Reviews for Camping Bella Italia
Review 1:The apartment was very cold and my son was just getting over an illness so this was very concerning. I was given electric heaters but one of them kept tripping the electric as if there was and electrical fault. It was replaced but it done the same thing.maybe it was to do with having too much electric running as the issue stopped once I turned it down. The hobs on the cooker were not all working. The shower leaked all over the floor. I did not like the fact that after paying for linen I Had to strip the linen from the beds and return them on he last day. We went shopping and got a taxi back but the taxi was not allowed to drive us to the apartment so we had to struggle with lots of shopping back to the apartment. It would have been nice to have been pre-warned that the pools were not opened as we had expected them to be open.
Review 2:Being by the lake was beautiful. The bar was great and the staff in there were very friendly and engaged in conversation with us. The location felt convenient allowing us to visit different parts of Italy.
Review 3:The staff were like robots, polite but nothing more. The sports facilities very old. Value for money not great.
Review 4:The location for the lake and Gardaland.
Review 5:No free WiFi. Walking by the lake is not very god idea, it smells realy bad.
Review 6:Free parking, close to Gardaland and Sirmione, not too crowded (we were in October). The kitchen is equiped for making simple meals so that was also plus. The staff was friendly.
Review 7:the entire camping is very big and it should be more toilets around
Review 8:swimming pool was open in october , much to do with young children (bungee, playgrounds etc)
Review 9:Very small rooms. They took a lot of money for towels and shits at the morning we clean alone the house. Maybe good for campers but not for one night travelers.
Review 10:Great location
Review 11:Very busy so it took us more than an hour to check in. Supermarket is quite expensive. No free wifi. Also if you buy wifi, you cannot use it from your room, have to go to a place with wifi spot.
Review 12:Comfort and clean room. Well equipped. Very nice location, close to Lake Garda.
Review 13:Really busy..its a huge site. Supermarket expensive. Left before 8am were charged extra 30 euro for cleaning??
Review 14:Great location, lovely campsite. We stayed in bungalows which were spotless and well equipped.loads to do kids had a ball. So did we.
Review 15:The bungalow was showing its age a bit and the connecting walls are just too thin, letting a lot of neighbouring noise through.
Review 16:Fantastic location and nice pools for the children. The staff were very helpful and the supermarket was very convenient and well priced.
Review 17:It was extremely busy and you had to que for sun loungers, there were many arguments between people at the pool over sun loungers. The pool was very busy and not at all relaxing with a ball thrown at my head every five minutes. I think Bella Italia let too many people stay there for the amount of facilities available. The accommodation (bungalow) was very expensive for what it was. It was very dated and we had an infestation of flying ants all over our ceilings one night which we had to clean up ourselves. The cleaners came the next day and we had to vacate the property whilst they sprayed and cleaned it. We had no apology from the staff about this and no compensation.
Review 18:The location was excellent.
Review 19:Wifi was hit & miss .. Check in & check out was a bit of a nightmare, but we arrived at 10am and queued only half hour.
Review 20:The location & the whole chilled out safe atmosphere
Review 21:The issues where an over whelming smell of urine, the shower tray wasblocked once you used it it overflowed, there was old hair and mould allover the shower, tray ,walls and the cord you pulled. When we moved the small bin there was spilt sour milk on the floor in the kitchen under the bins. The fold away sofa bed was so brown and stained it would make your stomach turn. We complained as I said Monday and when our friends left Wednesday I complained again to try sort this out on Friday about 2 pm cleaners arrived gave a quick clean and left the place was still filthy. We checked out Saturday but as we had an early flight in the morning time and there office does not open till 8am and we wanted to leave at 7am there was a charge for leaving early and get this for a joke it's a 30 euro cleaning charge. So I explained again for the third time that we made the place clean it was disgusting on arrival. Also note on Friday before we where about to go swimming we took a count of numerous old plasters in the pool so needless to say we did not go swimming. I ask you again where did 4 star come from was the place ever checked. This property should be closed before someone gets seriously ill health from the place. See attached photos.
Review 22:Nothing
Review 23:No mention of the compulsory fee of thirty euro for cleaning of bungalow when leaving during the night in advertisement for this accomodation. Felt that staff could have been more knowledgable about bus timetables & specific times/ location of bus collections for free buses to Gardaland & Caneva (given that these are very popular tourist destinations) Wifi, while available, was not reliable.
Review 24:Air conditioning in bungalow given high temperatures La Terraza Restaurant on site which was reasonable & beautifully located overlooking Lake Garda
Review 25:There was a microwave in our kitchen, but no socket to plug it into. No kitchen towels to dry up washing. The sofa / bed cover was dirty and full of ants.
Review 26:Pool staff were very friendly and helpful. The pools were very clean. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Great value in restaurants.
Review 27:Check in/ Out. I have read numerous reviews about the issues with checking in, including delays in the heat and there really should be an easier solution. Whilst these were expected on check in (we ending up waiting for 70 minutes at 11:30 am and had to return at 16:30 for keys) we encountered the same problem at check out. A significant queue is not ideal when reception opens at 8am, and you have a taxi coming at 8:30, but you can not simply drop off the keys etc as you need to wait for the return of your deposit.
Review 28:Location of camp to Lake Garda and the nearby town is perfect. Restaurants on camp are of a nigh standard, both in food and service. The swimming pools are fantastic for the kids and didnt get too busy.
Review 29:Cooking in the bungalow is limited to using a frying pan and the freezer is very small but you can rent out a BBQ or even a larger fridge from a company that drops it to your door, details from reception. Check in is very busy and out is very early [ out by 10am ]
Review 30:Bella Italia is well located right beside the lake. It has a great range of places to eat with very good food, a supermarket thats not too badly priced. Public transport is very good in the area, there is a bus stop outside the front gates and if you fancy a boat trip on the lake its a 10 minute walk along the lake to Pescheria where you can board and there you can also get buses to Verona.
Review 31:Nice place overall, but only one restaurant, where's only one pizza to gluteinfree person.. Market in the area sell only one kind gluteinfree bread..
Review 32:Very poor Wifi. People are allowed to reserve sunbeds at the pools. The staff should secure that this does not happend. The bungalow could need a refreshment of the paint outside.
Review 33:The Orlando bungalows are fine and ok equipped.
Review 34:Far too crowded. Swimming pools not clean. Reception not properly resourced. Queues all the time so much so that we checked out a day early and went to Verona to avoid the mayhem.
Review 35:The appartment near of evening animation programm. Noisy. Some sport animation wasn´t organised optimal. Footbal school (30 children - one coach - it is not good)
Review 36:Next all were OK
Review 37:Our bungalow was not clean at all! We complaned, but the standard of cleaning, is just very poor. So I spent the first day cleaning. Even the dishes were dirty and there were a lot of ants in our bungalow. We had to buy a product to get rid of them. The cleaning lady didn't see the ants as a problem. Once everything was clean, the bungalow was basic but ok. If you want to do special activities you have to pay extra. This is also for some of the kids activities (bouncy castles and trampolines) It's a pitty you have to pay for WiFi and then have to go to the WiFi-zone (playground) to use it. It was very slow and hardly worked. We didn't use up all the minutes we paid for seeing it didn't work well, and we got tired of waiting for sites to open. We only wanted to check our mail.
Review 38:The staff was very friendly. It's a big but beautiful campsite wiht lots of things to do. The swimmingpools are great. The airco in the bungalow was really welcome! The campsite is in a beautiful location. At thel lake you get really beautiful views. If you come by car, you can visit really nice little vilages like Verona, Peschiera del Garda and Simione. There are also some supermarkets (Familia, Lidl, penny market) within 10km of the campsite so you don't have to buy your food at the expensive supermarkets at the campsite.
Review 39:only few small things nothing serious etc. attention: before you start closing the door with key "you need to push the door pulling handle up !" and if anything need to repair pls register name of the lady at reception
Review 40:Very good location, all what you need at the complex, 23:00 fix end and quiet
Review 41:Stinky toilet in bungalow. Paid WiFi.
Review 42:Camping is huge. Lots of Green great pools lots of attractions. Well kept camping. Personel quickly responds to all inquires. Infrastructure well developed. All you need is at place. Charming Town. And weather. Sunshine everyday!
Review 43:We did not like this type of mass touristic accommodation. I prefer something smaller with more charm.
Review 44:It is well organized, I cannot say anything bad, the "tourist dream factory" works properly.
Review 45:Great place to stay very safe and clean, lots of things to do, very near all the attractions and places of intresst, staff very friendly and the shops on site are very well stocked, really enjoyed our stay we will be back again.
Review 46:Mobile could have done with a grill and it was very close to the neighbours. The menu at the snack bar is very poor but the waffles are great, service can be slow
Review 47:Laid back atmosphere. Location is great.
Review 48:Weather is hard to predict, very hot to wet to cloudy in three days.
Review 49:Best family holiday to date, you could stay on site fed and fully entertained for two weeks without leaving. A complete one stop shop.
Review 50:The size of it is also a downside - it took us (11 members in team) to check in about 2 hours and another 1,5 to check out. Something to that needs to be taken into account when making plans.
Review 51:It is a big camping site so you have everything you need in the premices - from store, bars to washing maschines etc.
Review 52:The apartment was not so very well cleaned.
Review 53:Great water parks and playgrounds on every corner make the Bella Italia Campground very family friendly. The supermarket and the restaurants on the area were convenient and fair in price. The location Peschiera is a good starting point for trips!
Review 54:Only bad experience was hot water didn't work at first, but was fixed shortly after I reported. The train station was a bit too far to walk in hot weather is approx 45mins away. There was no direct bus to the train station, only to Peschiera town. WiFi was €1 per hour but at times was very slow and only available at certain hotpots.
Review 55:The nightly entertainment was very enjoyable for all the family. We stayed in an apartment, which was basic but spacious enough. The facilities were quiet adequate, although there's no oven. The place was quiet at night and quiet cool. The restaurants served tasty food at very reasonable prices. There was a range of activities. The supermarket was very affordable. Located just 5 mins from the lake beach and approx 20 mins walk to peschiera town. The range of pools were good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good for a day trip to both Venice and Verona.
Review 56:Accommodation was poor and overpriced, waiting to gain access to accommodation on checkin for 4 hours.every item had a hidden charge, restaurants were poor quality and finally had to que for sunbeds each morning.
Review 57:The pools and kids facilities
Review 58:Beds were hard but didn't stop the kids from sleeping well after busy days at the pool.
Review 59:Beautiful setting, great facilities and an animation team that had boundless energy..........we'll be back.
Review 60:No free deck chairs in pool area, bed linen and towel rent was a bit expencive
Review 61:There was everything - shops, market, caffees, restaurant, lake, pools etc
Review 62:The receptionist was arrogant and rude.... they are totally understaffed.... your problem remains ur problem.... totally not helpful!! Water was cold in the bungalows and technician was sent 24 hrs later.check in cue was till outside the room.
Review 63:Central area and sweet set up
Review 64:The humidity (April and May)in groundfloor appartments - almost constantly wet floor, towels and clothing.
Review 65:Location of the camp on the seacoast. Swimmingpools, entertaiment for kids. The vicinity of the Gardaland, Peschiera del Garda and Verona.
Review 66:Reception staff not helpful arrived late no help to get to accommodation, no info on what do to or where to go, charges for nearly everything, sheets towels etc... a lot of extras....didn't allow long after 10am for checkout, requested it before we went seeing as we didn't arrive till 10pm....buses never on time up to 70 mins late....
Review 67:location, pool, supermarket, lake and grounds very good, beautiful area loads to do....gardaland excellent & cheap taxi fares.
Review 68:Only warm and hot water in the bungalow. No WiFi, which is just ridiculous (especially given lack of cellular network coverage).
Review 69:Lots and lots to do, lovely location. Don't need a car.
Review 70:We had to wait an hour for checkin..we had three little kids so that is was a very stressful time and apparently we didnt even arrive in the busy time!
Review 71:Great facilities which we would have loved to explored a little more.
Review 72:Great location and surrounding area. Very good facilities in camp, restaurants, shops etc. Good comfort in bungallow, enough space, equiped kitchen, big toilet, A/C.
Review 73:This was an Easter break so the weather was not hot. The apartment was FREEZING!! 14 degrees and below at night. We only stayed for one of the three nights we booked. The small A/C in living area and bedroom were useless at heating the rooms. Very basic kitchen - no oven, microwave, kettle or toaster. Dirty floors and damaged walls. Very dim lighting throughout. Not what I was expecting.
Review 74:Great price and the location is fantastic. You can park right outside your accommodation. The apartments are a five minute walk to the pools and a 5-10 min walk to the shops, restaurant and bar. The area is quiet at night.
Review 75:The staff or rather the girl who did our check in - very rude (i.e. do you need the passports was greeted with "of course", delivered seriously with no hint of a smile/pleasant tone & leaflets were simply set on the desk, no explanation). The location (yes, it was both a like & a dislike) - the town & supermarkets are all a decent walk away - fine for a unladen stroll in the sun, but not so nice in the dark/rain or with a lot of shopping.Having 100€ demanded in cash on arrival (probably booking.com's fault for stating that it would be "taken on day of arrival" in a section called prepayment - to me a cash deposit on arrival is not a prepayment & should be requested not taken - I was expecting this to be taken from our credit card provided prior to our arrival & was left with virtually no cash after paying it - had the girl been helpful & pointed out the fee free cash machine 20 yards away on site, this would have been no issue). The broken kettle in the room (very dangerous as the handle could have fallen off at any time) - gas hob style rather than electric.Unwashed dishes - i.e. the cheese grater had some cheese left on it - the camp site does not wash any dishes between guests (even if you pay for "final cleaning") & relies on guests to do so (I would always wash them before use anyway, but they should at least warn of this policy - you may follow a nice family who leave the dishes sterilised, equally you may follow a group who don't care).Lack of instructions for using the hob, aircon, etc.The noise from above - group of school students who insisted on dragging chairs around, showering & running up the stairs that were in a boxed off corner of our bedroom at all hours of the day & night.Being asked to turn the fridge off 24 hours before departure.
Review 76:The value for money - impossible to beat; at least twice as much to stay in a decent hotel - makes a long stay possible/entirely affordable. The apartment was very spacious. The location was great next to the lake & with a bus stop just outside. The shop (when open) was good (would suggest stocking up in Lidl then buying extras on site). Fridge with icebox (capable of freezing water).
Review 77:Beach at the South of lake Garda is pretty ugly. It's a thin strip of dirty sand next to a pretty busy pavement. Nothing compared to the pretty beached in the north with the White pebbels, Palm trees and cristal clear water. The walls of the apartment are thin so take ear plugs. They mowed the lawn at 7 in the morning when we stayed there. The whole area is set up to be on top of your neighbours.
Review 78:If you have kids and look for an affordable holiday then go for it.
Review 79:the apartement was not the same as it was in the pictures, old equipment with bunk bad which is not appropriate for young children, next time we will rent a bungalow
Review 80:good locations, very nice camp with a lot of facilities for young children
Review 81:We have problem with booking. I have a confirmed reservation for two rooms, but they had reserved only one. This was resolved after 20 minutes, that they give us a better appartment for no extra paying :).
Review 82:Wery clean camp, nice pool, nice appartmans (no extra paying). Good price for family. We will come back.
Review 83:All facilities ie supermarket, fruit/veg shop, newsagent, restaurants, bar were some 800 yards from our bungalow. Payment method a bit strange. 100 euros deposit on arrival - no problem. Payment in full on departure - I've paid 100 euros too much! Then they refund the deposit. Very strange!
Review 84:The well furnished bungalow with everything provided. The views of the lake from within the campsite. The price.
Review 85:Noisy neighbours. Can't sleep until they quit walking around, having shower or talking.
Review 86:Perfect place for family holidays. A lot of services, close to the lake, 10 minutes far from Gardaland by car. Recommended!!!
Review 87:The bed is ok but it is better to prepare some new quilts.
Review 88:thanks for changing our room to a big one without increasing the price. The camping hotel is very quiet and I wish I could spend some more days there.
Review 89:Queueing to check in took a long time but staff did their best to deal with people as quickly as they could
Review 90:This is a large site with great facilities, three great restaurants and a wonderful location by the side of the lake. There a a number of bars showing a range of sports on television with all languages catered for. Lovely pool complex
Review 91:The accommodation is over priced. Ancient TV in living room. Kitchen equipment very limited no microwave. Nothing much to do once in Bungalow as TV is so small you can hardly see it. Taxi prices to get to attractions from Camp site are very expensive.
Review 92:The location is good right on the lake. There is a good mini market. Staff is very helpful.
Review 93:Absolutely nothing for anyone over about 12 and under 18. Basically, all there was for teenagers was to hang around on the lake front all night. No discos, or entertainment for anyone over 10 other than the bars.
Review 94:Good layout, nice location, with very good restaurants and shops at very reasonable prices
Review 95:No internet even at public zone The room was small for 5 personae and the bathroom was very small and old
Review 96:The location is great Big place Nice for children
Review 97:Not enought sun beds therefore every morning people stood waiting 30 min. before opening to get some of the few - - In future you have to find out something hiring system and that all families have at least 2 maybe 3 sunchars guarenteed . this other silly provide that we wont come back before this is solved
Review 98:The staff at the restaurant by the lake acted as if we were invisible from the time we arrived. 4 waiters walked by us standing at the entrance obviously wanting to be seated. In the end we just sat down at an empty table. The reception staff were extremely unhelpful also and made you feel as if you were putting them out. The bungalow that we stayed in wasn't ready until 5 in the night and was filthy... Then they charged me 30 euros to clean it on leaving as I was checking out early in the morning. Extremely disappointed with the camp as I had heard great reviews.
Review 99:The location and the pool
Review 100:Can get very crowded, you have to race to get a sun lounger in the morning, and our bungalow was a little grotty but comfortable otherwise.
Review 101:Lots to do for the kids, great pools that are all very family friendly, decent food options on site and a beautiful location with lots to see and do in the surrounding area.
Review 102:Having to pay for bedlinen/towels and a final cleaning charge of €30 when leaving, but no cleaning is done during the stay, having asked why some people didn't have to pay this charge I was told if I booked through Topflight these would have been included. No advice on local transport and no welcome pack in room. Not cleaned properly on arrival, ants in rooms. Whole bungalow needs upgrading, for the price it is not worth the money, and not 4star accomodation. Very busy in summer at reception and pool areas. No microwave in kitchen.
Review 103:We liked the location, near Gardaland and the town Peschiera-del-garda. We also loved the lawns, the beautiful pools, the lovely promenade .
Review 104:Check in was arduous and long. 100€ deposit must be handled in cash not credit. This took a chunk of our spending money upon arrival. It is not annotated that it has to be in cash. Also, the booking.com room was adjacent to parking lot and was a handicap facilitates room which made the toilet high for the 3 year old and an open shower layout soaked the entire bathroom. Also, the rental of linens is a little ridiculous in my opinion so we just brought our own. Now I am neck deep in laundry upon returning home.
Review 105:The location is gorgeous. Lake Garda is beautiful and the grounds were well maintained. The bungalows are very nice.
Review 106:Not knowing the out of season facilities was closed
Review 107:Being close to the lake
Review 108:Very well equipped and new clean furnishings
Review 109:no free wifi
Review 110:cool location
Review 111:no free wifi in 21th century
Review 112:location, cleaness
Review 113:additional fee for cleaning after check out, no free wi fi
Review 114:good location, free parking
Review 115:Entertainment not great
Review 116:Beautiful Place
Review 117:There were many spiders' webs in the bungalow.
Review 118:We liked the pools and the view of the Lake. The Area was well kept.
Review 119:nothing! cant wait to come back!
Review 120:loved the location, the facilities were excellent and very comfortable accommodation
Review 121:Its close to many places , you have there everything what do you need for holiday, its paradice for small children
Review 122:The paid Wi-fi is very poor.
Review 123:The location, facilities and staff were excellent.
Review 124:Bungalow kitchen living area is very compact
Review 125:Lots of activities and places to eat. Good supermarket on site
Review 126:Children loved pools , bouncy castles, minidiscos and swimming in lake with swans and ducks.
Review 127:Check out. Had to queue for 40 minutes. Completely unacceptable.
Review 128:Location, facilities, restaurant.
Review 129:To many additional costs. If you are looking for some comfort it is the wrong place
Review 130:Swimingpools
Review 131:Poor wi fi coverage, no AC remote in apartment
Review 132:Pool, staff, cleanless, lot of grass and flowers, supermarket
Review 133:Queues at check in
Review 134:Pools, comfortable furnishings, location
Review 135:Lack of free WIFI!
Review 136:Great place to stay. Like to return.
Review 137:bungalows extremely cold march 28 we must have been first visitors of the season
Review 138:surrounding attractions and towns
Review 139:great location for visiting lake Garda. The facilities on site are fantastic for young children
