Review 1：Owners don’t speak English but communication no problem. They supply ear plugs for noise but we didn’t find it a problem.
Review 2：Awesome location right on the town square which is a going concern and great for people watching. Three clocks bar is fun to sit with the locals. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices.
Review 3：Unfortunately no hot water due to broken boiler. Piombino is not a city for tourists. The ferry to Elba is pretty much the only attraction in the city.

Review 5：The Moderno is a charming hotel right in the city center of Piombino. The staff is fabulous and, in spite of the language barrier (I spoke little Italian and they spoke very little English) they went out of their way to accommodate my needs. I travel a great deal and am usually in large, business hotels. Moderno is not like those at all but it's charm and appeal will quickly win you over. The hotel is also located on the main pedestrian plaza through town so you'll enjoy strolling with the locals in the evening.

Review 8：Reception excellent. Centrally located and very close to the port. Room large,clean and comfortable. Bathroom excellent and good towels and very clean. Were kindly given free parking which was a huge bonus as difficult to find close by. No lift but only one level up. Would stay again and would recommend.
Review 9：Booked double-bed was two narrow single beds which wandered apart. Basic furniture, while we saw the next morning that the room opposite had a nice double bed with really nice and bright furniture, which looked totally different. No staff with English speaking skills.

Review 15：The Hotel is closely located to the nice pedestrian area in the Centre of Piombino. The staff even set up an earlier and nice breakfast to accomodate our early start! Big and clean Rooms
Review 16：We booked this because it looked very nice on booking.com but when we got there the first we had to tackle was the 3 flights of stairs with our big suitcases. The bed was very uncomfortable as were the pillows and the room and bathroom were extremely small. The breakfast was pitiful. Even the cornflakes were stale
