Reviews for Hotel Villa Eleonora
Review 1:Really wish the rooms had ironing board and minibar. Staff are not fluent in English, but they are very helpful and will do their outmost to help you.
Review 2:Excellent staff, very helpful, they let us use the beach full day on the day of our check-out and grave us grand service even the next day when we dropped by. Beach was free and not too crowded. Italian breakfast good. Parking was not a problem.
Review 3:Wi-Fi only in lobby. The guy on hotel's beach is not happy at all to see guests from hotel coz he reserves good beds and umbrellas for pay-on-cash peolpe from other tourists. Mess with parking on site (our car was blocked by car of another tourist whom noone could find for a while). "Sea view room" means "a little-little side sea view if you tall enough to lean out of the window.
Review 4:Location is good. In total it was not so bad. We would stay in this hotel again.
Review 5:Wifi was only in reception area. Breakfast was not great.
Review 6:Great location, private beach. Traditional Hotel, being I think the oldest hotel on this beachfront. Nice big room. Handy for restaurants, bars and beach, Parking was OK. Always amused when in our late forties we lower the average age of guests stopping somewhere by quite a bit. Loved the vibe of the area - it's very Italian working families which was good. Sea was also lovely here. Locals all felt friendly. Good value for money.
Review 7:Restaurant was closed during our stay, which isn't a huge deal because it's early in the season. I think this place would be much better when more stuff is open!
Review 8:Nice staff, clean building.
Review 9:Staff was pleasant and helpful but there was some difficulty communicating. Maybe during high season there is a staff member with better English skills.
Review 10:Location on the beach was great. Hotel and town was quiet in September but would be great in season. Very nice restaurant area and patio with 2nd floor sun terrace. Staff was so helpful in helping our relative from Tufo make contact with us. Room was large and comfortable.
Review 11:I liked the breakfast but could have more choice and the bar was limited in what they sold .
Review 12:The expansive and very comfortable room with a sea view .Very clean.
Review 13:Staff downstairs not do friendly, airconditioner didn't work below 24.
Review 14:Location right on long sandy beach. Price in early October amazing value. Great housekeeping. Lovely solarium all to myself.
Review 15:Our room was huge with a sea view and was extremely comfortable. Although there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms we were offered the small conference room to work during Friday and this was most welcome. The staff are great and the private beach is lovely. All in all a great little hotel.
Review 16:The most of all rooms has not window
Review 17:Hotel Villa Eleonora was the best choice for living in our travel because the sea, attractions and shopping are nearly. And we liked calm and polite situation in hotel. We spent a good time there.
Review 18:Room was very small. Did not like all the room keys just laying on reception desk..not secure. Fridge did not work.
Review 19:Good stopover place but excellent if you were on a beach holiday.
Review 20:Most staff do not speak English very well (the manager does though). No laundry on site but there is a laundromat within walking distance. The on-site restaurant has a fixed menu, are a bit expensive for what they offer, and do not always have vegetarian options.
Review 21:Easy 15-minute walk from Minturno Scauri train station, located on the Rome-Formia-Naples train line (I travelled from Rome via Trenitalia). Hotel is directly opposite the beach and you get a beach umbrella. Breakfast is pretty good. A supermarket, laundromat, ATMs and lots of restaurants are located within walking distance. Very good value for money and I'd definitely stay here again.
Review 22:Cheap Plastic toilet seats that slipped when you sat on them, both in the room and the public toilet. You took your life in your hands a bit, but we took the seat off in our bathroom and it was fine.
Review 23:It was very organised, very clean and the staff were very helpful. We had a refurbished room which was very comfortable.
Review 24:There was nothing i didnt like
Review 25:The staff were amazing and always very helpful and it was in a beautiful location.
Review 26:No wifi in the room. Not great anywhere in the hotel
Review 27:The hotel was right on the beach. Great position
Review 28:Liked everything :)
Review 29:Staff kind and location wow
Review 30:Not much English spoken
Review 31:Clean, close to beach, shops, transport once you work it out is OK
Review 32:dirty rubbish-bin in the bathroom, poor breakfast
Review 33:sea-view, and sea-view window even in the bathroom, own hotel beach, staff let us stay 2 hours more
Review 34:Unhelpful staff. Nightshift was very unfriendly and not welcoming.
Review 35:Clean room, on the coast, fair price
Review 36:Very small shower. need more hooks for hanging things
Review 37:Location. car park. Beach.
Review 38:Nothing
Review 39:Staff were friendly, helpful, bed very comfortable and room clean. We arrived just out of season so it was very quite in the whole area with not a lot open. This didn't bother us as we were just passing though. After finding somewhere open we were always welcomed in and made to feel at home. we may book again for return journey. Lovely place at a great price.x
Review 40:Nothing - met our requirements.
Review 41:We arrived after dark and appreciated there being an all-night staff member on duty. We left early next morning so really did not appreciate the hotel facilities. Breakfast was good. Met our requirements for a comfortable night at a reasonable price.
Review 42:Nothing. Everithing was as should be in 3* hotel near beach.
Review 43:3* hotel. Good inside, perfect breakfast. Safe parking. Helpfull staff. Near shop, beach, good for sleeping when traveling, not far from main road, would definitly come back, maybe in hotter time, trough full season.
Review 44:Very minor niggle - some hooks in bathroom would have been useful.
Review 45:Fantastic room with balcony and sea view. Very large, comfortable. Offered a gluten-free breakfast. Staff all very helpful. Great value for money.
Review 46:We had a lovely seaview room and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Very nice stay. Good location with nice places to eat nearby even late in the season.
Review 47:We stayed at a hotel for the same price earlier in the trip and the Eleonora suffered by comparison. It was a little dated, tired-looking on the exterior, and the staff, while professional, were interchangeable, whereas the comparably-priced hotel had attentive owners, a pool, new, up-to-date furnishings and so on.
Review 48:This hotel was fine with easy access to a beach for which they gave you a free ticket. The shoreline came to life at night. There was a nice terrace overlooking the sea.
Review 49:The best part was the service, especially one man who I believe may havebeen the manager. He went out of his way to try to find some Englishreading material that he thought he had (would be great if they had asmall library with both English and Italian titles, since they are aseaside resort). He also spent some time trying to track down some scubacompanies for arrange a dive for me. Very friendly and going out of hisway to help.
Review 50:The hotel was not anything like the photos at all. The rooms were dirty and had a bad smell. The bath was filthy and full of muld!! There were little bugs in our bed and mosquitos everywhere! The Wifi didn't work in the rooms. Nobody in the hotel was able to talk English and the staff was very unfriendly. It seemed like they do not want foreign travellers from outside Italy. The breakfast was alright but we noticed mice running around what freaked us out. The beach was close but also dirty and the neighborhood was very scary. Not really safe for kids or families.
Review 51:In our number there was no instruction how to use the safe - but the hotel staff explained us how to do this.
Review 52:Excellent place for a beach relaxing holiday! Very close to the beach - just cross a quite road - and you're there! This hotel has its own sand beach wich chaise-longues and umbrellas. Hotel is located close to the city center and railway station - I think it's best possible location in Minturno-Scauri! Breakfast is also very nice - good juice, lot of delicious pastries, excellent coffee, lovely spacious breakfast room. We liked design of our number - nice sea style, calm blue colour of walls. All bathroom equipment was new and clean. Also, a view from our number was very pleasant - directly to the sea! Staff was very helpful - they helped us when we had problems with safe. Very good and calm place.
Review 53:The outside of the hotel needs painting The solarium was all moldy The old old furniture in the waiting area nice bread rolls and cornetti. But very dried out cakes, no toast, or eggs.. The area around the hotel, no great restaurants, everything looking old and rusty. nothing to do no shower curtains too cheap on bathroom supplies
Review 54:The people that worked there the hairdryer
Review 55:Nothing to do in the area Absolutely no Internet in the rooms and they connect you at the reception with a company that require you to provide personal information before giving you one hour Very anoying procedure that took 20 minuts with help to get connected
Review 56:At the beach Breakfast is typical Italian Room was very big
Review 57:Simple breakfast but for us there should be something hot to choose andwe missed salad/tomato/fruits. Also tv was only in Italian.
Review 58:Very friendly personnel (we made some friends), good standard of theroom, we got seeview room which was quite big.
Review 59:The pictures seem misleading. Maybe it was because we stayed here during the "off season", but the hotel looked nothing like the pictures. The patio was dirty and dark and the beach was neglected and trashy.
Review 60:The staff was friendly and helpful.
Review 61:Plastic cups for your juice. Not a great choice for breakfast. Staff did not know how to set the safe up in room. Bar never open.
Review 62:View from room. Position of hotel in resort. Comfortable and clean room.
Review 63:No one able to give instructions on how to work the safe. Staff could have been a little more friendly. Bar was never open. Plastic cups for your orange juice at breakfast!!!
Review 64:The Hotel overlooking the sea. Car parking. Value. Very clean.
Review 65:Wifi wasn't accessible unless you have an Italian mobile phone tocreate an account. But the lovely staff let you use their computer.
Review 66:Great value for money. Staff are lovely. Awesome breakfast. Lovelyantique decor. Warm room with hot shower, enough to wash your hair (rarein Italy)!
Review 67:bathroom, when compared to bedroom, was a bit cold.
Review 68:location was perfect - at the seaside! 20 mins walk from the train station. breakfast was very good. we stayed in double bed room which was large enough, warm and clean. staff was helpful - they even gave us a choice among three double bed rooms for a better sea view! minturno is perfect for walking along the beach!
Review 69:no good in low season
Review 70:Everything. Fantastic hotel, great location, friendly staff. Highly recommended :)
Review 71:not a nice city to vacation in.
Review 72:private beach.
Review 73:No kitchen room service. Too far from Gaeta.
Review 74:The hotel itself is very nice with a great balcony overlooking the beach.
Review 75:Directly across the street from the beach, great location.
