Reviews for Lido Camping Village

Review 1:Paying for wifi and it only goes til midnight then you have to pay again for the next day even if just using it in the morning before you leave. Also you have to pay separately for each device. There were 4 of us each with our devices so felt that was unfair. That said, the front desk staff was very accommodating. Also it was not best choice for us as we were travelling and didn't have our own sheets towels dish towels etc so had to rent or use paper towels etc. garbages didn't even have bags It probably said that on the site but it took us by surprise. Also there is free wifi at the cafe if you buy something but you have to go to reception to get connected which is not very practical.

Review 2:Lots of room and location by the lake ( although our cabin was back off the lake closer to he road. Very quiet when we were there beginning of September.

Review 3:The night receptionist did not speak a Word english, wich made it a bit difficult as we arrived a bit late. But he was friendly and we got it right at the end:) the mobile home had a bad smell when we arrived, maybe because it was low season and had not been in use. That got better the next day. All in all it was WELL worth the money and we would come back:) also looked like a Nice pool area but this was closed when we were there in late september

Review 4:The toilet/shower building was really Nice. The reception staff in daytime was very polite, helpful and smiling. Nice mobile home that we rented, did not charge extra for cleaning. Very satisfied:)

Review 5:Even though it was peak season, most of the advertized facilities like the cinema, animation, entertainment etc were not available. The staff were pooly informed about what was going on and could not provide information. Unless you brought your own equipment and entertainment, there was nothing to do. I had booked a chalet and as compared to other self catering facilities, this one was not very well equipped: very basic and small things were missing like a sharp cutting knife, small bowls etc

Review 6:Location was great, premises were clean and well maintained, quiet

Review 7:Reception said it might be a bit noisy as it was festa week and weekend. It didn't disturb us over by reception at all. Perhaps not enough equipment in the bungalow to do a lot of cooking but we were OK cooking meat, salads, pasta and lunches. No kettle but an open pot, perhaps needed an oven glove to take off the boil for tea.Long wait for self service food a couple of times but it was by far the busiest week of the year. So can't imagine a big issue normally.

Review 8:Clean, tidy, good facilities. We had a bungalow. Nice lady who spoke English on reception. The lake is wonderful and this site seemed the best from the others we looked at whilst there. Hire a bike and boat from Bolsena town. Windsurfing and other activities in the site itself with a patient group of teachers and a very reasonable 1st lesson charge. Swimming pool, lovely (small charge seems to keep it quieter) and with the lake so close and warm, it's just and alternative swim. There was entertainment on most nights. Shop reasonably priced, good selection and range. Restaurant good selection a bit pricey for self service perhaps. We really enjoyed the campsite and the town which can be reached with a 20 min walk along a path by the lake. We just had a small rucsac each and so found everything that we needed here. Towels and bedding are supplied for a charge. Seemed a good mix of locals who always go and a wider traveling group. The town is lovely and was very busy with markets and live music when we were there (festa). Castle, fun for kids and a bike was useful for around the camp and nips in and out of town.

Review 9:No free wifi. Cratered mainly to campers.

Review 10:On lake. Good staff

Review 11:Beautiful lakeside location. Well laid out site and good facilities.

Review 12:Loud gardening machinery, I think we were there the week before peak season, but the sound of hedge trimming was non-stop - Please... buy electric!!!!

Review 13:Well-organised, peaceful site. Absolutely beautiful lake front,

Review 14:Pool wasn't open and that was a big disappointment to our children. Also the cottage could have been better cleaned, especially the floors were filthy. Also there weren't any mosquito screens in either windows or the door. Although there was air conditioning, it would be nice to keep the door or the windows open when you are not using the system. Now it was impossible because of the lack of the screens.

Review 15:On a high season Lido camping village is apparently a good place to stay because of the variety of the services is good and it's nicely located by the Lake Bolsena. Cottage was spacious and beds were comfortable. Service was good in info but in the bar it was hard to get by in English.

Review 16:The staff was friendly and very nice, good facilities and a supermarket 4 or 5 min drive
