Reviews for Albergo Pompei Valley
Review 1:BREAKFAST WERE LEFTOVERS FROM THE PREVIOUS MORNING AND KEPT BEING BROUGHT OUT(CONTINENTAL) LONG DIRTY ROAD FROM THE HOTEL AND A LONG WALK TO POMPEI CENTRE. LOTS OF DOG POO ALONG THE DIRT ROAD. SHOWER HEAD BLOCKED, SHOWER UNCLEAN, DOOR BROKEN . WE WERE MOVED FROM THAT ROOM AFTER AN ARGUMENT AND THE NEW ROOM WAS THE SAME. IT WAS VERY DARK IN THE ROOMS. DRINK PRICES ARE EXPENSIVE. POOL NEEDED CLEANING. RAILWAY LINE AT THE BACK OF HOTEL. WHEN WE ARRIVED WE THOUGHT WOW LOOKS VERY NICE BUT THIS IS JUST SUPERFICIAL. THIS IS NOT A WHINGE. SEPT. 2015
Review 2:THE DECOR WAS VERY NICE. ROOF TOP AND OUTSIDE SPACE V. NICE.
Review 3:The lighting in the bedroom was no good for me as I couldn't read unless I put my head at the foot off the bed!
Review 4:I like the terrace on top of the building , the swimming pool and breakfast.
Review 5:Breakfast area untidy e.g. Coats hanging up . All food uncovered !!! The toaster is a grill not really suitable . General cleanliness could be improved . The plunge pool (this is not a swimming pool ) was very dirty around edges . This is misrepresentation ..it is not a swimming pool the room for disabled has no outside window which means a light on at all times
Review 6:Friendly staff , beds were comfortable
Review 7:It was quite a walk from Pompeii town or a taxi ride.
Review 8:The staff were really helpful. kind and went out of their way for us. The pool was lovely after a hot day. The view of Vesuvius was excellent . It was quiet and peaceful. The hotel booked a lovely taxi driver for us who came really quickly- he was a really lovely Italian.
Review 9:Amazing service. The day we arrived we were not happy with the state of our bathroom (peeling paint and mouldy looking shower) but they happily changed our room. The staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcomed, especially Mauricio. I would definitely recommend this place, its great value for what you pay. You get it back and more.
Review 10:The only down side was having to reconnect to the wifi nearly every time we used it. But still a wonderful place to go. And I would definitely go back.
Review 11:The staff were incredibly helpful, the room was spectacular. The facilities were amazing. It felt like home from home. And the view from the roof terrace of Mt. Vesuvius was just divine.
Review 12:The toilet did not function perfectly well and the smell was a little bit too strong.
Review 13:The lights and the bubble-pool are a good idea and make the place different.
Review 14:The room was too dark and too blue. Wifi didn't work and staff couldn't resolve problem. Awfull strong pungent overpowering aroma in room. If hotel had other facilities we weren't told, maybe a language barrier!
Review 15:Free parking and friendly staff
Review 16:Clean, good service for a very reasonable price. it is a little walk from the centre off Pomeï, but it is a nice walk with a lovely view on mount Vesuvio.
Review 17:Front desk spoke good english and had room and key ready unlike most Italian hotels. New hotel in great location if you have car. Close to ruins. /staff was super friendly. Breakfast was very good. Coffee, perfecto!
Review 18:- english spoken by Google Translator - restaurant is the telephone to next take away ristorante
Review 19:+ very nice modern building + short way to Pompeji and Vesuvio (if you have a car or moto-bike!!!)
Review 20:Fantastic family run hotel and great people Defenatly will be back
Review 21:Drive into the hotel
Review 22:Near mount vesuvius
Review 23:The staff were very friendly and helpful. “Clean, good decor, great staff,. We really enjoyed our stay.

Review 28:Nice friendly owner. Prices are very reasonable very relaxing
Review 29:Maurizio was fantastic. He ordered dinner for us from a local restaurant and served us in the dining room. Nice walk to Pompei.
Review 30:They cant speak english and they dont offer food.
Review 31:very friendly persons
Review 32:Quiet, friendly, excellent service. Dinner on the top floor veranda was exceptional.
Review 33:The view of Vasuvias _ Spectacular! Service was friendly and excellent
Review 34:Hours for the pool.
Review 35:Nice room, quiet. The pool area was very nice. The price was excellent. Thanks Booking.com
Review 36:A bit in the back of beyond, up an unkempt dirty road, surrounded by barking dogs
Review 37:Very comfortable, lovely pool & very clean. Nice continental breakfast included.
Review 38:Nothing, only comment is the bed was a little firm for me, but my partner was exceedingly comfortable - a personal choice.
Review 39:What a surprise! Sitting amongst the local market gardens just outside Pompeii central is this wonderfully eclectic, modern and a little over the top hotel. Fabulous rooftop terrace, drink iced lemon cello while the sun sets over Vesuvius! Charming staff, great breakfast especially for Italy (no hot food), awesome coffee, lovely clean little pool with sun trap terrace - stayed an extra night!
Review 40:It is a little out of the way from Pompei but more than makes up for it in cleanliness, excellent staff and value. Imternet And hot water is spotty but would still highly recommend.
Review 41:Difficult to locate, booking link to map was not correct. Room on the small side, and no lounge area in reception.
Review 42:NIce quiet location yet close to Pompei ruins. Car was safe.
Review 43:The location : it's really out of town in a rather poor area. Walkable distance but not close : it's a good 20 minute-walk to the city center. The noise : loud music was played until 10pm on the terrace, and the swimming-pool pumping system was noisy too
Review 44:Friendly staff, excellent cleaning lady, nice modern rooms, rather small but fully equipped. There are not many rooms so it feels like you can get personal attention
Review 45:It's not very easy to find without GPS. Staff hardly speaks any foreign language. As is previous reviews I will definitely confirm all the things spoken about breakfast (See trough slices of cheese and salami. If plates with food and bread are empty when you arrive, no one will change it although there are just a couple of guests in hotel) We booked for 5 nights, but after second, we skipped breakfasts, as it was all the same every morning with the same ritual. Definitely recommend only for stay without meals.
Review 46:Hotel is excellent. Rooms are extra clean and it should get 4th star because of cleaning lady that is outstanding. If you are with car, there is free parking place under surveillance and you can easy go outside of Town and back.
Review 47:Parking could be sign posted more clearly. No English breakfast tea available only fruit tea.
Review 48:Unusual building. Home cooked food. Clean. Lovely little pool. Perfect for a short weekend stay. Short drive from Pompei. Parking.
Review 49:The location is very much out of town, takes 20-30 minutes to walk, through, in places, quite desolate land. In the daytime that's fine, at 10pm it's a little unnerving and there are NO taxis after 8 pm. So unless you have a car, don't be out after 8! Breakfast was standard Italian fare, except if you are not early enough ( before 8am) don't expect to get anything other than cake and packet French toasts. The bread , cheese and salami will have already gone. When we asked if there was more bread we were told no, though 5 minutes later we were offered croissants.
Review 50:We were a family travelling with almost adult children. We arrived early due to flight times, and though we were early were welcomed and showed to the Terasse which has panoramic views including Vesuvius. Both our rooms were spotlessly clean and the air conditioning was effective, and the fridges worked. The swimming pool was fun, and clean. the website states its open to 8. The hotel was quiet so sleep was undisturbed. We were using the hotel as a base for sightseeing and for that is was excellent, but unless you like walking 1.5km after dark, a car is a necessity.
Review 51:Location is a little out of the way but you can park your car for €2 atthe sanctuary in the city centre.
Review 52:Staff were very friendly. Good facilities. Very clean hotel. Family run.
Review 53:This hotel is far from Pompei. Taxi from the station near the ruins cost 15 Euros. If the sound of the passage of a train annoys you, don't go there. Perfect for those traveling by car.
Review 54:Having our meal outside in the little front garden. Swimming in the small pool after a day visiting Pompei's ruins. Very good for the price.
Review 55:Great little place. Really modern and comfortable. Only downside is it is a little bit out of town. Less than half an hour walk to Pompei ruins so actually if you don't mind a little stroll into town then its great!
Review 56:The Hotel is nice, very clean, modern, with good facilities, nice pool and decoration, the staff very helpful, I would recommend this place for a short break
Review 57:The sound proofing between rooms wasn't great and sounds carriedupstairs from the lobby. A small portion of cheese or lean ham at thebreakfast would cater for those who don't favour sweet cakes atbreakfast. Not easy to find without a Tom Tom.
Review 58:Spotlessly clean. Very pleasant staff. In a lovely rural setting yetjust a short length from Pompeii main streets.Good tea, freshly madeorange juice.Free car parking. Quiet and peaceful setting.Nice balconyoff room and seated terraced area outside.
Review 59:too far out, unless driving no hot food at hotel ie eggs at breakfast any evening food shipped in by scooter!
Review 60:Very clean
Review 61:Very modern hotel, with very friendly staff, a little pool and a good breakfast
Review 62:Liked everything!
Review 63:The staff was awesome. The rooms were immaculate and our kids didn't want to leave!
Review 64:Price, Atmosfere, Near to Pompei but in the countryside. Good Breakfast
