Reviews for B&B La Torretta

Review 1:Wifi was very weak in the room. But with summer weather we sat on the terrace for wifi. :)

Review 2:Sonia and Biagio are wonderful hosts. They invited us to have dinner with them and let us help them with harvesting their olives. Biagio has lots of stories to tell (about fishing and crafting and cooking) and can bridge any language barriers by using his hands and feet. The room is really nice and has access to a terrace. Breakfast was great. And they have private parking! We were lucky to have summer weather when we arrived in Cersuta. We could sit on the terrace and walk down to the rocky shore and the black beach and even go for a swim. The coast is stunning and we skipped all our plans for the day and just relaxed in the sun.

Review 3:Finding the place--especially in the dark--is VERY CHALLENGING. They need to give you a CUSTOM MAP identifying the restaurant nearby and the exact driveway you need to take. We were fortunate--after passing it twice and going about 40 km out of the way (hard to turn around at night)--to find a neighbor who walked us over to the place.

Review 4:The place has a very nice view from its position just off the hiway on the cliff...the room is small but atmospheric and there is a great balcony. Everything worked, location was important for wifi service which wasn't top quality...breakfast was very nice in the downstairs patio...parking is available on site.

Review 5:This place is epic. We had one of our best holiday experiences there. The place is owned by an extremely nice couple. We started to have fun since the moment we arrived. The owners are very friendly and warm. The rooms are so comfi and clean. The place is only 5 min walk from the sea. We are definitely gonna stay there again. Totally recommended.

Review 6:Sonia and Biaggio were excellent hosts, very kind, friendly and hospitable. The property is well-located, easy to find in the small village of Cersuta, and has magnificent views over the Gulf of Policastro.

Review 7:The house is 7 km's away from the village of Maratea on a curvy mountain road which makes it a tough ride in the dark. Some people might find the parking difficult as you have to drive a very steep and small path downhill.

Review 8:Nicely decorated room with great sea views. Very welcoming couple offering welcome drinks, tea in the evening and some nice snacks. There is a mini bar in the room (with commercial prices though) and a cool roof top terrace with sea views.

Review 9:The owners welcomed us with wine and bruschetta. They were delightful, full of info and very friendly. The rooms have decks with gorgeous views over the beautiful sea, we enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it. Southern hospitality at it's best, thank you both

Review 10:homemade breakfast each morning. Local knowledge of the area and recommendations on eating, beaches etc. coffee was good, facilities were nice, we felt part of the family with the hosts and other guests at breakfast time.

Review 11:Biago was an excellent and warm host. Made us feel very welcome and told us the best restaurants in the area and what else to do. Overall, a very friendly, safe and comfortable BB to explore Maratea and the coast.

Review 12:Very steep, narrow hairpin drive down to the B and B car park. One night due to thoughtless parking on the main road we scraped our hire car on the wall while trying to drive in.

Review 13:Welcome and concern shown by hosts. Fireflies in the garden at night. Proximity to Maratea and other places of interest.

Review 14:Sonia and Biagio were excellent hosts! We loved our stay in Cersuta, about 5k from Maratea. The two rooms were comfortable and each had an ensure. We had our breakfasts on the lovely terrace with ocean views. Highly recommend staying here!

Review 15:Hosts Sonya and Bianchi could not have been more helpful and friendly! Villa has lots traditional character with all modern conveniences done very tastefully. 3 minute was down to the sea to view sunsets. B&B location is quiet... nicely located close to Maratea but not too close. Private parking!

Review 16:This is a true B&B - you stay in the family's house, basically. They are warm and friendly, very accommodating with suggestions on what to see and where to eat - and I've never had better pastries for breakfast! Our room was small - but comfortable and had all the necessary facilities - and very clean!

Review 17:The mosquitoes ! Although it was November there were plenty around . The bed has a mosquito net but that didn't help . The host said the following day that she had forgotten to mention an electric 'zapper' which was in the room . Unfortunately , I've used these and they don't work . Further down in the south of Italy one B&B had door/window screens . These were completely effective and meant you could keep doors and windows open . I hadn't realised what a problem mosquitoes are in Italy in what we would call the 'winter' months .

Review 18:The room has a lovely balcony with a sea view . The hosts were very friendly and offered a drink and 'nibbles' when we arrived . The house and position provide an authentic Italian experience .

Review 19:The parking is a bit difficult due to the very narrow road. A large car wouldn't make it.

Review 20:The hosts are great! The views are fabulous!

Review 21:Nothing

Review 22:The owners are great and make you feel as if you have known them for ages

Review 23:Our host Biagio & his nice wife

Review 26:Car access is difficult

Review 27:Warm welcome and private terrace.

Review 28:Very friendly family, fine hospitality at it's best! Great breakfast!

Review 29:Totally beautiful! The sea is clear and blue, the air smells wonderfully of pine trees, La Torretta the building is full of charm and personality. Making it all very special are Sonia and Biagio, who look after you with ease and great attention to detail. You can relax as you would with friends you've known for years.

Review 30:nothing, was perfect!

Review 31:Biagio and Sonia are amazing. They are really friendly and always in for fun. We drunk some wines and they accepted us into the family. We felt weclome. The bed was good and we slept well. If it wasn't raining, the view would have been beautifull.

Review 32:Plastic cover under sheets. Not comfortable to sleep on. Entrance via a steep and narrow driveway so care must be taken on entering and leaving.

Review 33:Good view from terrace of the sea. Hosts very friendly. Walking distance to a good fish restaurant. On site parking.

Review 34:Road to B&Bvery tight &hard to see entrance fromhighway.Booking.com directions said it was in Maratea but actually it islocated in the area called Cersuta

Review 35:Very unique house&terrace overlooking the sea.Wonderful,helpful,thoughtful owners.Short walk to a rocky shoreline.Seafood restaurantshort walk away.Nicebreakfast with fruit&juice cakescereal,walnuts.cappuchino or cafe,tea

Review 36:A beautiful place with incredibly friendly hosts. Sonia e Biagio, mille grazie per tutto e tanti saluti. :) Great room, romantic atmosphere, free wifi, free parking (though watch out as you exit the main road - the little street leading to the house is very narrow and steep), great terrace with seaview. Nice restaurant (De Cesare) just a few steps away. Very highly recommended.

Review 37:nothing at all! it was perfecto:)

Review 38:Fabulous! We went for a short stop on the way and could not leave. Perfect location with amazing view, parking space, lovely and clean room, and the best part was meeting Sonia and Biagio...

Review 39:Fabulous place. We were made to feel so welcome on arrival and were greeting in reception with a plate of nibbles and a glass of wine which went down well after the long drive. The beach seemed like our own private beach just a short walk away. View from our window and terrace was spectacular.
