, it wasn't a problem!
Review 38:For $139 a night I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Huge bedroom with table for two with TV and air con. Private bathroom too! Even little things like free drinking water, coffee, milk, soaps.
Review 39:The room was very comfy and cosy. It felt just like Nana's country place. A little corner of piece and quiet right in the middle of all the good spots. It was very relax and I would suggest it to all my friends and family.
Review 40:Staff could not be more accommodating. Very polite and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms where spotless and a bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch.
Review 41:The poor sound proofing of the floors meant it sounded like someone was stomping around above us.
Review 42:Clean Good location Very helpful and friendly staff
Review 43:The rooms were lovely, looking out on to a lovely garden. With a terrace. Very comfortable well appointed rooms. With a fridge. Very useful. For the beautiful wine.
Review 44:No reception on your phone was slightly annoying - would have been to have wifi so we could do some research on the area around us.
Review 45:loved the decor, layout and the whole place. Really comfy and easy going and it was such a great little hub to start out from. Definately would stay there again and recommend it to others. Super chilled.
Review 46:Due to the cleanliness of the rooms, it affected the quality of the stay. Bad musty smell in rooms and dust and dirt. The carpets needs to be replaced as they are very dirty and musty smelling. I suffer from ashma and battled with the smell.
Review 47:Privacy
Review 48:Poor wifi inside our room
Review 49:Staff were very friendly & helpful. On arrival we were given wine & chocolates which was a nice surprise. Set overlooking pretty garden. Old-fashioned Swiss chalet style room with comfortable bed. Included microwave which was not expected. Nearby to beautiful Smiths Beach & Canal Rocks; not far from Dunsborough for supplies.
Review 50:The wifi didn't work but that was a minor detail in an overall great experience
Review 51:Location was perfect. Wineries were all so easily accessible. Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and the complimentary wine and chocolates were a lovely touch.
Review 52:The noise ! We were under another appartement without any phonic isolation and the plumbing was terribly noisy too.
Review 53:Nice cottage rather well equiped. Warm welcome from the manager. The place lacks the see view of course which is of prime interest when going to Yallingup but it was a good "last minute choice" nevertheless !
Review 54:Ii felt it was misleading advertising on website. I thought i was booking chilled out relaxing accomodation withun a winery but actually it was more like motel accomodation on the side of 2 very busy roads., definitely not ehat i was looking for which has affected my experience of the place negatively.
Review 55:Friendly staff, clean accomdation. Great wifi. Nice bathroom and furniture.
Review 56:The lounge/fold out bed was uncomfortable to sit on and the TV was badly placed for watching from in bed and the sound system needs to be bought into the modern era
Review 57:The peace and seclusion as well as the lovely aspect from our front porch, the little Willie Wagtail birds came and played in our doorstep. The room was a delight with plenty of room. Ensuite was beautiful
Review 58:The wi-fi in our room didn't work, infact there was no phone reception whatsoever. We arrived at 2pm and there was nobody to welcome us. The state of the place was atrocious: in serious need of renovation. Old carpet and stained chairs. The pictures are deceiving: the place doesn't look anything like that.
Review 59:Location
Review 60:Friendly, helpful and efficient lady, who was front of house. Good location for beaches, eating out and exploring the Margaret river area. Very comfy and clean with everything you need. Super shower room.
Review 61:Cannot find anything to complain about.
Review 62:Good sized room, very clean & comfortable with adequate amenities. Staff very friendly & helpful. Would most definitely return as the location is ideal to visit the many attractions of the area. Good value.
Review 63:No mobile reception but I guess it is not their fault i just chose to be with the "wrong" provider (Vodafone)
Review 64:I loved the enthusiasm of the staff. Nothing was too much for them. Lovely venue with attention to detail. Landline provided free of charge in foyer
Review 65:The pillows were not to my liking, however this could have been easily fixed if I had of remembered to bring my own!
Review 66:Excellent location and I loved the how the property was quiet and so relaxing the whole time we were there.
Review 67:No free cookies nor minibar food - we were starving as all restaurants eateries closed pretty early.
Review 68:King bed, AC, room # 5 very easy access from carpark (no stairs), free wine
Review 69:There was nowhere close to go for breakfast, well not at 7/8 in the morning anyway, and also have to travel to go out for dinner but would definitely stay there again.
Review 70:The decor of the room and the serenity of the location. Great place to chill out and unwind also would be a great spot in the winter. Ideal for visiting the Margaret River wine region.
Review 71:Noisy+. Heard every movement in the upstairs unit & the plumbing was very loud / kept waking us up. As a converted garage it was not well done. BYO pillow! Their pillows so overstuffed & high we couldn't use. Lucky we only booked one night & could go elsewhere to rest! Bottle of wine left our room had the seal broken & was not good tasting. Mossies everywhere.
Review 72:Location. Availability. The company!
Review 73:Noise from upstairs by people just walking about so there was nothing the other guests could do to make it better it is a function of the construction and soundproofing of the structure.
Review 74:Private location of our room Rm 9
Review 75:Nice clean room with a nice federation styled bathroom. The bottle of wine on arrival went well with dinner. Comfy bed with great views over the grounds. Would happily stay again. Well located for exploring the local wineries, caves and craftspeople.
Review 76:Nice room, well equipped and comfortable. Free wifi. An excellent bottle of white wine offered by the Hotel, we really enjoyed it! We arrived when the reception was closed, but a note to my attention was waiting for me, and the room door was open, so absolutely no worries.
Review 77:No reception after 5pm
Review 78:Comfortable bed, clean room, lovely surroundings. Would have been nice to be greeted by a person rather than a note, but a bottle of their homegrown wine in the room was a lovely surprise! Would stay there again.
Review 79:Being the only ones in the establishment at night. (Owner only there for a few hours during the day although he was friendly and helpful). Wd be nice to have a communal lounge with tea/ cappucino facilities where you could socialise with others if you wanted to.
Review 80:Fabulous outlook onto beautiful lake and gardens. Quiet location and delightful Cape Lavender cafe next door
Review 81:wifi was really slow. Only commenting on this as if u needed to do business u would find this very annoying.
Review 82:bed comfortable, bath as well as shower, room was very big and beautiful, loved the floor length windows which showed off the gorgeous garden, styling of the room was lovely, felt at home and very restful. All in all absolutely wonderful!
Review 83:Charm of the place. Cozy. We stopped there just for the night and I wish we spent a little more time in the area. Complimentary bottle of local wine was also a nice surprise.
Review 84:Peak hour traffic (afternoon) created a lot of noise due to proximity of Caves Road. Room was a bit worn & tired, could do with refurbishment. No phone signal (Optus) & couldn't get WiFi to work.
Review 85:Staff friendly & welcoming. Garden area nice. Bed was comfortable.
Review 86:Sienna Lodge has character and charm and provides a beautiful tranquility, a respite from the pace of modern life. We will definitely stay there when next down South.
Review 87:Heard the person staying upstairs walking around. Luckily the person also went to bed at the same time as us so had good night's rest for the two nights we were there.
Review 88:Our room was clean, tidy with two single beds. Loved the complimentary bottle of wine and cold rain water. Very hot water so had lovely showers. Great location.
Review 89:No complaints or dislikes that we could think of.
Review 90:Peaceful location, verandah to sit on and watch the sun go down. Listened to the frogs (in the pond outside our room) and beautiful soft bush sounds of an evening. Short drive to fabulous beach, coastline and picturesque forests, farms and vineyards. Hope to go again soon. Free upgrade on the room, courteous staff, very clean facilities.
Review 91:Sienna is a small property. They have their own vines and make their own wine which they generously give away to each guest to enjoy. The rooms are gorgeously decorated in country style. The rooms with a view are well worth staying in overlooking the vineyards and small lakes. The owners are extremely helpful and will direct you to the different tours and places of interest. There is no food on the premises but there is a cafe right next door. The area is fabulous. It is a 2 minute drive to the spectacular Smiths Beach. Dunsborough is about a 10 minute drive with many restaurants along the way and convenient stores in the town. There are caves and galleries close by. Sienna is great value for money and I will definitely go back.
